This recently renovated Sologne dwelling is friendly and on a private property of 80 hectares with pool. It is 2 h away from Paris. It is perfect for going for tourist trips. Cultural sites are nearby. Rental has been thought for welcoming large families or groups of friends (twenty-four beds for a surface of 390 m2). In a care of well-being of the guests, the dwelling offers three independent entries, two lounges-living rooms in the longere side, a large dining room to accommodate up to 24 people on the pool house side, three kitchens, and three staircases leading to the floors which thus allows you to gather and isolate yourself according to your convenience. The accommodation is composed of two adjoining buildings. The first 230 m2 two level called the "longere" offers beds for fourteen people whereas the second two level 160 m2 building called the "pool house" has beds for ten people.

Every year my family and that of my three sisters rent a large villa in France or Spain for our family holidays. There's a big group of us, and usually this is the high-point of our year. This year it was the low-point. Upon arrival at the property there were a number of issues: The decking towards the rear of the property was so badly broken up, it wasn’t possible to walk on it, and it represented a hazard to the elderly members of our party (my mum is in her 80s, my Dad in his 90s). Some of the doors inside the property did not open properly, and had been wedged shut. The fridge in one of the kitchens was very dirty, some of the pots and pans and cutlery were also dirty. We later found that three of the sun umbrellas were broken, so we were unable to dine outside during the day. There were only a handful of sun-loungers by the pool, and not enough for our party. Towards the front of the property were many bags of rubbish that had been left, by the previous occupants. It looks like they had partied hard. Their rubbish remained, rotting away for the full duration of our stay, attracting a stray dog and vermin. In the grass surrounding the property were many pieces of broken glass, which represented a hazard to our children, with one child cutting her foot. We spent hours cleaning those up. Within a day, the pool pump broke down, and the pool was unusable for the rest of our stay — the water was cloudy from the outset as it was. This was a major part of the property we couldn't use for all but one of our days. We sent multiple messages to the vendor about these and other issues. He did not respond. We also repeatedly called the number we were given for maintenance, the number they gave us was either inactive or incorrect, we received no answer. On our last day, we finally saw a contact for the property. He wanted to charge us more than we’d agreed for bedding (we’d not received enough bedding as it was), and for cleaning. We drew this contact's attention to the broken glass, the broken pool pump, the broken umbrellas. He acknowledged that this was all unacceptable, and apologized for the poor state of the property. Since returning, we have received a message from the owner via the VRBO app who want to charge us 500 euros for the ‘living area’, the three umbrellas (that were broken before we arrived), and for sheets we didn't receive, plus other unspecified charges for 'the living area'. Do not touch this place with a bargepole.

Gîte d'une propreté impeccable! Nous avions loué les deux gîtes de cette propriété pendant une semaine, les batisses sont impressionantes par leur volume et amenagées avec beaucoup de goût.Tout l'équipement est vraiment pensé pour une capacité d'acceuil de 24 personnes, de l'équipement de la cuisine au nombre d'assiettes et de chaises. Il y a largement la place pour s'isoler et de ne pas rester les uns sur les autres 24h 24h. Le proprietaire est trés discret mais cependant toujours disponible pour ses clients. Nous avons reçu un acceuil très chalereux dans cette location au calme et dans un ecrin de verdure propice à la detente! A conseiller aux amateurs de nature et des cadres boisés qui ne veulent néanmois pas renoncer à un confort certain, à des installations élégantes et profiter d'un sejour detente! C'est la premiere fois que je poste une appreciation mais là j'ai étais vraiment trés agréablement surprise et je souhaite partager une bonne adresse avec ceux qui sont comme moi un peu dubitatifs concernant la veracité des appréciations qu'on peut lire sur ce genre de site surtout s'il sont élogieuses...

Après un accueil par un propriétaire jeune et très sympathique, nous avons saisi l’environnement calme et reposant dans lequel est située cette superbe longère. Nous sommes entrés et avons découvert un magnifique mélange entre ancien valorisé et moderne stylisé. Le résultat, entièrement imaginé par le propriétaire, est stupéfiant. De quoi jalouser certaines émissions de déco !! Aucune pièce n’est oubliée, tout y est beau, convivial et chaleureux. Une mention particulière pour les salles de bain. Si vous êtes un groupe de jeunes adultes, comme nous, ou une grande famille qui aime se retrouver, cette grande maison est parfaite. Tout est pensé pour un confort optimal et ne pas se déranger les uns les autres. Chose essentielle mais souvent rare : les équipements de cuisine sont aussi prévus pour préparer des grands festins ! Également apprécié : l’équipement hi-fi. En bref, cette maison est aussi super que son propriétaire ! Notre avons un seul conseil à vous donner: RÉSERVEZ !
