About this cabin rental
We have 5 other 5 star listings on this site. They are all unique. We strive to provide our guests a level of comfort, style and cleanliness they deserve. Much thought goes into the towels, bedding, mattresses and pillows along with stocking the kitchen with everything we could think of to make it as much like home as possible. This property was purchased in 1996. As a family we used it as our moutain retreat. This cabin sits at the front end of a 50 acre tract of land. There is a a creek as you drive in, Chestnut Creek. The concrete drive winds up to the cute and cozy cabin tucked in the side of the mountain. Amazing views to be had from the front porch. More stars in the sky at night than you ever knew existed. There is a fire pit in the front yard for marshmallow roasting and s'mores. Once you enter the cabin you are welcomed by a vast room where you eat, watch TV, socialize, play games and the list goes on. It is open into the kitchen so no one misses anything, FOMO(fear of missing out). The kitchen is new with granite tops, 6 burner gas stove, country sink, dishwasher and much much more. We re-purposed many things from the renovation and used in the kitchen and in other parts of the house. The cabin has a tank-less gas hot water heater so no one will have to take a cold shower unless they choose to. Two rooms have full over full and twin over twin bunks. They all have memory foam, hypoallergenic green tea infused gel mattresses. The hall bath is spacious with a cast iron tub/shower, concrete vanity tops and custom made vanity bar light. The master has a queen bed and a TV. The master bath has a two headed shower and also has concrete tops with custom lighting. The cabin, while secluded, has all the modern features to stay connected. High speed wifi, land line, cable TV and 60" HD TV with apps to access all your favorite streaming. There are many trails to hike in this property. It is just 4 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I booked this property for my friend’s bachelorette party and could not have asked for a better place to stay. Very secluded, so didn’t feel bad playing music outside yet only a 25 min drive to downtown Asheville. Mike was very responsive, not to mention owns a party bus that we rented for a bit on Saturday!

If you’re considering booking this cabin for a bachelorette or bachelor party, friends’ weekend, or family gathering do not hesitate! We had a blast here on my bachelorette weekend. The cabin is gorgeous and on a lot of land so you don’t have to worry about staying out late in the hot tub hanging with your girlfriends. The host, Michael, made our trip and we would have been lost without him! He served as our personal tour guide and helped us out with transportation in his party bus named Hank. The cabin is close enough to Asheville to enjoy that scene but far enough that you can have some privacy with your group. Stay here!

The absolute best retreat experience!
I’m a director on a college campus and I brought my staff for a retreat. First, the cabin itself is INCREDIBLE. It’s a beautiful balance between modern mid century and log cabin vibes. It is quiet outside of the stream you can hear. Very secluded. Perfect place to bring a group/family.
In addition, Michael is without question the best host I’ve ever encountered. He went of his way of being thoughtful from black towels for make up removal, yard games, and you absolutely HAVE to take his party bus into town. Michael is also an original Asheville local, and hearing his stories about the growth of the community was intriguing. He’s a super kind man. My staff LOVED every second.
The only note I have is that the driveway is pretty windy, so be prepared. That said, my wife’s Honda Civic handled it fine in a spring month.
Other than that, have a blast. And leave a note on the wall!

Beautiful Property and Incredible Host
We chose this property for my bachelorette party based off the number of five star reviews - but Michael exceeded every expectation. The property is beautiful, with a great view, fire pit, and hot tub. But Michael is the true gem of this property. He set up a fire for us, took us downtown on his party bus (not to be missed - ask about this because it was incredibly fun!), and took us to his favorite brewery. He was quick to respond to questions and his love for Asheville and his property is evident. We are already planning a trip back to Asheville and will never stay with anyone else. Thank you Michael!!

Clean. Secluded. Everything as pictured. One level with maybe 3 steps to get into the house. Large flat front and side yards. Firepit, with wood and chairs. Exceeded our expectations. We will return for sure!

Incredible
Our stay was absolutely incredible. The location is amazing (15-20 min to downtown) and the views are unbelievable. It is a true oasis in the mountains - clean, spacious, and relaxing. We had a group of 12 gals stay here and everyone was RAVING about how comfortable the mattresses were and how incredible the double shower head was. Michael was probably the best host we have experienced on VRBO. He drove our group downtown on his bus and brought us back (an hour earlier than we originally planned due to rain). He even helped one of the girls repair her flat tire for the road home. Over and above. Cannot say enough kind things. We will certainly be coming back! Thanks for an amazing stay!

Great place to stay for a girls weekend!
The Cabin was very clean and accommodating with an open floor plan which was perfect for hanging out and relaxing with the whole crew. The property manager was very nice, super helpful and responsive. The hot tub and fire pit were AWESOME! Highly recommend for your next mountain getaway!

Perfect trip!
I honestly don’t know where to begin! We had an amazing trip for so many reasons. It was the perfect spot to stay for my sister’s bachelorette party. The views were beautiful as was the house itself. Michael was literally so easy to communicate with and was the perfect host. We needed a getaway trip and we are all so happy that we chose to stay here. Highly recommend!!! Michael has a party bus that he can bring you into town and home in and it seriously made the trip so much fun/easier when it came to transportation. He even lit the fire for us on our last night which was so nice to hang out around. The hot tub was perfect and the beds were comfortable. There are hiking spots not too far from the house with stunning outlook views and a cute little country store (the best homemade salsas). Wish we could go back! Thanks again!!

Great place to social distance
We had a wonderful weekend away with our two kids. The place was perfect for what we needed. The hot tub and fire pit were huge hits with our kids. There was plenty of room for us, and they even did remote learning from there, while my husband and I worked, so great WiFi! Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway which lead us to several hikes. The owner was so helpful and easy to communicate with.

Excellent cabin in great location
Mike is a great host with a wonderful property located central to many highlights of the Pisgah Forest area. The cabin was immaculate and updated with plenty of room and comforts. The location is only 8 miles (and a fun drive) to the Pisgah Mountain trailhead. We did several Blue Ridge Parkway hikes and the kids fished the nearby streams. If you want a great place to stay to enjoy the beautiful Asheville area, stay here!

Our Best Christmas Ever!
I rented this property for myself, 3 adult children and grandson. It was centrally located for us to gather. The place was perfect. I had brought along a small Christmas tree and decorations and it was very festive by the time we finished setting it up. There was plenty of space for us to enjoy our time together. The house was very clean and the beds were all comfortable. We made day trips to Biltmore, Blue Ridge Parkway and came upon a quaint town in Transylvania County. The cabin is deep in the woods, very secluded and quiet but still close to grocery stores and gas stations. We were very lucky with the weather as it was in the upper 60's all week. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and toasting marshmallows. There was plenty of cooking utensils and my son and daughter made us all a big Christmas morning breakfast. I would rent the cabin again, we had our best Christmas ever while there.

Bachelorette Weekend
The property was beautiful! The cabin was a great size and very comfortable for our group of 10, so much so that mid-20's girls opted to spend the second night at the cabin hanging out in the hot tub instead of going out. Michael offered advice on places to go/things to see and made it clear we could contact him with any questions.
The cabin felt very secluded but was only about a 30 minute drive to downtown Asheville. We loved it!

Celebrated a bachelorette weekend in this beautiful secluded cabin! Michael went above and beyond during the entire process, including taking/picking us up downtown in his awesome party bus! I will definitely be visiting and staying at one of Michael’s property’s again.

MUST STAY - in Asheville
What an amazing spot to spend a weekend away with friends. Not only could the 12 of us all sleep comfortably here in this house, but it was even better than expected. It has a spacious living and dining area to enjoy with friends and the amenities of the grill, hot tub, and fire pit are a perfect addition. If going to the bars downtown - definitely ask Michael about his party bus because for $60 each way, that was MORE than worth it. Thanks again for such a great stay - we hope to come back one day! Also - it is about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, but it is really close to the parkway and hiking! Worth the drive in and back each time.

A true Asheville experience!
Our group of 12 ABSOLUTELY loved this cabin for a bachelorette trip... it was perfect in every way possible. We were impressed with the online listing when booking but experiencing the cabin for ourselves far exceeded our expectations. The property was beautiful, enchanting, and the views of the surrounding mountains made for a stunning setting. Luckily for us we had peak fall colors and were just a short drive away from some amazing hikes off the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin was well decorated, very clean, and has everything you need to feel right at home. It was easy to find and the check-in and check-out processes were hassle-free. It was a quick 20-30 min ride to downtown Asheville which we enjoyed because of the party bus that is available to guests and other rides from the generous host. One of the highlights of our trip was meeting Mike who treated us like family, gave us recommendations, and was always quick to respond to questions we had. It was way cool to hear the story of how he renovated the cabin himself and get a true insider's view of Asheville. We will DEFINITELY be back. Thank you for everything, Mike!!!

A wonderful weekend getaway!
13 of us travel in from all over to have a weekend getaway bachelor party. This cabin was perfect! Spacious, remote, clean, modern. The only downside was that it rained for most of the weekend, so we didn't get a chance to use the hot tub!
10/10, would definitely recommend if you're looking for something a bit further away from downtown Asheville in a more remote location.

Great location for group trip
This cabin was the perfect venue for a bachelor party, or any friend or family gathering for that matter. The property offers ample seclusion and the cabin has updated furnishings that lead to a comfortable, stress-free stay. The best part about this property is how responsive and helpful the host is. Michael offered responses to both Vrbo messages and texts within minutes. He made sure we had all the information we needed to make our trip a success, including recommendations for local attractions. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here for your experience in Asheville.

We had my best friends bachelorette party here and it was nothing short of perfect! Hidden away in the wilderness but with all the amenities one needs. Amazing vibes. AND Michael offers a party bus ride to and from town! Which ended up being the best highlight of the trip. We will be back for sure!

Perfect Cabin Bachelorette Weekend
I couldn't have asked for a better experience renting! Mike was a literal angel. He came to pick us up in "Hank the Tank" on Saturday night and before we loaded up he took group pictures for us like a champ. All the girls loved him and the party bus experience.
He drove us into downtown Asheville and the plan was for him to pick us up later that night before midnight. When we were wrapping up at dinner, one of the girls realized she had forgotten her wallet in the cabin with her credit card and ID. I kid you not— we texted Mike about it (this was at least 2 hours after he'd dropped us off) and he graciously went to the cabin to find her bag, grabbed her wallet, then drove BACK downtown to bring it to us. He was SO kind about the whole thing and acted as if it wasn't an inconvenience at all. He even let us stay out past his midnight policy. I still can't get over it!
The cabin was a dream. It had everything we needed and more. It was clean and organized and beautiful. Beforehand I had messaged back and forth with Mike about hike recommendations and he suggested Mt. Pisgah. We ended up doing the hike Saturday morning and it was perfect—not too long and definitely a workout. We even missed the rain!
Our whole group (eleven girls) still can't stop talking about Mike and how wonderful the weekend was. I'm so grateful! As MOH, it can be stressful thinking about planning a bachelorette weekend, but Mike made the experience a delight.
We all can't wait to come back and rent from Mike again! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Must stay!!!
This property exceeded my expectations. Starting with the property owner, Michael. He swiftly responded to all questions and inquires regarding the house and the area. We were there for a bachelorette party, and the space was perfect for it. What topped off our weekend was having massage therapists give massages outside. So serene! Michael was even kind enough to give the remaining guests a ride to the airport. I'd definitely book again!

It's hard to find a nice place close to Asheville and enjoy the scenery. This was absolutely perfect for 12 girls. We didn't want a log cabin but we also didn't want a loft in the city. It was perfectly modern inside with a gorgeous view of the mountains outside. This house fit us all perfectly and the drive to this house was beautiful and secluded. Loved the fire pit and hot tub as well. A great weekend away we'll be sure to do again.

I rented this cabin for my cousin's bachelorette party and LOVED it. The cabin looks just like the pictures, and is decorated adorably. The beds are very comfortable and the cabin is equipped with everything you need. If there is something you do need, Michael is very accommodating. The property is beautiful and tucked away in the mountains, I WILL be back!

We loved this place. It was clean, beautiful, perfectly located between Downtown Asheville and some great hikes. Michael was a responsive, friendly, and helpful host. There was plenty of space, great entertainment equipment and games, and we were able to make good use of the firepit, hot tub, and gas grill. We would definitely stay here again!

This house is beautiful inside and out, with an equally comparable view. The beds, linens, furnishing, and supplies are all new, clean, and comfortable. It was a quick drive into Asheville but seemed like a world away at the house. The highlights were the well-appointed kitchen, hot tub, open floor plan, and comfy beds. The owner has provided everything you and your group could want for a wonderful trip. Can't recommend this house enough!

This place is awesome! My friends and I had a great time this past weekend in Asheville. First of all, this property and the owner are first class. The house is newly renovated and has a lot of nice touches. The property has several trails if you are one for hiking. And all of this just a 30 minute Uber from downtown Asheville. Couldn't recommend it highly enough!

We loved this house! It was perfect for our group of 7 ladies. We were all comfortable and appreciated the outdoor table and hot tub with views. The inside furniture and layout was great for a group! It was very secluded up a long winding driveway which was exactly what we wanted. Michael was helpful and available for any questions.
