Set midst secluded stunning Welsh scenery, Tymawr makes for a perfect family gathering.
On arrival helpful and friendly Hilary will be there to warmly greet you and explain where everything is and how things work in this splendidly spacious country house which hosts up to 15 people and two dogs with ease.
Tymawr offers a warm, welcoming vibe with old world grand charm which encourages visitors to enjoy their downtime with loved ones, whether it be wandering around the inviting grounds, sprawling on a sink-into sofa before the log fire or letting the hours fly with a chill and chat around the expansive dining table.
For those lucky enough to stay for a longer holiday, there is so much to enjoy in the super surrounding countryside and coastal location.
Our family get-together for a special birthday was a wonderful weekend for all, from the two-year-old toddler to the 70th birthday celebrant and everyone else in-between.
Tymawr proved a perfect place for this special family occasion. We hope to be lucky enough to return....

Four families with seven children plus dogs over new year. The house was perfect for us because it is big, lots of living spaces, enough bedrooms and beautiful outdoor space! It is homely and comfortable, with everything we needed in the kitchen.
It isn’t pristine, modern or spotlessly clean, it’s a bit tired, has its quirks and some things don’t work but that was perfect for us as we felt able to relax about the kids and dogs.
Gorgeous area, with walks, waterfalls, trains and pubs all enjoyed. The field was especially great to have for the dogs, and kids for the one hour when it didn’t rain!

A large house. Weather was not good so we spent more time in the house than we planned for but when we went beaches in the area were good and well monitored by lifeguards. Lovely countryside with mountains and waterfalls. Had friends to visit and had a wonderful time. Must be a bit cold in the winter with the big windows. House had a well used but friendly feel. Thank you Harriet for all the help and local advice .

The house is situated in a great location with good views & big garden for the kids to play in, also a great base from which to explore.
There is a well equipped kitchen although quite small, the rest of the house is large and spacious.
We were by & large comfortable though many of the curtains did not fit or work well as were some of the windows.
Whatever those shortcomings, we had a wonderful weeks stay.

It's a spacious house with plenty of charm. We were there for five days over New Years and enjoyed our stay very much. We were four families with children of all ages, and they did run around outside as the garden is spacious and secure.
There is a very well equipped kitchen, so cooking for 14 was easy. There is plenty of space for dining, board games, socialising and the views for the surrounding countryside are amazing.
The bedrooms are big, beds are comfortable and the whole house was clean and tidy. Bathrooms are limited and slightly old fashion, but that did not impact our stay at all. We hope to be back soon.

The property was everything we expected and more, it is an old Victorian property and the grounds were great for the dogs with us. All the bedroom were lovely and the character of the house was fantastic. The surrounding countryside was beautiful and also the town of Tywyn was a short walk away. The beach was stunning and with very few around there was no rush to get down there. Everyone who we dealt with involving the property were brilliant from Robin to Hilary who welcomed us and showed us around and Sarah for looking forward to next year.
Will be organizing to go back as soon as possible, hoping everyone involved in the property has a great rest of the year.

7 of us playing in a tournament at Aberdovey Golf Club. I found this wonderful property available for our dates in nearby Tywyn. We had a spacious bedroom each and excellent and atmospheric and comfortable sitting rooms. We dined out at two excellent restaurants on 2 nights, I cooked and we enjoyed the fabulous dining room for the other night. Excellent property for a group or family gathering

During my stay in Tywyn house for three days I must say that I along with my other accompaniments enjoyed our time throughly, we found the house clean and tidy and we were warmly welcomed by the care takers. It had all the facilities which met our needs and the house is in a fabulous location with a great looking view. And thank you for your hospitality.

My family had an amazing time staying at Tymawr in Tywyn, Wales. The house was perfect for our large extended family. The dining room table was great as all of us could gather for nightly meals. The front lawn was perfect for badminton, volleyball, and wiffleball. The town and the beach were both in walking distance. We were able to take advantage of the wonderful activities in the surrounding area as well including: golf, walking in the hills, riding the narrow guage railway up the mountain, visits to castles and castle ruins, sailing, pony trekking....the list is endless. I would highly recommend a family holiday in Wales at Tymawr.
