Country feel and comfort combined
Not much

The home was welcoming and very well appointed with comfortable beds and lovely little touches like fresh eggs and a few essential pantry staples. The weather was erratic so we managed to use both the aircon to beat the 35 degree day, and the wood heater to make a 3 degree evening lovely and cozy. We hope to be able to make use of the fabulous deck and fire pit in better weather for our next visit.
Not about the property but would definitely take more dinner food to cook ourselves the next time. We had thought to fully relax and utilise takeaway or restaurants for our whole trip but after spending days on the walking trails the drive into the next township for dinner was unappealing. Would definitely recommend taking full advantage of the full kitchen and bbq.

Note - I stayed with my husband and two kids - one 4.5 and one 10m old.
The cozy cottage feel is really lovely
The view is phenomenal.
Beds were comfy
House stays nice and toasty - the fireplace is great and there's a split system in the lounge room. One oil heater is provided. Electric blankets on the beds.
Everything you need in the kitchen in terms of being able to cook there
Location is brilliant - no roadhouse out front any more though and the bric a brac store is either closed down or just rarely open. Grumpy baker still there and service is a mixed bag, its expensive but it's delicious.
Firewood provided - note one box out the front is allocated per two nights. We thought with 4 boxes that we must have one per night and took for granted we'd have enough for a firepit but then realised that it was one box per two nights instead
- the garden is great though could use a bit of a weed and tidy. They seem to have done some recent work out there. Firepit is awesome
- furnishings are actually nicer than the photographs
- two toilets is always handy. Please note you enter the bathroom into the room with a vanity - to your front us one toilet. Turn right and you have the bathroom (small spa bath which does not work as a spa only as a bath), small corner shower... there is a door off this room with the second toilet.
- The home isn't as clean as I'd hoped and I expected from the exceptional previous rating. There's a lot of webs around, a bit of an infestation of either tiny mozzie or drain flies in the bathroom and for the general areas there isn't a vacuum available to do a mid stay clean. There's lots of dusty areas (skirting boards etc) and it just presents as would benefit from a deep clean. That said, I didn't feel it was dirty per se.... With an almost mobile baby i had hoped to be able to whip around with a vacuum.. For longer stays this could be problematic.
- booking.com indicates an ensuite bathroom which is incorrect (no biggie). Booking.com "near attractions" etc also outdated (not fault of owner or management)
- 1 towel (bath towel not bath sheet) provided per person for a 4 night stay. I was unable to locate spares anywhere... 1 face washer was provided. Apologies if I missed spares and this is unrepresentative.
- entire house is slightly misleading in my view as part of the house isn't included which is totally fine and those parts are not pictured, however also not included is a laundry. Not listed at all or indicated but I had just assumed given it said entire house (laundry us in the garage I understand).
We did really enjoy our stay though for a few factors would likely choose not to stay here again. These comments are purely to inform others of what I wish I knew before we booked :) eg we just would have taken extra towels with us and more clothes without expecting to have been able to wash
- think some things have changed since the old reviews on other sites were posted (I read reviews across many sites before booking)
- the deck whilst awesome does need some work. A piece of decking out the front cracked as we walked on it, and out the back there's many nails and splinters sticking up. No big deal and not unsafe per se just don't go out or let kids out without shoes! :)

Beautifully furnished and neat cottage, wonderful views
The only 2 things where the beds where extremely hard and no washing machine.

The cottage was very comfortable and well appointed. It was well located and with great views. Such a comfortable and welcoming cottage really made our stay.
Originally there wasn't enough firewood for the length of our stay but when contacted the property management company quickly rectified that.

Lots of great amenities

The house is spacious for a family of 3
Duvet in one of the room smells old; the fireplace is smoky; the bed is on the soft side. For over $600 a night, we expected higher standard.

The view from the back porch was amazing. The house was comfortable and in a fantastic spot near the cafe and restaurant. Walking distance to the cider breweries. Loved it

We were after a nice home away from home type get away which is exactly what we got!
The hosts left us with a nice welcome booklet full of handy information about the property and things to do in the area.
The view was beautiful and the house came fully equipped with books, games and seed for the birds which was a nice touch.
I wish we had have booked for longer!
The lounge was not very comfortable
