Kathryn's cottage is located in the small rural town of Fishguard in the stunning Pembrokeshire national coastal park.
There is a picturesque fishing harbour at the bottom of the road and the stunning coastal path is within five minutes walk.
Some of the best beaches the UK has to offer are within a short drive.
Fishguard itself has many amenities such as supermarkets , butchers , greengrocers , art galleries , cafes , delicatessen , fish & chip shop, pubs, eateries, small cinema , swimming pool and fitness centre.
Be sure not to miss the weekly farmers market in the Town Hall every Thursday where the freshest local produce can be found.
Also highly recommended is the Gourmet Pig deli just across the road from the Cottage , a lovely place for a light lunch and a morning coffee.
There is a great Fish&Chip take away also very close by.
Pembrokeshire is rich is local history and a visit to St davids just along the coast is a must to see the historic cathedral.
Our favourite beaches are Newport to the north and Newgale to the south both affording stunning stretches of flat golden sand.
The Cottage is fully equipped to make your stay comfortable and really is a home from home.
For our guests we provide comfy beds , fully equipped kitchen with fridge , freezer , washing machine , gas hob and electric oven , microwave , flat screen TV in the lounge with Sky Q TV.
We have a separate dining area between the lounge and kitchen.
The cottage has two small gardens front and back a quiet space to enjoy the evening sun.
The master bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom which is also spacious has two single beds.
Parking is free on the street outside the cottage.
Kathryn's Cottage is in a great location just moments away from the stunning coast shown in our photos but also in a central position in Fishguard so that our guests can walk easily to all the amenities.
The market square , pubs , supermarkets ,coffee shops , deli , butchers and greengrocers etc are within a stones throw of the cottage.

Lovely cottage but the garden isnt secure there are gaps for the dogs to get out and they are also able to get to the front of the cottage.

The house is situated right in the middle of the little village. Parking space is provided, but you can really do a lot on foot. The house itself is spaceous and still cosy. The kitchen is huge and there are even some places to sit outside, so you can actually move the furniture and catch a sunny spot. Kathryn is great, she is helpfull and kind.

The property is in a lovely location very close to all amenities
Only negative was due to no dishwasher that some of the plates, utensils had been left not fully cleaned

Good sized property and some lovely walks from the door. Fishguard has everything you need, Co-op very useful. Property lacked some of those things which make a home from home. Beware of the water pressure, especially with the shower and a welcome pack would have been nice.

Clean and bright
A lovely cottage for a family break. The 2 bedrooms were generously sized and the kitchen was lovely and spacious with plenty of cupboard space and equipment. We appreciated the access to Netflix and Sky for family evenings after full days exploring the coastal paths and villages.

Old cottage in lovely location
Cottage very old and located minutes away from the coastal path. some of the windows and doors were in urgent need of attention and the mattress on the double bed needs replacing.on the plus side the kitchen is well equipped and a nice size. the adjoining cottage has a dog which tends to bark at anytime of day or night.

Lovely stay, great communication and recommendations, beach at the bottom of the road and easiest access to town.

Pleasant cottage
Found the cottage comfortable but rather dark. The lighting needs updating and better bedside lights so it’s possible to read in bed. Front bedroom window really needs to be able to open. Lot of barking from next door’s dog that never seemed to be let out.
A visitor’s book with suggestions would be a good addition.
A garden table and chairs would be nice.
Otherwise a pleasant place to stay.

Very much enjoyed our stay. The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed. Location was excellent - we hiked twice from the from the front door, and had short drives to very pretty parts of the coast path on other days. The view of the old harbour in the picture is literally 5 mins from the door. Great fish and chips up the road and Mannings good for lunch. Would visit again.

Perfect stay
Lovely cottage in a very good location to walk to all of Fishguards pubs / restaurants / cafes.
Great communication from host.
Lovely enclosed garden for the dog to run around.
Comfy beds but only feedback would be better/more pillows as the current ones are very thin!
Would definitely stay here again

Lovely Harbour and beaches nearby.
Perfect location , so close to the gorgeous harbour and coast path. Lovely cottage - cosy and comfortable, just right for a small family. Recommend this quiet location - stunning beaches at Whitesands , Newgale , etc and coves near to Dinas Cross ( lovely walk around here also) , surfing and bodyboarding fun had by all.
Communication was excellent. Thank you for a lovely stay ( and thanks to the kind cleaner please and Kathryn - when we had to return after our departure ..!)

Fantastic stay
We had a fantastic week here. The cottage was a dream, exceptionally clean and well equipped. Great location - shops, pubs, fish n chips close by, short walk to harbour & beautiful coastal walks just down the road. Kathryn was quick to respond to all my questions beforehand. Our 2 girls & 2 dogs had a great time! We would definitely be happy to stay here again!

We so enjoyed staying in this cottage. It is well-sized and would certainly be suitable for a family although there were only the two of us so we could spread out. Spotlessly clean and well-presented. Good quality bed linen. Well-equipped kitchen but no dish-washer. Nice lounge with comfy chairs and sofas. No Sky channels but otherwise usual TV channels. DVD. Garden great for catching the sun back and front. Took under 10 mins to walk to the harbour.Lower Town is just charming and totally unspoilt-a great location for a quiet holiday and great walking. All in all it was a lovely holiday and we would recommend Kathryns cottage.

Fishguard stay
We enjoyed the location which was great for exploring the Pembrokeshire, and also the sunny outside space to the rear of the cottage. Compared to cottages we've stayed in recently, this cottage wasn't presented to quite the same standard. For instance; the windows to the front were painted shut, so we couldn't open them to let the fresh air and the weather was hot! Towels, a hairdryer, and spare loo rolls would be considered as standard by us these days. There was no note of welcome, no welcome pack of any sort and arriving shortly after check in time, the cottage change over was still being completed. We did enjoy our stay but felt the cottage overall and guest welcome were 'tired'. We would also advise that as well as the staircase to the upper floor, there are steps between each room on both floors, so wouldn't recommend this cottage for anyone with small children or anyone with balance/mobility issues.

Charming little cottage - well kept.however I contacted owner to confirm that all I needed to bring was bath towels but found to my horror there was no Tea towel provided or kitchen towel. The cottage needs towel rails in kitchen and bathroomEgg cups would have been usefulA lavatory brush is an essential and not provided. There was no way to contact anyone if we had locked ourselves out of the property and had left our mobile phone in the cottage.Smoke alarm fell down while we were there and no one to tellotherwise all good

Beautiful cottage, superb location
We had a lovely week staying in Kathryn's Cottage. It is spacious, comfortable, extremely well equipped and delightfully furnished. Its also in a great location with the amenities of Fishguard very close by (including an award-wining fish & chip shop opposite and Peppers, a superb restaurant in the West Wales Art Centre, almost next door) and only a short walk from the pretty harbour of Lower Town. We used it as a base for long walks along the stunning coastline and for surfing trips to Newgales beach. Wifi would be handy but otherwise thoroughly recommend.

Great location
The cottage is perfectly located for the town and lower town harbour. Cottage was comfortable with a sheltered garden.
Although there is no WIFI we managed to get internet access from a hot spot.

Great location
Homely well proportioned cottage, on several levels so lots of steps inside and out. Local to some lovely places to eat and shop and easy access to food shops. Short walk to the harbours of Fishguard and Goodwick where there is a pretty beach.

Gemütliches Haus in super Lage

COZY AND ROMANTIC GET AWAY
We have spent one week at Kathryn's cottage in Fishguard.
It was love at first sight before we crossed the treshold!
The cottage has the cozy atmosphere of a rural dwelling, yet was fitted perfectly with everything one might need, incl. a huge refrigerator which you don't always find in rental flats. Kitchen was airy, sunny and fully equipped with every necessary tool, pan and cutlery. Bedrooms were furnished with a real sea village style, the decor was just lovely everywhere you looked to make guests feel in a welcoming and warm environment. A lovely stay alltogether! thank you Kathryn!

Lovely cottage, great location
Lovely cottage , very cosy yet spacious rooms , beds very comfortable so we had a lovely restful stay, all mod cons except bring your own Prosecco flutes as there aren’t any! The cottage is in a great location for the village amenities, we enjoyed eating out and found everything we needed close by.
There is a lovely little fishing port at the bottom of the road and stunning coastal walks started within a very short stroll.
The local beaches are to die for , this place is a real hidden gem , like Cornwall was before it became too busy! We will definitely be back , thanks Katherine.

Clean, warm and comfortable.
The property was very convenient for accessing local amenities and walks around Fishguard Harbour on foot. The rooms were a good size, especially the bedrooms. There was plenty of room for parking on the road. I would certainly consider staying at this property again on revisiting the area.

Good size, great location but rather unloved
The house is in the heart of the town and is round the corner from local amenities. You can walk down the hill to the lower town harbour in a few minutes. The living space is generous with big bedrooms. The heating was really good. The house wasn't very clean compared to other holiday lets in the same price range. Similarly, the kitchen and bathroom were looking rather tired and dated. The back garden needed weeding / general maintenance and not suitable for children to play in. The street parking is ok but very steep - You'll need to practise reverse hill starts! While there is no wifi, there is Sky TV and decent mobile internet signal on EE.
