Enjoy your stay @ 1st Street Retreat, a newly updated DOG FRIENDLY open concept studio apartment with private entrance and fenced in yard. Location is 1 block to the beach and walking distance to all your favorite restaurants like the famous Taco Shop right on the corner, Mango Mangos, Beach Comber, Café Eleven, Sunset Grille, Salt Life and the best ice cream in town Cone Heads.

Get in the car and take a quick 7 minute car ride to historic downtown and enjoy all it has to offer.

The outside retreat consists of outdoor shower which is great after a day at the beach with your dog, Propane BBQ, table and chairs, a propane fire pit for those cool relaxing evenings which goes perfect with a glass of wine.
We also provide beach chairs, beach towels, and beach cart.

Inside you will enjoy the beach feel of the open concept apartment with free wireless internet, Smart TV for streaming. Dog friendly floors, King size bed, kitchen with stainless steel appliances which consist of oven, microwave, Keurig coffee machine, toaster oven, blender, dishes, cups, bowls, silverware etc. Bathroom with walk in shower and all amenities you need.

We allow up to 2 dogs, there is a dog fee of $75.00

We had an amazing time with our two small dogs staying at Lisa's lovely flat. It was perfect, especially with the small side yard for our dogs. The home itself is spacious and well kept. We had everything we could need already stocked in the kitchen. And we also got to host some family staying in St. Augustine in the backyard. The grill and space were perfect for a small cookout and it was wonderful to spend the extra time with family. Lisa is also a fabulous host. She shared some great tips and recommended River And Fort for dinner. We ate there on our last night with our family and wow! The food and service were incredible. It was a fantastic recommendation. We also ate at Beachcomber, Kookaburra, and Burrito Works Taco Shop. All three are within a short walking distance and had incredible food. The home is also a short walk to the beach, making it easy to come home as needed. Lisa also provided a beach cart for our beach chairs and other items which was incredibly helpful. We're already looking forward to our next stay.

This studio apartment had everything you would need. Great location and extremely dog friendly. Lisa has thought of everything that you and your four-legged friends could possibly need. The apartment was clean and the backyard was our favorite place to hang out. Everything was kept extremely clean and neat… Very impressed! We will definitely be returning to this studio apartment.

We love the accommodations and have come for several years. Dog friendly with huge back yard and dog lawn to boot! Lisa, our host, is friendly and very thoughtful in details. We look forward to coming again next year with our fur baby!

Super clean. Fabulous, spacious studio. Fully stocked with everything you would need and more. Fenced in yard with grassy area for the pup. Beautiful large patio with grill and firepit. Right across the street from the beach and very close to some great little restaurants, burrito works being our favorite! Easy little ride to downtown st augustine. Lisa and Tony fabulous hosts, very helpful and non intrusive. If you are bringing a pup don't look any farther than 1st St retreat. Every one will be happy!

Location couldn't be better... Such a short walk to the beach, which is exactly what I was looking for! Also very close to many restaurants and bars for quick drinks and eats! The dogs truly loved the fenced in backyard and grass area. The simple kitchen was well stocked and the grill outside made cooking our own meals super easy! Communication with Lisa was easy and quick! Thank you for maintaining this adorable pet friendly beach house, it truly made my birthday trip that much more memorable!!

Wonderful pet friendly unit close to restaurants and beach. Lisa and Tony provide you with everything you need for a relaxing stay. I highly recommend this unit for a couple traveling with their dog.

We winter in Port Charlotte and decided we needed to explore more of Florida. We booked our stay at 1st Street Retreat with the idea to bring our dog with. We were very pleased with everything. The location was great, with a short walk to the beach. Plenty of options in the area for food and libation. The property was awesome with everything you needed for a couple and their dog. St Augustine was nice and worth the visit. Some interesting history to learn. Don't forget to drive south on A1A to see the rest of the coast. We'll be back someday and this will be where we lay our heads at night.

This was our 3rd stay at this location. Lisa and Tony are excellent hosts. We normally come down for the Christmas lights downtown St. Augustine and do some shopping. It’s a 3 minute walk to the beach and a 30 second walk to the best burrito shop on the island. It is definitely pet friendly - we have a blind dachshund that easily adapted to both inside and outside areas. The outside patio area is totally fenced in with a grassy area for our puppy. We have nothing but good things to say about the hosts and our stay. We plan on returning.

Absolutely beautiful. Perfect location right by the beach and just minutes to the historic district and lighthouse. Completely dog friendly. Gated back yard and dog run. We will definitely be back!

We came down to St. Augustine Beach from South Carolina for a long weekend with our Great Dane. The house is perfectly located just two blocks from the beach and is safe and private. Walking distance to great food and coffee is a plus as well! It is a perfect studio for two people and has enough room for the pooch too. We would absolutely recommend and will likely return!!

This property was a block of a great spot on the beach. Easy beach access and not nearly as crowded as the northern parts of the beach. The studio apartment was clean and had everything we needed. If you like to dine out bring good walking shows. There are a lot of great restaurants within walking distance, but some of the best ones we found were at least 10 blocks away. Still and easy walk with sidewalks all the way up.

I put “little” in the title but this studio feels big! Everything has been included to make your stay comfortable and uncomplicated. The bed is very good and the shower is fantastic…two really important things in my opinion. If you’re traveling with your pups, the fenced in back is great for them and also great for you. Lisa and Tony are easy to work with and respond quickly to any question or concern. I look forward to staying with them again in any one of their rentals.

This place is just perfect! Perfect size, perfect location, perfect backyard to hangout in. I loved this place. I have a 17yr old dog that I can’t leave anywhere anymore. She did perfect in this place. We loved the space, how easy and close it was to the beach. Taco spot across the street-delicious!!! BBQ and bar, good and convenient, coffee all in walking distance. Park your car and never use it again until you leave. Preloaded snack drinks and coffee in unit!! Linens are provided!! Lisa and Tony are amazing!! Oh they have all of your beach gear ready for you. Finced in yard is amazing and dog run. Very clean.

Super clean, great location, wonderful hosts who were extremely welcoming. We had a great time exploring the area and walking the beach with our dogs. Loved the enclosed patio area to spend time relaxing and hanging with our dogs. Loved that it is walking distance to many restaurants and bars. We hope to return and stay here again.

Superlative pet friendly accommodations. Courtyard for my dog to roam to include a grass strip for potty trips. Nicely updated suite with comfortable bed and couch for lounging. Bath is updated with nice tile and pebbled flooring. Keurig with lots of coffee and bottled water in the fridge are nice touches. Nice owners on site for advice. Short walk to the pet friendly beach and restaurants. It was perfect for me and my dog. I certainly hope to see y'all again for maybe a longer stay.

Really enjoyed the long New Years weekend in the beach studio. Convenient (walking) to beach restaurants & bars, DOG friendly fenced in private yard with fire pit & bbq grill. Lisa, the host, is friendly & accommodating. Highly recommend!

The property was wonderful to stay at. My wife and I decided to come out for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and baby moon. The property is in an excellent location close to a few very good restaurants. Getting to the beach is super easy and getting to downtown St Augustine was also quick and easy as well. The outdoor area was great even though we didn't utilize it like we had anticipated but we also were out and about every day. Highly recommended property and owner.

The studio was very clean with excellent amenities. The owners have thought of everything for travelers with pups. Location was fantastic for beach access, and eateries within just a few steps. The size of the studio was perfect for my husband, myself and doggo’s. It was great to know they were cool and safe when we needed to go out without them (we usually camp and don’t leave them by themselves), and the fenced yard was excellent! Thank you for the awesome stay, we are looking forward to returning another time!
