We re directly across the road from a rail trail walking track popular with the locals; and a short drive to Wombat and Macedon State forests for bush walking, trail running and mountain biking.
Northfield is only 500m from the Woodend Railway Station (the Vline train will get you to the middle of Melbourne in just over an hour), and has a Flexiride stop just up the road (at the intersection of Quarry Rd. and Reidwell Cres.).
