About this cottage rental

This is a clean, quiet, sunny, sweet, little cottage tucked into a quiet alley in the Friendly Area Neighborhood on College Hill, only a mile from downtown and the University of Oregon. If you like walking, it's easy to get most places on foot, yet it is privately situated behind another property we own and accessible via a quiet alley. Parking is private, off-street and very close.

In the summer, there is an air conditioner to keep the temperature comfortable. In the winter you can sit in front of the gas fireplace and watch movies curled up under one of the throws. There is a love seat, an armchair and a rocking chair to relax in.

The living room, kitchen and dining area have an open floor plan. There are doors to the bedroom and bathroom. Our remodeled vintage cottage features the original exposed brick chimney and fir floors from the 1940s, which give it a nice warm glow. It is full of windows and skylights. There are updated tile floors in the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen has a gas stove to cook on and is stocked with quality pots and pans and a Keurig coffee maker with coffee provided. There are fresh herbs growing just outside the front door for you to snip! There is a 27" smart TV and high speed internet with which you can enjoy TV shows and movies through your Netflix, Hulu or other entertainment accounts. There is also an HDMI cable so you can connect your device directly to the TV.

Just outside the windows of the main living area there is a little brick patio, garden beds and a rose arbor. It is a lovely place in the warmer months to enjoy a cup of coffee and a good book, sip a glass of wine with a friend or enjoy a full meal. The maple tree gives you nice shade in the summer and beautiful foliage in the fall.

Our downtown is bustling with casual to upscale cafes, restaurants, brew pubs unique food booths, shops and theaters. I am happy to offer suggestions if you let me know what you're looking for!

I live next door so I am readily available to respond to any issues that arise. I enjoy meeting new people and sharing insider information about our lovely town if it is desired, but level of interaction is totally up each guest. The cottage has a keyless entry and is set up for self check-in.

We have rented several homes over the years that our daughter was at UO and this was by far our favorite! Great for a couple. Beautiful peaceful cottage in an alley with a great garden, comfortable bed and everything we needed!

We had a great time at this garden cottage! It's a beautiful, quiet location, central to everything and easy to access. Everything was exactly as described and the kitchen was really well supplied if you want to make something during your stay! Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage. It feels like a thoughtfully planned home rather than a quickly put together rental. It was a real treat to have a genuinely comfortable couch, chairs and bed, which is no small feat these days with our 70+ year-old bodies. The kitchen had all we needed and more with morning coffee on the patio as an added bonus!! Jenni is a wonderfully accessible and informative host. She gave us lots of recommendations for places to eat and things to do in Eugene.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Eugene. The cottage was perfect with plenty of living space. It was very clean and had all the amenities you will need. The neighborhood was really nice for talking walks with Washington Park one block away. Grocery store is close by. Jenny kept in touch, checking in to see if we needed anything at all. We appreciated that very much. We highly recommend the cottage will certainly stay again.

If you like clean, cozy, comfortable and quiet, then you will love this tastefully decorated cottage in a great location. Host Jennifer was quick to respond and so accommodating. The kitchen was well stocked; we enjoyed fresh coffee and several varieties of teas. Comfortable bed, super clean and in walking distance of many restaurants, markets and brewpubs. Would definitely stay here again!

Jennie’s place is the best! So cozy, and tastefully decorated. Overall great vibes! Jennie also anticipates her guests needs. Not only was the kitchen well stocked with supplies, including coffee, tea, cloth napkins, lovely plates and cups, but she even had a brand new toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss in the cabinet for the forgetful traveler! 😁I remembered my brush and paste, but totally forgot my floss and was delighted to find some. I will be back! Highly recommend.

We stayed here for a couple of days in January, and from the fresh tulips on the kitchen window sill to the fluffy robes in the closet and guest slippers by the door, every need was thought of and addressed. There was even an excellent ground decaf ready for the French press. The cottage was as quiet as advertised. We were able to sleep comfortably with the windows open even though we were so close to downtown. Highly recommend this cottage.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cozy, comfortable, quiet, and spotlessly clean cottage. Our host, Jennie, was kind, helpful and genuinely interested in making sure we had everything we needed. I want to especially make note of the water filtration system in the kitchen sink. Eugene has great water but it can have a chlorine taste. This filtered tap made buying bottled water unnecessary. Excellent location, close to everything. Great experience!

This is my second stay here and always my first choice when looking for accommodation in Eugene. Jennifer provides many little details to make the stayer feel comfortable. Nice herbal teas , coffee a few seltzers. She even had some ribbon and wrapping tissue there and I needed it… iIt is a good location and provides off street parking. Thank you!

I always enjoy my stay College Hill Cottage. Jennifer is a wonderful host who always ensures I have everything I need during my stay. The cottage is very spacious, quiet and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The location is convenient to stores, but located in a beautiful neighborhood. One of my go to places when staying in Eugene!

We stayed here for the Eugene Marathon. This was a comfortable place to rest before and after the race. We enjoyed how centrally located the home is and were able to get around town on foot with the occasional Uber ride. Jennie is a fantastic host and made sure we had everything we needed!
