About this cabin rental
Naples Mountain View Cabin. Lower Cabin info.
Sorry for the formatting folks, but folks use so many editors these days I'm retreating to a common denominator. Text! :-)
There's a fair amount of info here that is all on line, attachments are now no longer allowed so I've put it in one place for folks.

"Town", Naples. 5 miles South on Cty. 36. Grocery, Liquor, Dollar Store, 6 bars, 2 Wineries local.
Best Wine trail: Keuka Lake "Branch Port" South to Hammondsport. There's at LEAST 30 of World Class Wineries with food and such. 10~ miles from town.
First off, WELCOME! I'm pleased to offer reasonable accomodations with incredible views and the Finger Lakes is an amazing area!
The road is county maintained. A two wheel drive is fine in all but the most extreme weather.
As you arrive, your cabin is either the first or second turn before/after the mailbox.
ADULTS ONLY PLEASE. No children.
Internet info is on the fridge. It's DSL but it's the VERY best we can do on the mountain. Best effort please.
Hopefully you're doggy friendly as my Golden Retriever "Max" comes up to say hi. Hes extra friendly, but if he hangs around too long just ask
him to "go home".
He knows where to go. :-)
Note, we're on an artesian well. It's the only water in the area and depending on weather it can be hard. Please plan on bringing your own drinking water
or you may use the Britta filter I provide.
There is a brand new hot tub on the deck 03/01/24. PLEASE be courtious of it's use. No lotions, please do not touch any buttons, do not change any settings.
Thank you for that.
Your cabin will be left open for you as you arrive. Please do provide an approximate ETA in advance as I need to be available for your check in due to new rental requirements.
Check in, 3:00PM Check out, 11:00AM
You must be familiar with operation of a wood stove in the cooler seasons. This stove is as simple as it gets, but this is your sole method for heating the cabin. Please do not touch the
propane heater. It's only intended for the coldest of Winter so pipes don't freeze, the propane is shut off at all other times.
You are WELCOME to source your own firewood! Both for the stove or the firepit on the deck. If you need a load delivered, please let me know well in advance. I am now using the Amish delivery service.
They require 24 hours notice and do not work on Sundays. It's a very reasonable $15. There's a small red coffee container by the wood. Or the grocery store in town has $8 half loads that
are excellent. (The grocery in Naples is honestly the very best place to get dry firewood reasonably in the area, I would encourage it)
Please resist the urge to unplug lights and devices. It drives the cleaning crew crazy. There's lot's of available plugs to use for devices. Thanks for that.
Please turn off lights when not in use. All lights have switches. There's no need to unplug them. (Aside from the deck lights :-)
Please do your dishes as you depart. Garbage and recycling is at the top of your driveway by mailbox as needed.
There's a TON of great things to do in the area!
I have many brochures which have been left for you. Beaches, fishing, hikes, great places to dine, etc.
If you are looking for a quick and easy hike from your door step, head North on Feather from your driveway. It's 1/2 mile~ to a road closed sign. Keep going over the hill.
It's a really nice and reasonably easy trail.
Nearest beach to swim is "Sandy Point", North end of Honeoye Lake.
Best fishing "Canadice Lake", it's STELLAR. Or the trout are great right thru town.
Best Pizza and BBQ is Neopolitans in town.
Best bar/distillery, Hollerhorn. Right in town.
Best State Parks in the general area. Letchworth/Watkins Glen.
Alot has been done to get your rental ready before your stay. Do please do let me know that all is well with your accommodations as you arrive? (Text 786-492-0718) Additionally, please
let me know as you check out so I can let the crew know?
If by chance I am not on the property during your stay, your focal will be "Becky" if needed. She lives 20~ mins away. Her cell is 585-775-9057, she can handle most anything. :-)
I am doing everything possible to keep my rates low. There's no where else in the area with the view/accommodations I provide for the price. I hope you'll enjoy it.
Best wishes and ENJOY YOUR STAY!!!!

Location- GREAT !
Communication with owner - Excellent
Property - Very Nice.
Home - some wear but still very pleasant.
Cost - quite reasonable
Tap Water - absolutely terrible !
After the reservation was made we were advised to bring our own water, which we did, but the water smell was so bad we couldn’t even shower.
Beautiful setting, and the overall experience was quite nice… but the water situation really compromised our visit.

Naples has everything you need to make your stay here fun and easy if you like wine tastings, beer flights and BBQ. Lots of friendly people and conveniences. We had an amazing night in the hot tub with a view of the Milky Way, shooting stars and the Northern Lights. And the views from the deck in the morning were fantastic,

The cabin itself was quiet and mostly private and in a nice location a few miles outside of town. The view is beautiful! The upper house and neighboring houses were closer to the rental cabin we stayed in than we had anticipated but we still had complete privacy. The cabin itself is pretty outdated aside from the kitchen island and some furniture. The deck could really use some upkeep as I caught my toes on nails more than once, the bed and pillows were on the uncomfortable side, and a lot of the doors and doorframes are in rough shape. Lastly, the half door that goes down into the blocked off basement is just plain odd. Overall, for a 2 night stay it was worth the trip for a reasonable price considering the area..

Loved the quiet solitude and beautiful scenery. The constant cacophony of bird songs was amazing. Slept well. Hard to find light switches but owner was easy to communicate with and helped us with that.

This was my first experience with VRBO & it was wonderful. The cozy cabin had so much charm. We had everything we needed and more. The wood stove heats the cabin beautifully. The hot tub was immaculate & so relaxing. We brought our little dogs & they loved exploring the property. Everything is very well cared for. The host placed handy little notes to explain how to use things which was very helpful
He also let us know there would be a meteor shower that would be visible from the hot tub on our last evening. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a fabulous experience!!

Beautiful property, clean cabin, comfortable bed and all the things you need to stay comfortably. John was very easy to communicate with, my only suggestion is bring your own seasoned wood for the wood stove (if it's chilly)

My husband and I, along with our fur baby, had an AMAZING stay! The cabin was very inviting upon arrival. There was a personalized welcome sign outside the door that acknowledged us as guests, firewood was stocked outside for use (if needed), soothing music was already playing and the lights were on but dimmed creating a cozy vibe. The cabin was exceptionally clean and ready for our stay! We enjoyed using the hot tub at our leisure without fussing over any adjustments! Our host, John, was available at any moment yet he gave us our privacy. Words cannot express our satisfaction with this rental. All I can say is….we HIGHLY RECOMMEND! A BIG SHOUT OUT to John and everyone involved that makes this possible for guests! You are greatly appreciated!

Place could be amazing.just needs some paint, a new stove pipe and a good cleaning . I could have made it work if there were sheets on or to put on the bed. Host never responded to my calls or emails.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this location for a week in the beginning of December. The property was clean, homey, and comfortable. The owner John had an issue with the previous renter breaking the hot tub, when we arrived John was finishing up installing a brand new one to hold up to his description of the property. Once he was done he explained that he was close by incase we had any issues, checked in via a simple text message the next morning to make sure we didn’t have any issues and let us enjoy the stay. We look forward to returning to this location to take in more of the beautiful area.

Great cabin for a quiet retreat. In early October the leaves were nearly at their peak. Nice place. We felt super welcome, and appreciate being able to kick back up in the Bristol hills.

Such a shame, (If the reviews let you post pictures) We stayed one night and had to leave. DO NOT make the same mistake we did by booking this place, has great potential to be a beautiful Vrbo. The owner was nice in the beginning. Unfortunately this place is a dump. Dust, mold in shower, nails sticking up out of porch, broken tiles, an old smokey woodstove, (not the only heat source in the house, but the only one youre allowed to use) sulphur water(rotten egg smell) so bad it stinks the whole house up, an open airway to basement that smells as well. The owner hates people from NJ, and will blame you for any discrepancies. ***DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BOOK ELSWHERE!!*** WHAT A DISASTER.

We had a very nice, relaxing New Years weekend. The hot tub is great and we loved the view. Naples is a cute town with great places to hike and wineries nearby.

Second time here and had a great time. Host is very helpful and it’s the perfect spot to get away for a few days. Lots of things to do nearby, if that’s your thing. I stayed in and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Thanks again for keeping it affordable and allowing pets :) See you again sometime

John’s kindness and attention to detail made our stay spectacular. If you want to get away from the whirlwind of city life, come here. If you want to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation, come here. The lower cabin offers a retreat you can’t find anywhere else. You can’t help but unplug, relax and rejuvenate.

My husband and I booked this cabin for our anniversary. It was just what we needed! Such a peaceful cabin but not far from town at all. The owner of the property was accommodating and made sure it was an easy check in process. There were many little touches that made this cabin so homey and welcoming.

Quaint and quiet
From the welcoming music to the hot tub the cabin was an upgrade to our friends primitive bear cabin and we are glad we chose this cabin. We aren’t the wine drinking type so we spent most of the time jet skiing the lakes. Proximity to the western lakes is perfect and the eastern side of Cayuga in the Aurora area is only 1-1/2 hrs. Gotta plug the Fargo restaurant in Aurora and the Middletown Tavern for wings is a must in Naples. Loved the locals at the Middletown tavern and the live music at the FLX music stage in Naples on Tuesday night. This isn’t a stay in a Hilton so if you are looking for that keep moving on. We loved the unexpected visit from Max. Step back, unwind, and chill.

Great view!
John was an excellent host along with his dog Max. It’s a cozy, comfortable cabin and had no issues at all. John was always available when needed and answered any questions we had. He also gave a recommendation for a place called Grimes Glen which was absolutely beautiful. A+ host, location and value. Thanks for a great long wknd!

Nice but Papa Bear size furniture
Lovely spot & property, though screens are aged and had holes needing repair. Great owner, thoughtful, & forewarned renters to bring own drinking water (sulfur in the groundwater). I did, but found the sulfur overpowering, not really wanting to shower in it or use to brush teeth. Also, I'm very short (5') and the furniture was all too big for me. The leather couch I couldn't get OUT of! The dining room chairs too tall. Also the mattress way too soft so it was also hard to get out of! So in spite of the positives, it was a little less comfortable for me.

Beautiful
We had a great time at this property. The view was perfect and we loved waking up to the sound of all the birds in the morning and listening to the frogs at night, we even had a mama deer and fawn come visit us. We really enjoyed the firepit and hot tub. John was very helpful with anything we may have needed
