Excellent location and home. Neighborhood was quiet. Short walk to the beach and a great restaurant. Beach sunsets were amazing. House had everything we needed and a bonus with the jacuzzi. Appreciated the beach supplies available. Great fenced in yard for our small dog. Communication was excellent with the owner. This was our first time to the Cape May area, we will definitely be staying again in the future.

Overall, we did enjoy our stay at the Browning Bungalow (mostly for the amazing location) and would love to return if more attention would be paid to the property. The owners were very prompt and helpful in resolving issues that we brought up to them: there was virtually no toilet paper, paper towels, or kleenex in the house, and they had a neighbor bring us over some that evening. We also noticed that the hot tub had a ring of brown residue and brown foam when turned on. They sent the chemical guy the next morning to address it. However, we still had some brown foam appearing over the filter and when investigated, we found a brownish-gray glob stuck in the filter. Along this theme, the outside was full of dry dead pine needles that we had to sweep in order to be able to use the outside without dragging pine needles all over the place. The gas grill was rusting out, unsafe to light, which it did only partially, and was virtually unusable. The cooler on wheels was broken and filled with dirty water and the wheels on the cart were flat with no tire pump to fill them. Inside, the house seemed like it didn't have a decent cleaning in a while. The knife block had crud all over the front of it, the insides of garbage/drawers/appliances were lined with splatters/grime, and along with the shower, bath/kitchen mats, etc., all seemed to have been ignored/not cleaned/not replaced for some time. It's really a lovely property with an amazing location, but it sorely needs some attention.

The house was exactly what we were hoping for - a short walk to the beach and a quick drive to everything else we wanted to see. Our dogs loved taking walks on the nearby beach. And we all loved eating dinner in the beautiful backyard at night. The host was great with communication and very thoughtful. We're already looking at booking another stay.

The house was in a great location in a nice residential area. The walk to the bay was short and it’s a very nice family oriented beach area other local beaches were just a short drive away we really loved Poverty Beach. Some suggestions I would recommend for the house would be a few more usable cooking utensils, having the grass cut especially with the allowance of dogs, maybe a second television in the master bedroom, and more kitchen/dining seating with a little more comfort. We had a great stay overall and the fenced yard was perfect for our furry family members.

First vacation with our 2 one year old pups. They had a blast walking and swimming in the bay. Perfect location. We also visited Higbee Beach a few times. The house was perfect for our needs. Thus was our first time staying in Cape May and will definitely be back again. Everyone loved Harpoons as well, even the pups. Communicating with the owner was excellent, quick replies to any questions I had. I will definitely recommend to others.

We wanted to introduce our dog to the beach for the first time and this house was perfect for us! The fenced in backyard and short walk to the bay was just what we were looking for. The house was clean and included everything we could want/need. With just a short drive to Cape May beaches, this was the perfect location. The hot tub was an added bonus as well. We are already talking about making another trip.

Wonderful stay with my family and dogs. Clean, close to all attractions, zoo, Wildwood boardwalk, excellent restaurants, and 2 walkable blocks from the beach. I would recommend this home for anyone looking to get away and enjoy some nice, quiet family time.

House was very nice and perfectly located. Just a short walk to the bay and short drive to Cape May Beaches. Bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. We did bring our own pillows. Backyard was fenced in and beautifully landscaped. We did not spend all of our time at the house but it was comfortable for ourselves and our adult children. Check in was simple and straightforward. Thanks to the host for a very pleasant experience.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Brian's house. It had everything we needed and we loved the proximity to the beach and the hot tub. Brian was very helpful and responsive. He's a great host! I recommend staying there whether it's a couple or a full family. It was a very fun relaxing time.

The best part of this property is the short walk to the bay. It had 3 good size bedrooms and a living room that could be closed off with french doors which was helpful with early risers. Beautiful backyard but unfortunately the mosquitoes were the only ones able to use it.

Had a terrific vacation, close to beach, close to Harpoons, easy check in and check out, nice privacy in backyard, kitchen is well equipped. We also used the linen service they recommended, was very helpful. We will rent again for sure!

Perfect location! Walk to the beautiful bay beach and to Harpoons with GREAT food! House was roomy enough for 5 of us and yard was perfect with nice deck and fenced in yard for our dog. Wish the kitchen had more seating. Giving this house 5 out of 5 stars for sure!!!

Perfect for our needs!
We could not have selected a better property for our family of 4 plus puppy. Our 6 year old and 21 month old girls loved the themed bedrooms and all of the toys! Really a great touch when traveling with small children, not to mention access to pack n play and stroller! Real life saver! No complaints of the house and everything provided was very useful and appreciated. Tip to owner would only be to add a small night table in the master bedroom for phone/glasses, etc. Overall cannot say anything negative and we had a great week! Thank you!!!

Family vacation 2019
Location, location, location!!!! This house is only two blocks from the bay as well as Harpoons on the Bay. We happen to love North Cape May and this house didn't disappointe. It was the perfect size for our family of four. We have a 2.5 year old and an 11 month old and the house had everything we needed for them. Not having to pack a highchair, stroller and a pack and play was a game changer for us. We were even able to turn the day bed into make shift crib which my 2.5 year old LOVED! It was also great that there were toys in the kids room. My son LOVED playing with the toy diner. After a day at the beach he would go to his room and play with the toys for an hour! The Wi-Fi was really good (no blackout spots) and the connection was strong enough that we were able to use it outside. The only suggestion I would give the owner, Brian (who by the way was very nice, extremely organization and very accessable) is to empty out one of the cabinets in the kitchen so that guest's have a place to put all of their non perishables. We had to put everything on the countertop which left little room for anything else. All in all we LOVE the house and would rent from Brian again!

I loved it!
We loved it! Brian is a great host! We stayed at Brian’s house from Sept. 7th - 15th. I think we chose the worst week of the summer in NJ where the sun never come out until the day we left & it rained most of the time so we didn’t get to enjoy swimming in the bay beach, cookout or see the beautiful sunsets, however We went on a couple of walks on the beach with our dog which is pristine & collected some shells. Brian’s house is truly like a home away from home. He provides everything from beach equip to everything you need to cook with, paper products, cleaning products. You can literally just pack you clothes & bed linens & go. We stayed here last year too. I would definitely recommend Brian & his house & would give a 10 star if the website would allow for this!

Great cape may vacation
We had an awesome time on our trip and loved the house. Everything was clean and ready to go upon arrival. The house was spacious and we loved sitting on the back deck. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, pans, spices, etc. It was a short walk to the bay beach and my daughter loved that we could walk our dog there. Short drive to other area attractions like sunset beach and wildwood boardwalk. Brian was courteous and helpful from booking until checkout. Would definitely recommend for a family or visitors with a dog (fenced in yard was a huge bonus).

We loved it!
The house was great ! Brian was a great host! He kept in communication with me from the time we booked the house until we checked in. He was very accommodating regarding check in time or extending our stay. When we got there he had a book of all necessary instructions & suggestions of nearby restaurants & activities so we knew exactly what to do & where everything was in the house. My only complaint was that the bathroom was very small & the toilet seat was broken. This should have been noticed & fixed prior to our arrival. it was our 1st vacation with our 4 year old cockapoo to N. Cape May & our 1st time staying on the bay. My fear was that bay would be dirty like the northern jersey beaches & I was so happy that it was so clean. The only thing in the bay water we're pretty shells & pretty stones. For the 1st time our dog was off the leash swimming & romping & chasing birds. Once in awhile I'd see someone with a dog & I would quickly put her leash on so not to have a situation with a bigger dog. The house was just 2 1/2 short blocks to the bay & the sunsets on the beach were beautiful. We stayed the week of Sept. 11th & Hurricane Irma on her way so most of the week was cloudy & in the low 70's. The bay tempature was about the same so we were about to enjoy everything Cape May had to offer. We had a great relaxing week.

Wonderful family getaway
Our family had a wonderful time here and are already planning when we can go back! The house is adorable and comfortably fit three adults and a rambunctious toddler. The beach chairs and other supplies were a life saver. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cooking supplies, and lots of spices. Our daughter loved the trundle bed and step stool in the bathroom. I highly recommend this house!

As good as home, but with a minutes walk to the beach
The property was great! It really was home away from home. Everything was provided that was needed- small kitchen appliances, paper products, cooking needs, beach accessories. Yes, linens needed to be brought, but that is normal and actually appreciated. Everything was clean. If contact was made to the owner, there was a timely response. The property was clean, owner made fabulous recommendations that were awesome, and directions were all laid out. Can we move in permanently?! We'd be lucky to be able to rent the same place next year. Highly recommend. Thank you!!

Perfect for our purpose!
We had a wonderful week at this beach bungalow! We have two very small children and had to do almost nothing to make it childproof and our toddler loved the bedroom with a trundle bed! The backyard is lovely and fenced in so we were able to grill and relax out back after they went to sleep. The house was clean and mostly up to date and had whatever you could need for the beach. It was a very short walk to the bay beach, which is perfect for kids, and there is a great family restaurant right there as well we went to almost daily. It is also a short drive to the ocean and downtown Cape May, which is so lovely! We also went to the Cape May Zoo and a water park close by in Wildwood and there more things we could do but ran out of time. We loved this vacation and would go back!

Great family vaca/beach wedding!
We had a GREAT week- sad it went soooo fast! We got married on the beach on Thursday and had dinner for 20 at Harpoon's afterward. SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL! Having the fenced in yard for our pups was wonderful! The landscaping/deck is beautiful! Guys enjoyed the outdoor shower- and it was nice to rinse off the sand before going in to house! Would recommend this for your next family vaca. Walking distance to beach & Harpoons and short drive to grocery store & ferry.

Perfect Week by the beach
This was our first family vacation with two small children. The house was clean, nicely decorated, and had a good supply of kitchen utensils, wares, spices, etc. The beach chairs, umbrella and cart were very useful. Our family greatly enjoyed the quick walk to the beach. The bay beaches are not over crowded which was great for the kids. The house is conveniently located, everywhere we wanted to go was in a 10-15 minute car ride away. The owners are readily available and extremely nice and very responsive. Can't wait until next year!

Rent this place! You won't be disappointed
My family of five stayed here mid July 2017. Let me tell you, the pictures of this place do not do it justice. Big open floor plan with great size bedrooms and a back family room that comfortably fit everybody. They provide you with all of the dishes, plates, and cups that you will ever need. The deck off the back yard is charming and makes for a great relaxation. Big Weber Grill, outside shower, and use of the shed that has beach stuff in case you want to take a trip to the bay or beach. The house is in great shape, and a block and a half from the bay, and the best sunset you will ever see.
Interacting with owners of Brian and Alissa makes you feel like you have known them for several years. They make you feel instantly comfortable, which is a neat trick considering the communication was via email. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need, and that you thoroughly enjoy your time at their beautiful home. Also include a binder that outlines everything there is to do in Cape May, which is a great touch.
Well worth the trip, and we are already looking for dates next year.

Really a great place to stay. The host was very responsive during set up. Didn't contact him at all during the stay because everything was perfect.

Great home by the bay for family/pets
My family and I really enjoyed our stay in Brian's home! The kitchen was nicely updated and the backyard was great for running our dog around. The location close to the bay and Harpoon Henry's can't be beat, every morning we would go for a walk along the beach and enjoyed being so close. The bathroom could use a little updating but for the price and location we were very happy with our stay. Thanks for being a great host Brian!

Quaint bungalow in quiet neighborhood.
Had a lovely stay. House was clean, comfortable and we'll supplied with all essentials needed to get started and only a 10-15 minute drive to Wilwood.
Would definitely rent again.
