About this house rental
This cottage home is the perfect balance of lounging and play. Conveniently located in the established Village of Santo Domingo, this two bedroom, two bath is complete with a den and pullout bed. Just a short jaunt to the entertainment in Market Square and Spanish Springs, this home offers the convenience of both town squares only minutes away. Within the town squares restaurants, shopping, movie theaters and nightly live entertainment abound.
This bright and airy home greets you as soon as you walk in the door with a large open living room, furnished with Italian leather couches. The dining area is well appointed and has seating for six. The bright kitchen is spacious and ready for your latest culinary creations or hosting. You'll note that the kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and dinnerware for dining at home.
The Florida room is perfectly positioned off of the dining area and is equipped with large windows that provide plenty of natural sunlight. Curl up in either of the two spacious lounge chairs for taking in your favorite novel. Just adjacent, the lanai has seating enough for five for those early morning coffee sessions. From the lanai you can take in the orange trees as they move in the breeze or simply watch the palm trees sway.
For everyday needs the nearby La Plaza Grande Shopping Center offers a Publix grocer store, Walgreens Phamacy, banking, apparel shops, restaurants and more. The Colony Plaza Shopping Center contains additional shopping such as Publix, Walgreens, banking, Bealls Outlet and various restaurants. The El Santiago Recreation Center is equipped with a family swimming pool, billiards room, card/board game rooms, tennis an pickle ball courts, bocce ball, basketball, volleyball, shuffleboard and horseshoe pits. This was our second stay at this location and I hope to make it our yearly spot. The property is well maintained, clean, relaxing and quiet neighborhood. We enjoy the ease of check-in, location to our yearly jeep event, nearby shopping and entertainment. Property manager is always very helpful and quick to respond if you have any questions or concerns (which we did not). We also love the use of the golf cart for a short evening ride after a long day. We look forward to staying again in October 2020.

The house is near Spanish Springs and Lake Sumter Squares. Rent this place, you will not be disappointed!

Everything was wonderful !! Booking was easy. Home was very well kept, comfortable and located in lovely, safe community. Many amenities were available and the golf cart was a super fun bonus. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. It felt like they were old friends. I would be pleased to rent this house again.

The house was much larger then it looked in the pictures. It was very well stocked. The bedding is very comfortable with memory foam pillows. I have booked many houses both in the country and out and it one of the most comfortable, clean and well cared for.

This is a cute, comfortable home with great beds. I gave 3 stars only because the newly installed wifi didn't work consistently so the TV would go on and off while watching. This is a convenient location close to a center with a golf cart, which is the Villages preferred way of travel. Very helpful owners who respond quickly to requests.

The property was just as described and very well equipped with whatever we needed. We were able to visit with old friends who live in the Villages, use many of the amenities and could travel to just about everywhere we needed in the golf cart if we chose to. We would definitely not hesitate to rent again from Lisa.

Very clean and well taken care of
This property is beautiful and spacious with all the amenities you'll need, just bring your clothes and groceries. The owner was always helpful with any questions and we had no issues during our stay. We loved the sleep number bed and the whole home ionizer was a plus as we use one at home so it made our stay even more comfortable. We will be booking this property for all our future trips to the area.

Location was perfect and quiet,, easy to get around. The house was very well stocked, even had butter in the fridge!! The owner was extremely helpful with any questions we had. I would absolutely stay again when in the area.

Santo Domingo House
We made a very late request for a house in The Villages during the Thanksgiving holiday and were very happy to find Lisa's home for our visit. This house was clean, comfortable, and convenient. Her quick response was helpful in nailing down our plans.
The bright red golf cart was a nice bonus. Great visit!

The house was really cute and a good value. The only negative was the beds were very uncomfortable and we didn’t sleep well. Woke up stiff and sore. Too hard.

Renter Beware
We have stayed at this property before. Circumstances happen and we understand that. On our 2nd night of this past stay we put a bag of trash in the garage (per instructions). The next morning we noticed that some vermin had gotten into the trash--so we made sure that our vehicle was closed securely even when parked inside the garage with the garage door closed. On the morning of check out---we opened the hatch to find vermin droppings and damage throughout our brand new vehicle. Damage includes destroyed seat belts, leather seats chewed, leather door upholstery chewed and torn off. A car with 500 miles total now smells like a rodent cage that has not been cleaned. The leather on 3 of the 4 doors will need to be replaced, along with the rubber molding for two of the windows. Seat belts will need to be replaced, the front seats need to be removed to see what damage occurred since there is missing insulation chewed below the seat. We have no car to drive as the car is at the dealer waiting for an insurance adjuster. We contacted the owner--initially--she said it was our problem, then provided us with her homeowner insurance information. The insurance company has an exclusion for this "occurrence" so this will not be covered by their insurance. The homeowner said "they would make it right." So, in 10 days nothing has happened as our car has been sitting at the dealer waiting for some resolution. We paid our full price to stay at the property. Now we will be fighting for months/years with the stress of repairs, legal costs, and other associated costs. This should not be the end-result of a vacation. BTW-VRBO also will not help as they do not cover issues that happen to your belongings while on a property.
Had this been us as the owner we would have:
1. Not rented with a rodent issue.
2. If we had a rodent or any other issue we would have helped the renter in any way possible (ride, money, rental car) to make the situation right.
3. Do the right thing--when you make a mistake or something you own caused an issue, make it right. We treat others how we want to be treated but the owners have not done so.
If you rent and something happens, then you might not be helped and you may never want to vacation again.

We had an amazing time in The Villages - especially in the Dario Cottage! Lisa, thank you for being so responsive and thinking of every detail. We truly felt relaxed and 'at home' during our stay. We highly recommend this rental if you are in to comfort and calm. Thanks again!
