Amazing! Better than the pictures !
It was all we had hope for. The house was really clean, very spacious and the lay out of the house /bedroom and bathrooms provided lots privacy between couples.
The pool was refreshing especially after a long day at the beach. We barely used our car, just to go food shopping or eat in the lovely harbor of Deshaies.
My 3 year old daughter loved all the toys that were in the house and we especially enjoyed that she took naps for hours in the hamac :-)
We can not wait to be back .

Great location and a wonderful, well-equipped property with all you would need for a relaxing vacation.
A five minute walk gets you to the amazing Grande Anse beach - wonderful for early morning beach walks and swims. A five minute drive gets you into the cosy village of Deshaies. Plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars in the village and along the coast road.
The house is slightly overlooked but provides plenty of privacy for relaxing evenings by the pool enjoying barbecue and the odd glass of French wine.
Daniel and Christine are very welcoming, friendly but unobtrusive. We loved the welcome package of local foods and that everything in the villa worked. Merci a vous deux pour un tres bonne sejour!
We're big H&A users and my only complaint is that the hefty deposit of EUR1000 cost us CAN$150 in FX rates when it was returned. It is a lot to pay for something we didn't use. I'd rather pay the deposit in cash or in home currency.

Super adresse !

Wonderful house across one of the best beaches in Deshaies
We loved the house, new, clean, spacious. Our 3 boys loved the pool. I loved the hammock. Walking distance to the beach. Each bedroom is air conditioned which is helpful on hot days. Large supermarket is 15-20 minutes away. Hosts are responsive and accommodating.

Lovely house in a lovely setting.
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. Pool was wonderful for our kids, and the location is great, 2 minutes to the most beautiful beach, or into Deshaies. House is well equipped and very comfortable. Daniel was very kind and dropped off fresh bananas, and coffee etc. Would love to comeback someday. Some construction nearby, which did not bother us. The sunsets, location and beautiful house were perfect. Thankyou so much. Cheers, Thomas and Kristy

The house is clean, spacious, and comfortable. Everything (appliances, WiFi, A/C...) is new, and the kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, pots, utensils, etc. You will see bugs, especially ants (who will get into anything you don't wrap up or put in the refrigerator), but that's unavoidable in the Caribbean. The pool is a bit smaller than it looks in the photos, but it's a beautiful spot, and we spent many happy hours swimming and napping on the deck. Two small concerns to note about the house, though: first, there are many roosters in the neighborhood, and until you become accustomed to the noise, they will make it hard to sleep at night; second, there's a new house under construction right below the pool area, so you may want to check to see if/when the builders will be active -- one morning, they were banging away on the roof just a few feet from us.
Grand Anse beach is down the hill and across the road. But it's not a pleasant walk, given the traffic speeding by, so even though its very close, you may want to drive there. In any case, we preferred a couple of other beaches (Perle, 5 minutes to the north, and Petit Anse, to the south).
There's a supermarket in Deshaies, but the one on the road to Saint Rose is much larger and only 10 minutes away.
The roads in the area are good, but keep in mind that the area is very hilly (not easy for the little car that we rented), with lots of curves. So if you want to explore the southern part of Basse Terre, you should expect the drive to take longer than your GPS will predict.
All in all, we (2 adults, 2 teenagers) had a lovely time. If you want fancy restaurants and clubs, this isn't the right area. But if you prefer a more casual scene, quiet beaches, and some hiking and snorkeling, then it's a good choice.
