About this house rental

Come to the shore for the great fall weather and warm ocean! Also the Bungalow had a full kitchen renovation recently.

Welcome to our lovely Cape-style home a short walk to the 18th Avenue Beach in Belmar, NJ. We have a very comfortable home - with all the best features: Double wide porch for morning coffee, off-street parking (no hassle - up to 3 cars), a fenced-in shady back yard, outdoor table, grill (charcoal and gas), shed, and a must have for those long beach days - an outdoor shower!! Quiet, friendly, cul-de-sac street!!

We are pet friendly, so you can plan to bring your pets for a Jersey shore vacation!

Please note that 4 - Beach passes are included in your summer rental!

There are 3 bedrooms and one futon in the house: One queen bed downstairs, one queen upstairs, two twins upstairs, and one futon in the back playroom. We have new linens and towels, and provide beach towels too.

Feel free to use anything in the shed: rafts, sand toys, beach chairs, pack-n-play, stroller.

We hope to make your stay as comfortable as possible, so you can relax and make some memories of summer beach days!

We’ve stayed at many places and this is at the top of the list! Great location near lakes and ocean, pickleball courts, train station, and restaurants, and the house itself was very clean, comfy, and spacious. The communication with owners was terrific - quick responses to questions and helpful tips - since this was our first time in the area.

We had a wonderful 7 days at this magical home which seemed to expand to fit our needs and the space distribution was perfect for cooking together, board games, having coffee outside - both front porch and the large table in the back yard. The shed had everything we needed for the beach, and the walk was within quick walking distance, including one route which took us straight by Lake Como. We spent our mornings at the home lounging, our afternoons at the beach, and our evenings playing Settlers of Cataan and & Wonders. The outdoor shower was a hit with everyone, and we all slept well with the window units air-conditioning. The dishwasher and the washer and dryer worked great, and the keyless entry was so easy for a large group. Our pups enjoyed the backyard, and all the walks by the lake around the beautiful neighborhoods on the other side of the lake. We appreciated being close enough to walk to the shore with enough distance that our days and nights were peaceful and quiet. The host and hostess were communicative, accessible, and kind. The house was a great shore cottage, We hope to return to this space again.

We stayed here with our family (including a toddler, baby, and dog) and we all had a great time! The fenced yard was perfect for us, and they had all the beach gear you could want! It’s a great house in a nice location. We would definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay so much! The house is well kept with all the necessary amenities provided. We enjoyed the comfy L-shaped couch on the rainy days watching the Olympics and the outdoor porch as well. Walked and biked to the beach - great beach location with lots of places to eat nearby.

This is our 5th year staying here. After a two year hiatus, the updates were very welcoming. The kitchen update was amazing and the addition of a dishwasher was most welcoming when you feed a crew. Everyday was a beach day. We can’t wait for next year. This house is our home for a week.

This is a very nice house. I can’t think of anything we needed. We had perfect weather and enjoyed the beach everyday which is a short walk, approximately 15 minutes . For our morning walk we went around Lake Como which was only two blocks away and had a comfortable path around the lake. We were pleasantly surprised by how cool the house was during the hot days. The front porch for morning coffee and the backyard where we sat after dinner while my grandchildren and grand puppy ran off energy, were both perfect. Great memories were made at this house and I would highly recommend a stay there. Plus we had an internet question and the owner was rapid with a response.

+ Fast Host replies, easy check in, Love the porch, clean, well stocked, 2 tvs, cornhole, fenced yard for dog, good rooms & comfortable beds. Good location to eateries/ etc. - Gets hot 2nd floor. Could use more air conditioners. Bbq didnt work or hammock & could use upgrade on patio chairs/cushions Bit of walk to beach or tough get parking if driving.

Had an amazing long weekend at this cute bungalow. David and Cathlin were the perfect hosts. They were communicative and made check-in and check-out super easy. The property was stocked with anything you could possibly need and the neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. Would definitely book again!

Just wrapped up another great stay at this fantastic Bel Mar bungalow. The house is on a quiet street with friendly neighbors... walking distance to the beach, and just a few blocks off Main Street where you'll find lots of restaurants open all year round. Cathlin and David are constantly improving this already adorable spot, with the latest update being a completely renovated kitchen. Loved the addition of a dishwasher, but the best perk about this the Lake Como cottage is the fenced-in yard for people and pups to enjoy. Will definitely stay again!

Our stay at this home in Belmar was very charming totally relaxing even during this bad rain we had the house rental had games, comfortable furniture ,the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is very accommodating. Pretty much whatever you would need to cook is available a 10 minute walk to the beach. Location is great. Front porch is wonderful. Backyard is really nice. Looking forward to visiting again,, people go check it out !! The owners, the Shapiros are terrific, communication is super ,getting right back to you when you have a question or concern. 😊

We were in town for nephew's wedding and enjoyed staying at this property. It is an older home that they are working to update and was just fine for our stay. We got to spend some time with both our daughters and our toddler granddaughter. They had everything we needed!

This property was the perfect place for my family to gather together and thoroughly enjoy the last week of summer break. It is a multigenerational property. Meaning from age 2 to age 80, all needs were met. The beautiful house, in a quiet neighborhood, approximately 6 blocks from the beach had everything any of us could have asked for. We had the best time, and a large part of it was where we stayed. Thank you

My daughters and I had an incredible week in this house. It was spotless and very comfortable, the pictures were spot on, and it's within very easy walking distance to the beach. It also very close to a number of restaurants and bars, making it the perfect place for us to get away and enjoy all that the area has. We're already planning a trip back next summer.

Loved the property and such a cute house. The area was very peaceful. The best part was that it was walkable to the dog beach and regular beach. There is a walking path around Lake Como which was great! Although the weather wasn’t very cooperative, we still had a great time and the dog loved the fenced in yard! The owners were very responsive with instructions. Definitely will book again!

Arrived at the house first thing I noticed is the street was very quiet. The house was beautiful lovely porch for a coffee or tea in the morning. Kitchen was beautifully updated very clean. Bathroom was nice and updated, bedrooms were bright and comfy. Love the backyard all fenced in super quiet. The shed has everything you need beach chairs cushions for the outside furniture. Lots of grills to cook out neighbors are all super friendly. The house was very clean. Had everything you need very dog friendly, lots of squirrels for them to chase in the back corner up the tree, house is fully stocked. Walking distance to Lake Como and Spring Lake dog beach and Belmar beach. My only suggestion would be replacing the window unit air conditioners with central or split air conditioners and update the electrical box to handle the load. Will definitely return again.

The house was very clean and decorated well. It’s within walking distance of the beach. The home only has one bathroom and no dishwasher, so that was a bummer, but we were aware of those things before we rented the property. I would have liked the see TVs in the bedrooms. Also, the beds were not comfortable. Everyone kept waking up in the middle of the night. Otherwise, it is a great property for a short stay.

Love this property ! Great access to beach (just a few walkable blocks), perfect set up for dogs, easy communication with owners, house is always clean and stocked beyond what I would expect . Great/simple check in and check out instructions . For anyone that has a dog - can’t say enough about this set up. They have extra dog bowls, a locking/dog proof kitchen garbage, a fenced in yard all the way around back yard, great mud room area to wipe off paws , an optional pet gate if you don’t want them upstairs on the carpeted area , big washers and dryers for easy clean up, a huge couch with big window for squirrel watching. I will come back here every year this property is available !

This was my third time staying at this cozy Bel Mar home and, as usual, it did not disappoint! This home is in a great location... blocks from the beach and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Unlike other areas of the Jersey Shore, most of the restaurants are open year-round, making this a great "home base" to see other sites in the area. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, the neighbors are friendly, and the fenced-in yard is a huge plus for anyone traveling with fur kids. Highly recommend this awesome property and fabulous hosts!

My husband, son and I had a great stay in Belmar. Close to beach , restaurants and shops all with in walking distance. We we also brought along our 3yr old Labrador, the house was very accommodating for pets. Having a fenced in backyard was great and the dog bowls already there is a perfect touch. I would highly recommend this home and will hopefully return to it soon. Thanks for an enjoyable stay!
