About this house rental
Recently renovated, this unit we call Old West Lake provides a relaxing retreat on Lake Montauk. Old West Lake comes equipped with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, linens, towels, large screen TVs, air conditioning throughout bedroom and living room area, access to private lake beach as well as kayaks and paddle boards to enjoy a summer on the water! Dine outside on outdoor deck space or in lighted dining area complete with gas grill and seating. Guests can enjoy a common seating area with Adirondacks and lounge chairs and a fire pit near the lake. Old West Lake is one of four units on this property at 71 East Lake Drive.
Pets and smoking are not allowed.
Please note that this unit has a grass path from the parking spot to the unit. There are three steps up to the deck.

Staying at Kelly’s lakefront property in Montauk was truly a healing experience. From the moment we arrived, the serene surroundings washed away the stress of daily life. The house was spotless and beautifully maintained, with every amenity thoughtfully provided. Whether sipping coffee on the deck in the mornings or winding down with a book as the sun set, the peace and tranquility here are unparalleled. Kelly thought of everything to make our stay so much more enjoyable and special, that we didn’t even need anything.
Despite feeling like a secluded retreat, the property is just a short drive from town, making it easy to explore Montauk's charming shops and restaurants. This place isn't just a rental—it's a restorative escape that nurtures the soul. We left feeling rejuvenated and can't wait to return.

Everything about this VRBO was perfect for us. The minute we walked in we were impressed. It was very clean and well stocked. It was a perfect location to go to restaurants and the beach. We unfortunately had some rain while there but the porch with the umbrella let us sit outside to relax and read.

Second time staying at this lovely property and as always had a great stay. Beautiful property on the lake with everything you need to make the stay perfect (I especially liked the cookies). Had the pleasure of meeting Rick one of the owners of the property and he couldn't have been nicer. We will be back next year.

The host Kelly was incredibly kind and had a wonderful place for us to stay. She offered insight into things to do in the area and was open for giving recommendations or ideas for things to do. The stay was fantastic and I will definitely be looking to stay here again if I return to Montauk!

Our trip couldn’t have gone any better, thanks to Kelly and the room. Kelly was timely and helpful in every question we had and made our trip seamless. The rooms were well kept, had many amenities, and were evidently taken care of, but our favorite part was the outdoor seating area which overlooks Lake Montauk and provides gorgeous sunsets. Kelly went above and beyond with recommendations of activities and restaurants in town and a little welcome gift. The only drawbacks were the lack of privacy come nighttime (the blinds didn’t conceal the room at night if lights were on inside) and the kayaks were outdated… however, we had an amazing trip thanks to Duffy’s on Lake Montauk.

Old West Lake exceeded our expectations! The unit itself was the most well-appointed VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. The hosts thought of everything you may need or want while staying in your home away from home! From the available beach chairs, kayaks, grill with picnic area and fire pit (complete with fire wood and starters!) over looking Lake Montauk, this place is a little slice of heaven. The unit itself was clean and had many perks as well. We will definitely be back!

The perfect place to have a little “home” by the lake. Peaceful, charming and comfortable. Immaculate inside the unit and throughout the entire property. I grabbed one of the paddle boards and paddled around the lake, then relaxed in a chair by the water. Bed was comfortable and it was so quiet there. Highly recommend!!

Perfect Lake Getaway
This stay was the perfect little lake getaway. It was so quiet and relaxing and just steps away from the water! The host kindly left some kayaks and paddle boards which my husband and I put to good use. The location was also amazing as it was within 5 minutes of beaches, restaurants, and activities. And to top it all off the place was sparkling clean and had everything we needed!- including some cookies to greet us! (Thank you!!!) I would definitely recommend this place and will be back!!!

This property far exceeded my expectations.
The design/decor of our unit was terrific. It looked like we were the first occupants. It was fully stocked with everything one could ever need. Kitchen appliances, cooking utensils, beach towels/chairs, etc. Construction is solid as we didn’t hear a thing through the walls and the unit next to us had two noisy kids who we met outside. Nothing can beat the view of the lake at sunset. We strongly recommend this rental.

The property was a perfect size for a couple. It's pretty close to other attractions, like the lighthouse and hiking trails, but it's also a nice place to stay if you want to stay in and enjoy some quiet time by the lake too! It was the getaway that we needed!

A beautiful getaway for a couple
Overall, My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at the property. The kitchen is fully stocked with absolutely everything you could need. The property is quite spacious and absolutely perfect for a couple; the property is also very strategically located within about 5-10 min driving distance for most of the attractions/restaurants in montauk. Kelly, the property manager had a lot of great recommendations on restaurants and things to do in the area. We stayed in Jan, but we would definitely think about staying here again during the summer season.

Small and quaint
This is the perfect location and place in Montauk- accessible to everything. The unit is small and quaint and was just what we needed. It had every appliance and kitchen tool we could possibly need and it had tasteful decorations and layout too. AC and heat was reliable. Great parking. And the deer in the morning were nice! Would recommend.
