I highly recommend this place. My family and I had a great time staying at Steve's place. The apartment was nicely decorated and located in a main street of Ipanema with a beautiful beach view. As a host, Steve was very kind and understanding to handle delays in our arrival. We will stay there again.

We had a wonderful week at Steve’s apartment in Ipanema. It is in a safe location close to everything: grocery stores, awesome restaurants and of course a beautiful beach. 24hr security who were always attentive and ready to help. We are in love with Rio and would definitely stay again at his place.

The condo is perfectly situated on Ipanema beach. It has truly stunning views that exceeded my expectations. Whether it’s sunrise, sunset, or just during the day, you will feel like you are somewhere special, even if you just stay in and look out from the balcony or living room. The place was very clean. Beds and bedding were comfortable. Showers had good water pressure. The daily maid service was very nice. The wifi was very fast. The beach, stores, restaurants, etc, everything we needed was close by and very convenient. The host was friendly and helpful too. Our family had a great time staying here and would stay again without hesitation!

I took my family to tour Rio and see Taylor Swift. Steve (the property owner) went above and beyond and our trip was amazing. He answered all my questions and even organized a private driver for the concert. He is a great host and his property location is the best in Rio! Highly recommend!!

3 adult family members and I stayed for one week at Steve's place and it was in every respect phenomenal. The building is impeccable with a gorgeous rooftop pool. The apartment is spacious with an enormous terrace floating 9 floors above the beach and with an unobstructed view of Two Brothers mountains at the far end of the beach. I felt like being in Steve's apartment was the best view in town! Steve as a host was attentive and always available via phone or text/email. He made sure we had the perfect family stay. I would definitely recommned this VRBO without hesitation!!

If you're looking at the upper echelon of properties to stay in on the beach in Ipanema, look no further, this IS the place! I looked at places for months and finally settled on Steve's apartment. It is phenomenal! It's directly across the street from the beach between Posto 9 and 10, slightly closer to Posto 10. This is the best part of Ipanema! The area is very safe. You can walk to tons of great restaurants with 5 to 10 minutes. There is also a beach club right across the street for beach fun and great music. The building is very safe with excellent security guards 24hrs. Particularly appreciated the guard Alejandro, he was great! Communication with Steve was excellent. Easy and smooth check in. The apartment itself is even better than it looks in the photos. Very spacious and comfortable. Great air conditioning if you need it. There is daily cleaning service that knows to come in after you leave the apartment. He provides towels and linen for you. You don't need to bring anything with you (except for face cloths for showering which apparently are not part of Portuguese culture). Importantly he has multiple 110 power outlets so you don't need convertors if you are coming from the US or Canada! The apartment could not have been better and worth every dime. Would give my highest recommendation without reservation to rent Steve's apartment for a fun and safe trip to Rio. Will come right back here next time I'm in Rio.

This is a super property and located direct on Ipanema Beach. Views from the condo are exceptional as you get full view down beach toward the famous 2 brothers mountains.... Unit is clean and super comfortable.. highly recommend for sure and host is excellent and quick to respond and or help....

I can't say enough nice things about this apartment. Location and view are amazing. Steve, our host, was very responsive and friendly. Comfortable beds, great showers, fast wi-fi...and 100 foot walk to the beach! Our daily staff service was always friendly and so helpful. 24 hour reception desk so there's always someone available to assist...and free parking which is huge in Rio. 100 restaurants within a 10 block radius...for us, it was the perfect spot for our month long stay in Rio. We'll be back!

I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience I had in this property. I've stayed all over the world and this was at the top of the list. View second to none in the world as well as location in Ipanema near wonderful shops, restaurants and bars. Right between Posto 9 and 10 so central to everything. EXTREMELY CLEAN AND MODERN! My only regret is I dont own this property. To top it off, Steve was amazing and quick to answer questions. Best property in Ipanema, I'll be back but next time with my family. Thanks Steve!!!

Great apartment, secure building, wonderful location, and amazing view. Everything you'll need is provided, fast Wi-Fi, comfortable beds, excellent shower water pressure, all cooking and dining utensils, we wished we were staying longer after 10 days here. Ipanema is a very safe part of the city, friendly people, one tip: brush up your Portuguese, Spanish, or pantomime.

I have been in Rio sence 1971 and always rent a apartment, it's what you do in Rio if you stay more than a week. I have stayed in different location's in Rio, Flamengo, Leme, Copacabana and Ipanema. -Perfect location, Ipanema is outstanding, -People in the reception are very helpfull, -You feel safe, -The flat is spacious/roomy, -Kitchen is easy to work in, -2 bathroom which are good, -2 bedroom which are good, -Livingroom is nice and with a super view, -Balcony where you can have a nice breakfast and enjoy the folklore on the beach and street, -WIFI is perfect throughout the apartment, -Lot of restaurant around, -A big supermaket 2 blocks away, Zona Sul, -Close to the metro

We rented this property for 4 nights in June 2017. Views were spectacular, place is very comfortable, walking distance to restaurants and supermarket. Owner, Steve W was very helpful and his niece, who manages the property in Rio was prompt in answering our questions. There is some street noise at night but it can be solved by closing windows and turning on the air conditioner. Front desk was helpful as well.

We moved to Rio de Janeiro for worked reasons and stayed here for about two months. The owner was very helpful, I can't thank him enough for being such a great property owner. This property is amazing right across the beach and in an excellent location! Just two blocks from a supermarket and from the new metro station in Ipanema. There are plenty of nice restaurants in this area. Best location in Zona Sul. We are a family of four, two adults and two children and the apartment was great. It has comfortable beds, nice sheets, a kitchen equipped for cooking small meals. The building offers maid service everyday and great amenities. The concierge was always nice and helpful. The best thing was the great view I enjoyed while having my morning coffee. We're definitely missing this charming apartment and recommending it to family and friends.

We rented this apartment for the Rio Olympic games. Steve the owner was awesome to work with, from the initial contact, to advice on Rio itself. The location is superb, with the beach across the street, great restaurants, and everything within walking distance. The view is spectacular, the apartment well outfitted and spacious. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to visit Rio.

We loved our time in Rio in this great apartment right on the beach. We were close to great shopping and restaurants, and taxis were easy to find to head to Sugarloaf and Christ the Redeemer. Steve was so nice to work with and always responded quickly to any questions that I had. The apartment has everything that you could need, and it was nice to shop at the local markets for food and wine, etc. The balcony overlooks Ipanema Beach and we loved relaxing out there. The rooftop pool also offers spectacular views!

This property has a fantastic location directly across from Ipanema Beach. The views are incredible. The apartment is set up efficiently and we were very comfortable with two couples staying there. The owner is very responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is obviously fantastic, not only on Vieira Souto but also at the corner or Garcia d'Avila, for the me the best part of Ipanema and of Rio. The view from the flat is just breathtaking. The flat is nicely furnished and very confortable, nothing is missing. It is also very nice to have daily cleaning and also a restaurant working from 10am to 10pm. the food is not excellent but it is practical. I would definitely go back and will certainly recommend it to my friends.

Spectacular View!!

This apartment is right on Ipanema beach near Posto 9. The location and view are reason enough to stay here! It is owned by an American but his Brazilian niece manages it very nicely. She is a lovely woman who even brought us a breakfast basket to apologize for the floors being redone in the building during our stay. The building has a 24hour desk staff, rooftop pool with a small restaurant, and a workout room.
