The luxury apartment of 231 m2 (interior) is situated on the ground floor in block 6, 1st line beach at the prestigious Sotogrande at Cap Cana and unfolds facing the beautiful crystal blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, bordering the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course Las Iguanas and just a short distance from the marina. The apartment has 3 en-suite bedrooms all with sea vieuws, a separate guest toilet, fully equipped kitchen, separate A/C in each room and sleeps up to 8 people, but can be used also as a 1 bedroom, two bedroom or 3 bedroom apartment, because of the connecting door between the Lock-out Apartment and the two bedroom Apartment. We LOVED LOVED this condo. Fantastic communication from Angela.The condo was even better than we thought.Totally massive and perfect for our family. 3 large bedrooms EACH with its own ensuite bathroom PLUS an additional small bathroom. These are the MOST comfortable beds I've ever slept in in a VRBO. All the amenities you need in the kitchen. Smart TV's in every bedroom and family room Comfortable couches in living room. All bedrooms and living spaces have large patio doors to the MASSIVE private ground floor terrace. And let me tell you, you cannot beat this terrace. This is where we spent much of our time: comfortable couches, loungers, hammock and a private large hot tub. It gets better. Built in bluetooth speakers in the terrace (as well as bedroom and family room) that you can easily connect your devices to. The favourite family spot. Great massive pool right there a few steps off your terrace. Beach on site is nice but water is shallow and bit rocky so not best for swimming. Juanillo beach is a short 5-7 minute golf cart ride. Perfect beach spot. Also API beach at marina is FANTASTIC but it's a beach club so you have to pay. We booked again before we left. It was one of the most relaxing trips we've ever had. Kids were sad to leave. It really became our home in a short span of time. With a golf cart is was fun to explore Cap Cana and the different beaches. SOO much value in this condo. I miss it already.

Firstly, our communication with the host was good. She was helpful in coordinating a transfer to and from the airport. She was ready and willing to help despite being located in a different time zone. The condo was spacious and clean. The kitchen needs a deep cleaning, organization and maintenance. The microwave light and vent were broken, the Nespresso machine was not functional and the freezer door was broken. The lighting in the kitchen was inadequate. There was no laundry detergent or dishwashing machine soap provided. The gas grill was dirty, corroded and non-functional. The clothes washers were moldy and full of sand.The pool on the property was clean, but the structure was not well maintained. The main reason we chose this listing was for the as advertised hot tub. The resort hot tubs were empty and the condo hot tub was cold. The host assured us the hot tub heater was in working order but it remained cold the entire stay, despite several maintenance visits. Lastly, the resort property was in disrepair with constant construction noises (jack hammers, power tools) interfering with our ability to enjoy the outside, including the beach. We were not informed of any construction issues prior to arrival. Overall, our stay was disappointing and we would have chosen a different location.

All we wanted and more!

The apartment and services in connection with our rental were great! The owner was very attentive to our questions and special requests and very much helped to make our stay very pleasant and enjoyable. The housekeeper she provided even fixed a few meals for us that were delicious. One issue with the Sotogrande properties in general though was that some of the facilities on the grounds were not fully operational. For instance, the large swimming pool in the center of the property was open and maintained during or stay, but the jacuzzis alongside the pool, as well as the bar at one end of the pool were not. Also, we appeared to be almost the only folks staying at the resort during our time there, and quite a lot of the resort seemed be somewhat under repair, perhaps from the hurricane that impacted the coastline last fall. I suspect that the owner may have discounted the rental for the time being as a result, as the rate did seem to be a bit of a bargain. In any case, we did fully enjoy our stay, and particularly enjoyed getting out and about in the Cap Cana and Punta Cana environs and enjoying the wonderful tropical weather at the beaches and elsewhere. We look forward to returning again!!

Took my wife, sons and their girlfriends. Best decision to stay at Sotogrande Cap Cana. Our host, her accommodations, the island, the people made us feel at home. Best vacation ever!!! We will be back!!

Couldn't Ask For More!
Everything about our stay was wonderful, beyond my imagination! The location of the property and its comfort, its proximity to the beach and pool, the helpfulness of the owner, Angela, as well as the Sotogrande concierge were all very positive. The restaurant recommendations were spot-on; we tried a different one every night. We had a wonderful time going from the shade of the patio to the sun at pool and the beach. We definitely want to return next year. Thank you, Angela, for providing us with a wonderful place to stay; it was perfect!

It had EVERYTHING. Even beach hats, massage table, jacuzzi, grill, beach towels, music system, walking out to beach setting, quiet, private, excellent maid service, amenities, recommendations for restaurants, fun things to do around. There is nothing we didn’t like. Beach is small and had algae, but nice beach
for walking just around the corner. Beautiful Marina nearby. Also, big, I mean big swimming pool.

Beautiful and cozy property!
The apartment is very cozy, we were with family. My children and my husband really enjoyed it, the view of the pool and the beach. Ana's attention during our stay and its owner before arriving and after leaving the best. A lot of communication between us. I hope in our next vacation to visit again

Loved the outside patio area. Beautiful scenery! The mattresses are a little hard. Anna who takes care of the place is wonderful. Angela is very responsive. If you are looking for a secluded spot away from everything, this is your spot!

The condo was very nice and clean. Since it was storm season it was virtually empty which we loved because it was like having your own private resort. Angela was great to work with and Ana the maid was excellent. The security process seems slightly over the top but every other aspect was fine.

Great Apartment but check the Seaweed problem No beach
Excellent apartment ubication, great extra service with Ana , beautiful beach decorations with everything you need for relaxing vacation and a plus with the out door hot tub. Unfortunately the beach was close due the seaweed problem we have to drive almost 45 min to Macao to enjoy a beautiful bech.
Angela the best owner !! She was always ready to answer any question , also she gave us the best recomendations (excursions, restaurants etc )

The House was really nice but the condo facilities were not as nice as we expected. People that worked there were really nice. The place was a ghost town and the food and drinks there were terrible.

Beautiful Beach-Side Condo
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely condo. The location within the complex is perfect - just steps from the beach and pool. The property is a bit remote, but that meant it was quiet and not crowded. There is a spacious pool with a swim-up bar and cafe and the staff is very friendly. The unit itself is large, open and nicely furnished. The housekeeper Ana made sure it was tidy each day and helped with basic food preparation, which is a nice touch. Angela's recommendations for restaurants and activities were very helpful - our favorite was the excursion to the private island. Thank you for sharing your home!

Great Family Location
We have a family of 6 with 4 young kids and the condo was perfect for a very relaxing stay. The pool was amazing and we had it to ourselves almost the entire time. The condo was clean and large with a very nice and spacious patio. We rented a car and made a few day trips to see dolphins and monkeys. Only very minor downside was that the food on property was not great, but Juanillo Beach was only 5 minutes away and there was a great bar/restaurant that the kids loved. Anna also helped to keep the place very clean so we could enjoy our time playing. I would recommend this to anyone or family looking for a very relaxing and convenient trip.

Amazing Property!
Just returned from a 10 day stay in Angela’s condo. We had four adults and two young kids.
The condo was absolutely perfect for our family. Proximity to the pool is steps from the terrace, the terrace beautiful with outdoor living room and full dining table.
The hot tub is a beautiful bonus on the terrace!
Ana was so lovely and took such good care of us. The children loved her fresh fruit platters every day!
Worth noting you will have a fabulous nights sleep as the beds are very comfortable!
Angela was very prompt with all requests and was so helpful with all her suggestions for restaurants and activities in the area.
We have already requested next years dates!!

Fabulous stay at a wonderful property!
My family and I just enjoyed a wonderful vacation at Angela's property over the Christmas and New Year holidays. We spent nine days in Cap Cana and it was great from beginning to end. The location of this apartment is priceless! One of the things we enjoyed the most was waking up to the view of the beach and the pool at our fingertips. The apartment is furnished beautifully and we spent a lot of time there given it was just so comfortable. The jacuzzi, which is very large, almost like a mini pool was a hit. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our vacation, we actually were considering extending our stay because we didn't want to leave. Thank you Angela for allowing us to enjoy your home. I would go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anybody who is considering a relaxing vacation and seamless experience.

We had the most amazing time in Cap Cana, thanks very much to Angela! Her apartment is in the prime location, the best spot in the entire compound. The view is incredible and we love the fact that we can see our kids playing at the pool but still have the privacy. We also love the peacefulness and quietness. With two toddlers, our au pair, my mom, hubby and me - this place fits our overall needs and is suitable for everyone of us!
The booking process was seamless, Angela was very patient and prompt in responding to our questions. Once we arrived at the apartment, we were greeted by Anna, the housekeeper who then spoiled us during our stay. The apartment is clean, spacious and well maintained. Anna even put on the Christmas tree for us – how thoughtful!
We simply couldn’t ask for anything more for our one-week there. We travel a lot as a family and this place now definitely has a special place in our hearts. We are already looking at dates to go back again~

PERF family vaycay
Angela's condo was the perfect location for our family of 5 with 3 young adults. The description and photos are correct. She has lovely taste and provides the amenities you would have at a resort: bathrobes, soaps, pool towels, etc. It is spacious and well appointed allowing the 17 year old to have his own space, for once, while the 20 something girls could juggle working remotely with pool, beach and adventure activities. Ana, the housekeeper, made it all work! It took some organizing with regard to planning and food shopping but allowed us to eat-in for most meals. Admittedly I was a bit hesitant about wiring money off as payment but Angela graciously allowed me to contact 2 former renters and they provided the assurances we needed. The location is remote relative to restaurants and even a coffee shop so you need a car. There is a restaurant on property but we never tried it. The beach has a barrier coral wall so it is not open water for swimming- more like a small pond. You can drive to the adjacent beach to get to the open water. Angela helped us arrange a day excursion to PlayaTao and golf and her on- property assistant set us up with ScapePark for zip lining and a hike and dinner reservations. They were all very accommodating and helpful. It was voted the BEST vaycay and my family preferred it to a resort - they liked the flexibility and freedom. As noted by other reviewers, this is not a 'hip and happening' location. That was appealing to us but might not work for others based on the ages of the children. There were a few other people at the pool but mostly it is quiet. The pool staff was very pleasant. Thanks to Angela and Ana who made this a vaycay to top the charts.

Lovely and Convenient
We were very impressed with this home! It was spacious and beautifully decorated with all of the conveniences. We all enjoyed the patio with the comfortable couches, the Jacuzzi and the view. The complex is very quiet and peaceful. We had a short drive to Cap Cana Marina for great dinners. Just a little farther was Punta Cana Village with a full grocery and drug stores and really great restaurants. We would most definitely recommend! The property manager was helpful and reliable, and Anna, the housekeeper, very accommodating and sweet.

Stunning to say the least!
Cap Cana is just beautiful Hands down! We took the condo and the lock out apartment for 10 days. It is absolutely beautiful. Very modern, clean, beautiful furniture and very well kept. With this unit being on ground level it was so simple to walk out to the pool (which was foot steps from the patio) and the beach which is just foot steps from the pool. Every morning I would make my coffee and sit on the patio and enjoy the beautiful view and solitude of the property. Communication was perfect with Angela. Always answering all of our questions right away and being super helpful with tips etc. Having her Manager grocery shop for our family before we arrived was also a nice treat. Her manager informed us of all the great dinner spots and activities/ beaches to go to in the DR. I do have to say thanks to the great advise of her manager we found the most beautiful beach, Macau Beach. A half hour drive via highway to fresh grilled fish on the beach with the true hospitality of the Dominican people. Also, one of the best snorkel excursions we have been on was the Semi-Private tour on the Catamaran Teresa. Well worth the money and such a fun time. We will definitely return. This unit is the best in Soto Grande. Its location and convenience of being ground level is superb.
We did have a cold hot tub on the patio as the heater went out. Angela was in close communication with me about this and was out of her control. It was ok because it was fine to take a cold water dip after being in the sun for the day.

Wonderful Apartment
We had a very good stay at the apartment. Angela was great to deal with and everything she promised was exactly as discussed. I was a bit nervous renting the unit internationally, but Angela was extremely professional and made sure all the preparations were well organized.
The unit is great for families and was actually better than we expected. Ana did a very good job taking care of us. The only downside, or upside depending on your outlook, was how quiet the resort was and the distances to other activities if you didn't have a car. (This is the only reason we suggested 4 stars... If you want to relax by the pool for a week, this is an excellent choice). We had the pool (which is wonderful) and beach to ourselves, which the kids found amazing. I would suggest a rental car if you want to get around and do ziplining, snorkeling, golfing, etc. The driving is easy and the roads are excellent around Punta Cana and Bavaro.

Beautiful property.
This condo is fantastic. The pictures online are a very accurate portrayal of the unit. In fact, they don't really do it justice with how gloriously close it is to the pool and beach. While the complex is on the quiet side, our young adult sons still found places to have some fun. It was great having Ana come in daily to tidy up...that made it a true vacation. The manager helped arrange transportation to and from airport, and was on hand to answer any questions. Great experience...we'd definitely go back.

WOW!!!!!
Wonderful location, very quiet and comfortable. We stayed here for a week with our 4 teenagers and it was perfect. Location of the condo is perfect looking at the pool and beach. The maid Ana is amazingly nice, one reccomendation wold be to download a translator app on your phone to help communicate with her as she speaks very little english but does everything she can to figure out what you need. Have them do groceries for you before you arrive then ask Ana to make breakfast and lunch items. She also will make you a nice dinner from her recipe book if you give her a little notice. The condo has wifi and a great sound system that you can listen inside and outside. Another wonderful feature is the power wind/sun shades on the terrace and the power blinds for the bedrooms. Very convenient just push a button and you have privacy. I recommend renting a car "Just don't rent from Thrifty they are crooks t this location". Go to Juanillo beach, just 5 minutes away and also visit La Palapa at Eden Rock for a high end meal in a beautiful location for reasonable price. During the day at the resort they have two very fun guys that are running activities, Red Bull and Marvin. They are a blast and will go out of there way to have fun and keep you busy. I found Punta Cana village to be very nice and safe, there are a nice variety of eateries and a fully stocked grocery store. the village is only a 10 minute ride away. Lastly, the owner is great. She is always great at communicating and doing whatever it takes to make your stay enjoyable. Just remember when contacting her she is in Spain I think and sometimes it takes her a day to get back to you because of the time difference. Cap Cana and Sotogrande are great and I would recommend to anyone. have a great trip!

Loved Every Minute
I would love to keep this location a well-guarded secret but not fair to others looking for an amazing vacation spot. The small private beach is beautiful, steps from the apartment and protected by a breakwater to keep the waves at a minimum. It creates an ocean sanctuary. We used the hot tub daily, especially in the evenings where we could look up and see the stars. The apartment and patio were nicely furnished, modern, clean and incredibly comfortable with all the amenities. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed most of our evening meals on the patio with no bugs to pester us. With a wonderful grocery store only 10 minutes away it was a breeze to prepare simple meals. A BBQ was also provided. Perfect. We also can’t say enough about the Punta Espada golf course...magnificent! Our only inconvenience was a lack of hot water beyond one shower...whoever had the second shower got luke-warm water at best. Overall...it was fantastic and we would definitely rent it again!

Great Accomodations
The place was gorgeous, beautiful furnishing and great location. I would rate the accommodations a 5 *. Our daily helper was fantastic, she cleaned the place daily(made the bed, did the dishes etc) and that was a nice treat. Verbal communication was hard, since we did not speak Spanish. For me, it was more on the quiet side than I would like, not a lot of people at the resort. If you like that, it is the place for you. I wished it was a little busier.
Beach was pretty. The water was also pretty but you have to walk on a lot of corals/rocks before you get to the sandy section so I did not participate but my family members did.
We ate dinner one night in the resort, the service was slow(considering there was practically noone maybe one other family member in the restaurant and it took a good 45 mins to get served). The food was ok, we did not eat again at the resorts.
Angela's place is gorgeous, no complaints there.
Warning-alot of mosquitos.
