The cottage was large enough for my family but also very cosy. The ducted aircon and slow combustion fire kept us warm the entire stay. We loved the outlook from the kitchen and my granddaughter enjoyed playing with our poodles in the huge backyard. Kangaroos and close proximity to rhododendron gardens was great.

Responded well to requests very clean and comfortable.

We were disappointed with the description and communication about the property.
Gas bottles run out and no instruction on how to deal with this. (Emergency phone number was not easy to locate).
No pre-warning you have to buy your own wood for the fires.
Heating system randomly turns down to 11 degrees, blows cold air and house becomes cold quickly.
Birds nest in the tress over the driveway at night and leave an excessive amount of poop on cars.
Best part about the place was the wildlife. Kangaroos and friendly Kookaburras.

Overall a very pleasant weekend. Perhaps the neighbours maybe asked to keep their music down...as its so very quite there - their music was heard in the cottage and some of the guests would have preferred not to hear it. It was terribly loud but loud enough to be heard inside the cottage.

Would book direct next time with Blue Mountains Escapes
House was perfect for 8 people
Plenty of mountain biking (There is a lot of single track mountain bike trails that have been created by local mountain bikers) and walking without having to drive anywhere
We did see the gray kangaroos twice. One had a joey in her pouch
Blue Mountains Escapes were most helpful when I added a day to our stay
With Airbnb I could not add the day only cancel the whole thing and start again
Most unhelpful
Rang Blue Mountains Escapes and they sorted it out for me
Would book direct next time and not bother with Airbnb

We all had a wonderful stay at Carawatha
The house was amazing and we all had a wonderful stay at Carawatha on the Blue Mountains. We especially loved the location of the house which was right at the trailhead to hanging rock which had been on our bucket list for a while (we didn't realise when we booked it was so close)
The heating in the house was amazing and we loved all the extras like the games, DVDs and Netflix. Can't wait to come and stay again and will book directly through blue mountains escapes.
Thank you to your team for all their patience and assistance

We loved our stay at Carawatha! The house is clean and well equipped in a beautiful bush setting. Some gorgeous walking trails just down the road. Visits from the kangaroos each night added to a very enjoyable experience.

Great Location
This is a class act. Well presented with everything needed to have a enjoyable stay. A short way from Blackheath but secluded enough to feel that you are in the bush. The accommodation is in excellent condition and has been recently refurbished. The dogs loved running in the backyard. There are no fences so you just need to supervise any dog if outside. Highly recommended and would stay again.
