The hotel was well placed with parking for our motorcycle beside the front entrance. The lobby was extremely well decorated and staff friendly. The room was beautiful, clean amd the bed was comfortable. Resteraunt called 10 y.o beside was good food.
The A/C was not cold enough for a Canadian boy but still was nice.

the room was very spacious. pillows and bed are comfortable.
first of all, they advertised the hotel with WIFI capable but when we arrived in the facility they dont have good connection and sometimes you really cant connect. the room is beside a stock/staff room so if staff are getting their equipment or maybe bystanding you can hear their voices. There is one instance that they want to do housekeeping without asking us, they knock once and we told them we dont want to but instead they open the room and I was awaken because of it. the complimentary breakfast is nothing special and the bar is open and full of flies. price is not cheap and i would say not worth it since it was advertised as there is beach but swim at your own risk.

we were very with our stay. the staff was friendly and accommodating. the room was clean and had everything we needed. breakfast was delicious and the staff gave a separate room for our group of 8. I would definitely recommend the Balar Hotel to others and I would be happy to stay there again!

wifi service was not working during our whole stay

Toilet is ok but the space between is too small, you cannot move or sit properly.
Breakfast is poor. Toasted bread is hard and ham is not fresh. Value for the breakfast is not worth the rate of the hotel. Wifi is not working most of the time.

RestoBar '10 y.o." next door served all meals as part of Balar's services, all of which were most delicious. Beach was clean and swimmable even if rocky. Greenery of Marinduque is astounding!
Longer stay.

A different experience using a bamboo bike, the longganisa is very delicious
There are no more trips going there when u arrive late in the port of Marinduque. U have to take a special trip from the port to the hotel that will cost u a lot.

It’s a modern new hotel with good facilities and close to the beach
I travelled 19 hours from Australia to spend Valentine’s Day at Balar hotel and Spa with my filipino based partner.I have been in a long distance relationship with her for the past 2 years. On arrival we were informed by reception the restaurant was booked out that night for a special event for Valentine’s Day and advised we could go to Boac which is at least a 20 minute trike ride away and bring a meal back to our room.At different times my partner and myself made our disappointment very loud and clear to reception. We had no choice but to hopefully try to find somewhere in Boac to spend the special occasion. With limited time and no knowledge of the area it proved a difficult and very stressful situation .We were very disappointed we weren’t advised by email or at least invited to attend the special event earlier as we were guests of the hotel. The hotel called at 7pm offering us a table but at this late time we had managed to secure seats at another establishment and had already commenced our meal. The next day we had moved on and the staff were very apologetic and offered us compensation in the form of a free meal at their cafe which was very nice and much appreciated.I’m sure a lot has been learned by the staff, from the experience and something like that won’t happen again

The staff and service were awesome.
Clean and comfortable stay.
Their cafe named 10y.o serves not just coffee and pastries but also good meals. Too bad they are not open 24/7.
There is no 24-hr restaurant.
No food in the middle of the night.
No nearby retaurant open so we have to prepare for food ahead of time.
