It was very nice. Will be going back soon.

Our family vacation here was comfortable and fun. The house, property, and location is very nice. Owners seem like friendly folks. There were areas worth noting that need attention, but weren't necessary to report during our stay. The main shower has weak, cracked flooring; one sink drains slowly. Water pressure slowed in the kitchen and baths at times. Small bath had loose toilet seat. LR has loose railing. Coffee pot was missing power button. A functional coffee pot was found in a cabinet. (both were dirty). The kitchen needs a few new dishes. A teflon pot was extremely damaged and rusted inside. The stovetop has an odd, deep vat holding a puddle of murky, old grease and food particles. This not only looks gross, but circulates a heavy, smoky odor while cooking. Fortunately, no bugs were seen. Dining room chair cushions sag deeply with no center support. Other house needs were already mentioned in recent reviews. **The dock light hung loosely and did not work. After a windy thunderstorm, it was gone.
The house is spacious. AC worked great. Beds & bedding was comfy and clean. (There is one flat, firm mattress.) The large, shady yard provided a good place to play badminton. The dock had plenty of room for our canopy, and fishing was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed the large back porch. Watch out for two deep holes in the lower backyard. Overall, we had a good family vacation here, and priced right. We're thankful for pet friendly home options to bring our sweet dog along.

The Property was incredably beautiful with large backyard for our dog to run. great shade provided by many mature trees. Location and view of the Lake equaly amazing. The house itself was roomy and very comfortable but was in need of some maintinence. Many of the shades missing slats and some did not work at all. Several cieling fans not operating properly. Garage lights not operating, and a few other minor issues. None of these items made our experience any less enjoyable. Outside one of the Kayaks (large one) leaked significantly. Could only go short distances. The property hos Marty was terrific. We had issues understanding the TV and she was there in 5 minutes fixing the issues and showing us how to operate remotes. She was always available. Overall we gave this VRBO a 4.4 rating. With a little maintenence this would be a 5 Star property. Great time for my wife and I and our dog.

We loved our stay on Lake Norman in this sweet 1970’s time capsule! The location and lake access were perfect!!! We loved the flat yard- it was perfect for yard games and evening bonfires! The only thing to be improved upon was the cleanliness of the home especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. Our host was very helpful and responsive to all messages and we would definitely rent from Marty again!

Great waterfront access, but house needed serious upgrading and remodeling. Here is the best way I can put it:
In the heart of a town, down a lonely lane,
Stands a VRBO, aged and stained.
Once it gleamed with promise, bright,
Now it's shrouded in a dreary blight.
Cracked old walls with peeling paint,
Dusty curtains hang in faint.
Floorboards creak with every tread,
A ghostly whisper, words unsaid.
Stale old couches, worn and torn,
Echo the tales of nights forlorn.
Stained old carpets, color lost,
Bear the marks of time's harsh cost.
The kitchen, a relic of days long past,
Grease and grime hold their feast steadfast.
A fridge that groans, a stove that sighs,
While shadows dance where sunlight dies.
Mold in corners, mildew's scent,
Rooms that hold a faint lament.
Beds that sag and sheets that fray,
Welcoming guests in a most unkind way.
Yet beneath the grime, a charm persists,
A hint of what could still exist.
With love and care, a touch of grace,
This house could be a wondrous place.
A coat of paint, a thorough clean,
Fresh new linens, and a sheen.
Repair the floors, the walls, the light,
Transform the dark into something bright.
For every home deserves a chance,
To live again, to sing, to dance.
To shed the dust, the dirt, the drear,
And welcome joy with open cheer.
So let us dream for this VRBO,
A future bright, a hopeful glow.
Where guests can come and find delight,
In a place renewed, made fresh and right.

This property has large mature trees that provide shade from the hot Carolina Sun. There is a large patio surrounding the entire back of the home facing the Lake. The large overhead covered area protected us from rain showers. There is a picnic table and wicker set of chairs and couch so we could enjoy being outside and enjoying the view. I enjoyed reading out there but you can walk out on the dock or play corn hole.
Indoors is spacious and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. We only had to purchase our food and paper goods. There are games, books, a large screen TV in the great room and a small TV in the primary bedroom. Large dining room made family dinners a time to enjoy our time together.
Our host was responsive to any of my questions. Her notebook on the kitchen counter answered most questions.
We loved this property. We would definitely recommend this home.

What a nice spot to sit and enjoy the lake. The house was rustic and nice. We wish we could have rented the pontoon boat but it was too early in the season. Marty was always available and quick to respond. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

We loved our stay. Quiet, convenient and very private. The yard and view was exquisite and we were very comfortable. Some of the house was kind of dated but we have come to expect that in pet friendly rentals.

Very clean inside. The outside could use some attention (spider webs) and cleaner outside furniture. But it is fall. But it was a beautiful day to be outside. The dock is amazing with a nice picnic table at the end. (Nails need to be pounded down on the dock) The TV was not user friendly. The heater works great. Very private. Very spacious. Great kitchen. Over all it was great

Grandkids had a great time swimming off the dock. House was clean, beds were comfortable. The cove was great for swimming and water activities. We rented a triton for a couple of days and it was very easy to dock.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. It rained the entire weekend, but we were so relaxed here. Beautiful views of the lake. Comfy rooms. Like other people have mentioned, could use some updating, but still a terrific home. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely time at this property. We enjoyed peaceful mornings sipping coffee on back porch, being visited by deer and families of ducks and geese (very cute fuzzy babies!). We also enjoyed some time on the pontoon boat to relax and fish. Wonderful few days! Owner was very responsive if we asked questions or needed anything. Would definitely come back!!

We enjoyed the spaciousness of the home and the outdoor patio complete with picnic table, chairs and table. The front lawn provided alot of room for bocci ball and corn hole! We loved waking every morning with a cup of coffee, sitting out on the patio with direct view of the lake. There were a few situations that occurred but our hostess Marty handled it immediately and professionally. She was awesome! I would recommend this home and hope to go back one day.

We were pleasantly surprised with the holiday decorations! The house was welcoming and exuded warmth especially during the cold weather conditions. Our host, Marty, was communicative and very helpful! We enjoyed our stay and plan on staying there again in the future. THANK YOU MARTY for making our Christmas holiday perfect!

My family enjoyed our time at the lake house. Property manager was easy to communicate with and addressed any our only issue very quickly. Overall an excellent stay. Sliding patio doors need some help, a little hard to open. But, we really didnt have any problems. Thank you!

Yes we'd like the property a lot but I had a question whether the house beside it could also be rented at the same time? If it could it would be large enough for our family to stay. I would appreciate some info on that.

Really charming home. While the house was dated…this was easily made up for by the large backyard, dock, and waterfront views. Not many homes on Lake Norman are affordable, this was! More than enough room with the family room being massive. My family and I really enjoyed our time here. Marty was really helpful and flexible. If we stay on Lake Norman again, it will certainly be here!

Lake Norman at its best
Large level front yard leading to the dock was a plus. We had a heat wave while at our stay so splash in the lake was nice for cooling off. Overall house was comfortable and our stay was a hit!
