Absolutely the most gorgeous views possible. Everything was exactly as pictured. We had the most wonderful winter getaway from Colorado and were there for the entire month of February '23! Yes. Highly recommend for short or long term. We will definitely being staying here again. Not soon enough but maybe our 20th Anniversary next year! 🤞

My wife, 1.5 yr old and I rented the house for a week over the summer. The house was in great shape. Very comfortable and our host made the process easy. The views are incredible and you can hear the waves from every room with the doors open. I would caution anyone renting the house that the stairs from parking to the house are a HIKE! Going up and down carrying luggage or my son was more of a workout than I prefer on vacation. Overall though a wonderful experience.

Fabulous Stay
The property is unique (designed by a well-known architect) and beautiful. Lots of space to spread out and enjoy the spectacular views of the Pacific! Katherine and Rory were a pleasure to deal with and were responsive to all of our questions. They even helped us with the luggage! Note that there are a lot of stairs to gain access to the property, but once you're there it's so fantastic!

This property did not disappoint and the hosts were great. The stairs are no joke, but worth it to access this wonderful home and gorgeous views from every room. Great location for a Malibu vacation.

It's even better than the pictures
This is the MOST architecturally interesting home I have ever been in--the floor to ceiling windows looking out to the mountain side and ocean were breathtaking. We loved sitting in the hot tub on the deck looking out at the ocean during the afternoon and sitting by the grass at night looking at the moon. Beautiful!!!

This was a beautiful property in a wonderful location. Katherine and Rory were very accommodating and friendly. There are a lot of steps, but a beautiful view from every vantage point and a great venue for a family reunion.

We had a wonderful time and will definitely go again.

Amazing vistas
Wonderful views from every room in the house. Katherine and Rory are lively and responsive hosts. Plenty of room to sit outside and follow the sun with an amazing and different view from eac location. Truly a magical site for a house. The walk up and down was definitely worth it.

Amazing, excellent, Superb

Stunning views
We chose this property because of the stunning views from all aspects of this gorgeous home. There are so many areas to sit and soak in the magnificent surroundings. The house is full of character and history and is beautifully decorated. It was an idyllic and relaxing getaway and we would definitely come again. The hosts, Katherine and Rory were extremely helpful, assisting us with our luggage , quick to respond to any queries, and happy to advise on local restaurant options. The hot tub was also a big hit with the family! What a wonderful way to relax and enjoy the unparalleled views!

Spectacular home and ocean views!
Always a treat to discover a new place in California. Eagle’s Nest above the Pacific in Malibu will be remembered as a favorite! One of the most relaxing vacations on record, we enjoyed the ocean views from every room in this architect’s dream home, hiked nearby trails that led to yet more spectacular ocean views and enjoyed several local restaurants. i can't overstate how wonderful this place is. The Eagles Watch is an amazing property: extraordinary architecture, incredible views, true privacy from the outside community. and it's three stories allow for independence among the residents as well. it is a fantastic location on southeastern Malibu. the host couldn't be mare inviting and charming. a once in a lifetime experience.

Nice spot to get away from the grinds
One of the more interesting vacation rental homes I've ever stayed in. Unique architecture, quirky bathroom color palettes and plenty of places to hide and stare. It's fun and a good deal for the money.

Amazing Malibu Location
Amazing architectural design with absolutely beautiful panoramic views of the mountains and ocean that surround Malibu. Rory and Katherine were wonderful hosts and responded immediately to all communication. Convenient location with a short distance to LAX, Pepperdine University, the beach, and beautiful mountain trails. Incredible to watch dolphins swimming near the beach from floor-to-ceiling windows. Not necessarily handicap friendly, but this was not an issue for us.

California dreaming
Unique house set on the Malibu Cliffs with amazing 360 degree views. Very comfortable and in good condition. Excellent restaurants and shopping nearby. Family that own the house live next door and are extremely attentive to any needs. Highly recommended.

Extraordinary place
This is an extraordinary property. The views and architecture are magnificent. The location is wonderful. There are many areas, inside and out, to congregate and enjoy the view. The rooms are large, attractive and comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked and beautiful, in its own right.
One note of caution - this very special property is not well suited for those with physical limitations. Access is through a European style “tram” or a fairly demanding series of stairs. You needn’t be an athlete, but you need to be able to walk up and down stairs with comfort.
Other than that, be prepared to be wowed. There is not a room or a window that doesn’t provide a view of beauty - whether imported marble or beautiful hills or the vast Pacific.
Our ladies only birthday celebration was unforgettable - not only because of the company, but because of the impressive, extraordinary house. We loved just being there.

Breathtaking first time Malibu experience
Eagles Watch was one of the most spectacular views we have ever experienced. The 360 degree views were all unique. Found ourselves just lounging and enjoying the views, listening to the crashing of waves or watching dolphins swimming in the ocean. Such a great way to relax for a vacation.
The host Katherine and Rory were super. And chef Sara cooking a superb meal in house for our family was a highlight. Would highly recommend this experience

Perfect Stay in Perfect Malibu House
I had my bachelorette party at Eagle's Watch and it was just perfect. Katherine is a very generous and communicative host who made sure my group was taken care of, her husband helped us out majorly with our luggage, and she left some amazing treats for us for our celebrations that weekend. Couldn't recommend Katherine and this property enough, hope to stay here again in the near future!

Pepperdine Conference
My colleagues and I stayed at the Eagle's Watch while we attended a conference at Pepperdine University. It was such a welcome place to come home to after a long day. A place to relax and enjoy the amazing beauty of the place. Katherine could not have been more hospitable. She welcomed us and made us feel completely at home. All-in-all - a lovely stay and we will be back again!

The views are amazing, and owners were helpful!!
My family and I enjoyed our stay very much!!! The house is spacious and the views from everywhere are incredible, just like on the pictures. The AC upstairs and downstairs were not functioning, but the owner took care of it... it got repaired after two days.... upstairs without AC can be very warm!! Location is amazing too, close to everything. The Venicular to get up and down to the top of the house, broke in the last couple days of our stay there, so for us going up and down the stairs ( there’s many flights of stairs to get up there) was a workout for us and my kids.... but for my mom, it was not ideal ( and groceries too...). But the owners were very sorry and tried to accommodate us as much as they could!!! Overall, we enjoyed the al fresco dinner that we did outside, we also enjoyed the privacy and spectacular views....

Relaxing and private feeling
We we looking for a place to relax and unwind. This place was perfect. A beautiful home with amazing views. We sat in the sun on one side of the house in the mornings with views of the canyon, and then again in the afternoon/eve on the other side of the house with views of the ocean. We enjoyed watching hundreds of dolphins over the course of our stay, both during coffee and cocktails (and some in between). Katherine and Rory were very kind and we even took advantage of their suggestion for a personal chef, Sara. She was upbeat and fun, and cooked us some amazing meals. We left feeling relaxed, fat and sassy! Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Amazing getaway
This house is everything you would think it is by the pictures....unreal! The views are breathtaking. There is ample room for 8 people to sleep and you are not in each others way. The Funicular is an added bonus to this amazing place. Highly recommended.

Amazing home and experience!
This house was the perfect spot for a vacation in Malibu! Everything about it was spectacular! You have privacy, views from every room that are beyond compare, comfort and style. We were able to go anywhere quickly and we had delicious food. The hot tub is the perfect place to relax and the seating outside is great. Every issue that arose was taken care of immediately and Katherine and Rory could not have been more accommodating. The kitchen is a cook’s dream! There are beautiful areas to sit and read a book by the fire while you are taking in the views inside and outside! This truly is a one of a kind masterpiece! Plan your next trip here and you will not be disappointed until it’s time to leave! We cannot wait to go back again!

Very relaxing and good chi
Stayed for 5 nights with my family and found it a wonderful experience. The house is magical, and has incredible views...the hostess was very helpful but also unobtrusive. The house is well-equipped for cooking. the hot tub on the deck was wonderful and we used it at dawn and dusk every day. We saw whales from the terrace. Bed was comfortable, bathroom/shower very nice...everything worked. Great. Will go back someday I hope.

Unique house with a perfect view
The property exceeded expectations- the architecture is magnificent, the house is a bit older but very well maintained with comfortable furniture. The bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms were spacious and there was plenty of outdoor space, parking (2 covered tandem places + more parking on the top of the property if you are OK to walk some stairs in the garden). The house which is elevated on a cliff has a spectacular entrance (by funicular). Our host Katherine was welcoming and available to address any questions, yet also respected our privacy. The hot tub is lovely and clean. We stayed with 6 friends and that was very comfortable, the house easily fits 8 adults. If you are looking for sweeping views, privacy, and a home away from home in a unique architectural marvel, stay at this property. Our group thoroughly enjoyed it.
