Charming and roomy in a great neighborhood. Everything was above our expectations and a convenient location for catching the tram to downtown Bordeaux.(If you're flying in from the Bordeaux airport its convenient to take the A tram to the Hopital Pellegrin stop) We had 33 C + (90 F) temperatures and the place still stayed comfortable. Brigitte was a wonderful host!

this property is in a quiet neighbourhood with excellent tram links to the centre of Bordeaux and the airport , Brigitte was very helpful and met us at the tram stop which is less than a 5 minute walk away, we found that the property is well described on the website...
we had an enjoyable stay and would recommend it

This is a truly lovely place to stay. The house is delightful, furnished and decorated in the French style. It is very comfortable and had everything we needed for out stay. We had hot weather for our visit and it was very welcome to escape to a naturally cool house. Location is another plus: this is a pleasant area and convenient for exploring the city centre by tram.
We received a very warm welcome from Brigitte who took some time to tell us about the house, and also about the best areas to explore. She remained in contact with us throughout and we thank her most warmly for her hospitality. We recommend her charming house without reservation.

We had a fabulous stay at Brigitte's lovely house. Very comfortable for four adults.
Conveniently situated for the airport and great that there was a garage for our hire car.
The local area has a couple of small supermarkets, a deli and a boulangerie that had everything we needed.
The local restaurants were closed unfortunately for annual holidays (congés) during the week we visited, but there were so many to choose from in Bordeaux centre and the tram into the city is very convenient.
We visited in mid August and it was a bit hot for us towards the end of the week at 35 degrees! Still, we loved our stay and would return. Thank you so much Brigitte

The hostesses was absolutely fantastic! The house was lovely and the garden was beautiful! The house was very comfortable, clean and everything that was needed to cook and wash clothes was provided! We appreciated her attentiveness to details, even the nice orchids! The location was very convenient to the Tram.
Overall, superb place to stay.
Merci Bridgette! We will come back, no hesitation!

We had a wonderful stay at this rental home in Bordeaux. The location was fantastic, close to a tram with only a 15-20 minute ride to centre of Bordeaux. The home was well stocked with all the amenities, communication with the owner was excellent, she provided many extras including English books on attractions in the area.
The home was even better than the pictures revealed on the website. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely stay in BORDEAUX
The host, Bridgette is terrific. She met us at the property, gave us a thorough explanation of her home, the appliances and the neighborhood. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. It is about 1.7km from the city center which necessitates a tram ride to the city from the stop that is close to the house. You should know that there are very few taxis or Ubers around Bordeaux so public transportation (bus or tram is a must). The only downside of the property is that it is not air conditioned. Otherwise it is a lovely, well equipped residence with the best host that we have encountered on our trip so far.

Privacy plus
Lovely setting. Eclectic furnishings give the house a unique feel. Well stocked kitchen for pots and utensils but a few basics such as olive oil and vinegar would be nice.
Hostess was most gracious and helpful. The bottles of wine she left us were most appreciated. The garage was a definite plus.
very handy to tram system. Bathroom was well equipped and shower was enormous.

Home away from home
The property was everything that it appeared to be from the photographs posted online. The local area around St Augustin was quiet with a small village feel about it. There were some local shops within a 5 minute walk, including a boulangerie.
The house provided us with all the space required for a couple, good beds, a great bathroom with ample shower space. The kitchen was big enough for what is needed on holiday. We sat in the garden for breakfast each day, enjoying the early autumn sunshine.
The Bordeaux tram system ‘A’ service is a five minute walk and takes you into the centre of the city in about 10 minutes, once in town there are so many things to see and do with restaurants and brasseries on every corner.
While in the area, we also visited Arcachon, Entre deux Mers and St Emilion, this let us get a good feel for the surrounding countryside, great food and fine wines.
Brigitte was a great host, meeting us on our arrival and coming back to the house before we left, she has a myriad of information, books and paperwork relating to Bordeaux and surrounds.
I think Brigitte and my wife enjoyed being able to speak French to each other, as I struggled to understand with my schoolboy standard.
All in all, a great place to stay and a fantastic town to visit.

Brigitte was a fantastic host and everything was exactly as advertised. A very cool stone cottage with everything you need for a longer stay. Right on the tram line and 15 min to town. Shops just down the road for fruit and veg, groceries, bread etc. Highly recommended.

Perfect base for exploring Bordeaux
My wife and I had a great week at Brigitte's house, and were able to lock the car away in the garage without a second thought for the week.
The house is well equipped and so convenient for the Hotel Pelligren tram stop, which makes getting into Bordeaux, even just for an evening meal, so easy.
On one day, we just stayed at the house, eating locally, as there are a few god restaurants nearby, in particular, Restaurant Beaubourg at the bottom of the road. There are 3 bakeries to choose from, an excellent deli, a well stocked, small supermarket and even a Chinese nearby (which was very good quality).
Highly recommended, especially if you have a car, as I wouldn't want to drive in Bordeaux at peak time too often. Thanks for a great week, Brigitte.

Delightful Stay
We were met at the property by the very pleasant owner, Brigette. She proudly showed us her home which on the off season is her home. The house is very comfortable with a complete modern kitchen, an A-1 shower and jetted tub and a comfy bed. Our stay was for 2 weeks. We became well acquainted with the neighbourhood which has shops for food, restaurants, pharmacy. A highlight for us was a local fundraiser for Christmas lights where we joined the neighbourhood for a dinner of oysters or sausage and listened to an excellent live band. We did walk once into Bordeaux but commonly used the trams as transport. The station is a short walk from the house and is convenient for accessing all area of Bordeaux. The house has a garage which is a big advantage as parking space is scarce. We used the car to travel outside the city to San Emilion, Le Medoc and Arcachon. After a day of travels it was always a pleasure to return to our comfortable "home".

Eating breakfast on the patio is a lovely treat
We enjoyed our stay in Brigitte’s charming house. The property is only a quick tram journey to rue saint Catherine and the river side. All amenities provided such as crockery and cutlery, a large refrigerator and the all important cork screw. Eating breakfast in the morning on the patio was so enjoyable and relaxing. A real treat and I would definitely rent the property again.

Fabulous House and location and amenities
Brigitte's house is a wonderful place to stay in Bordeaux. Quiet location, the garage is essential in the area and is small but fitted our 2008 Peugeot perfectly. The house has absolutely everything you need to be comfortable, fabulous kitchen, flat access for luggage and excellent bed. I'v got a nasty back, which gets grumpy if the bed is soggy. This bed was perfect. The light rail line A is easy walking distance and gets you to the heart of the city quickly. The little village/suburb has two boulangeries which is nice to have a choice and is in easy walking distance. We'll definitely stay here again when we return to Bordeaux in the future.

Lovely warm home
Brigitte is a wonderful host. Her home is warm and nicely decorated. We felt like we were in our own home. The neighborhood is very nice and the shops are within easy walking distance as is the tram. The addition of the garage makes it an ideal stay for a trip to Bordeaux. If you are renting a car get a smaller one, because the garage is tight. Altogether, a wonderful stay. When I come back to Bordeaux, I will rent it again if it is available.

Comfortable accomodation within a tramride from Bordeaux sites
This was a very comfortable house for our stay in Bordeaux. There is no air conditioning, but we did not expect any and, following Brigitte's instructions regarding keeping windows open at night and after sundown, the house remained comfortable. We really enjoyed the front yard and generally took our breakfast and dinners there. The house is only about 2 blocks from the nearest tram stop into downtown Bordeaux. Also, there is a nice little community a few blocks up the street with grocer, bakery, vegetable and fruit market among other stores.
Overall, I would have to say this was a great experience and Brigitte was very easy to work with.

Small house oozing charm
Nicely furnished, comfortable and welcoming. Brigitte was a great hostess, spending time with us until she was confident we understood everything. Loved the walled garden with its palm trees. Had breakfast out there daily and most dinners. While not in Bordeaux center it was a short walk to the tram and just a few minutes to the center. Would stay there again.

Lovely home in a quiet neighborhood, easy to get everywhere
We had a very pleasant stay in this home. The garden was especially appreciated in the unexpected heat; it’s delightfully shady in the afternoon. The tram, which is just a short walk away, gave us easy access to the center of town. (The 7-day Tickarte, which gives you unlimited rides on the tram, bus, and water taxi, is a great deal at €13.40.)
There were plenty of supplies left for us, including cooking essentials, and the linens and towels were very good quality. We had an issue with internet access and television; our hostess went out of her way to fix it quickly. Not only did she give us a welcome gift of Bordeaux wine and canelés, she also gave us a bottle of champagne for our troubles with the internet/tv.
There is some road noise in the front of the house during the day when the windows are open, but the bedrooms are quiet. The St Augustin neighborhood has everything you need for a great stay.

Lovely house and a great location
Brigitte's house in the delightful, village-like quarter of St Augustin was a prefect base for our few days in Bordeaux. It really is a comfortable home from home with excellent facilities, strong Wi-Fi, good cable TV and an all-important and invaluable garage. There are nice shops, tabac, boulangerie, boucherie, small supermarket and a good wine shop, all within five minutes walk. The front garden is a cool and pleasant place to relax after a day out.
It is a two minute walk to the nearest tram stop which gets you into the centre of Bordeaux in ten minutes. An easy drive also to the peripherique if you want to explore the area around Bordeaux.
Brigitte is a thoughtful and efficient host and the whole booking and paying system worked very well. Unhesitatingly five stars.

Enjoyed the area and especially the house
We loved our stay over Easter. The weather was fantastic most days and we enjoyed the garden, eating our breakfast in the sun. The area is nice with a short walk to shops and restaurants and to the tram, with a 20 minute ride to the center of Bordeaux. The house is lovely, with everything we needed. We had a car during our stay to do some outings (Saint Emilion, for example) so the garage was great. Merci Brigitte for your warm welcome and great hospitality!

Excellent house all you need for a lovely holiday
Perfectly located, with easy access to tram and busses, the weather was unkind when we stayed but we had a home from home in this house. Brigitte was very helpful there if we needed her. Bordeaux is a lovely city we will return.

Everything You Could Wish!
We were looking for an authentic French home, while exploring Bordeaux, and the surrounding villages and towns. This is the owner's beautiful French *home* which she rents part of the year. Even though it is centrally located in Bordeaux, it is totally private, complete with a single car garage, lush courtyard, and a patio for outdoor dining. This was especially wonderful for morning breakfast! Never underestimate the importance of the garage. It was so nice to have a guaranteed parking place at the end of the day.
This residence is within walking distance of restaurants, bakeries, markets, wine and cheese shops, and pharmacies.
The home is just as the pictures depict. It is beautifully decorated with amazing attention to detail. The kitchen is very well equipped, the beds are very comfortable, and it has a great shower / jacuzzi tub. It also has a small office, complete with excellent Wi Fi, and a tv with multi language channels.
The owner could not have been more warm and welcoming! She also speaks English, which made the transition very easy. She even calls to make sure the stay is going well, with no problems. If we were ever in Bordeaux again, we would most certainly return.

Cozy, comfortable, and convenient.
We had a lovely stay. It is very private and quiet for a place in the city. It was a short walk to the tram, as well as places to buy basic groceries and a boulangerie. The tram ride isn't overly long to get to the heart of the city sights and it is clean and easy to negotiate. The property is very clean. And Brigitte was a pleasure to deal with.

a lovely house in a peacefull suburb of Bordeaux
We stayed in this French villa in the St Augustine area of Bordeaux. Its a very practical location for travelling into the centre of Bordeaux, it has a garage which is very useful. we had a car for longer journeys but found the trams very handy and cheap. The Villa is well appointed with a front garden which we used for meals almost every day. The Villa has two bedrooms and a small but good well equipped kitchen. Overall this was a brilliant week in the Bordeaux region helped by a very comfortable base. many thanks to the owner for making our visit pleasurable.

'Lovely home in excellent location"
This was our first time in bordeaux and we picked the perfect home away from home, We rented a car in Barcelona and droive to Bordeaux. The owner, Brigitte met us at the property when we arrived and showed us around. She is a lovely, helpful woman and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her. The house was perfect for our needs, fully equipped. It is every bit as charming as it looks in the pictures, we loved being in our own private retreat. There is a wonderful local restaurant right down the street that we ate at the first night and one other night. The owner was very nice, spoke excellent English and gave us some good tips on wineries etc. The tram was a short walk from the house and we took it quite a few times into the city of Bordeaux. We drove to the wineries on both the left and right banks. We had tours at two of them during the harvest and got to see the whole process from hand picking to hand sorting, it was fascinating. We checked out some recommendations for good restaurants in the area and they were excellent. We had WiFi at the house which was a huge help. We advise that you use a GPS to drive anywhere in the area, it really helped us find our way around and always got us back to our lovely welcoming home with our own gararge which was important. We would definitely recommend this property to friends or relatives, it was and Brigitte is great.
