About this apartment rental
We purchased this lovely ground floor garden view condo in April, 2013. We installed tile flooring throughout the unit. We have updated the kitchen, master bathroom and half bath with new cabinets and granite counter tops. This condominium has a large master bedroom with A/C. The master bedroom has an an en-suite master bath with a walk in shower. Our home also has a half bath for your convenience. Our spacious lanai is an excellent place to kick back and enjoy your morning coffee or romantic dinner. Poipu Sands is located directly next to the ocean near famous Shipwreck Beach and adjacent to the Kauai Grand Hyatt Resort and Spa. The Grand Hyatt resort offers lush tropical grounds, casual and fine dining as well as shops and entertainment. Shipwreck Beach, located in front of the Hyatt is usually sunny and less crowded than other Poipu Beaches. This is a beautiful beach to take a romantic evening stroll and is often used as the backdrop for wedding photos. Poipu Sands is located within the upscale Poipu Kai resort. The Poipu Kai development is located on 70 acres and extends from Poipu Beach to Shipwreck Beach. The resort is connected by a green belt that has beautiful garden paths winding through it. The Kiahuna Golf Course and the Poipu Bay Golf Course are both in very near proximity. The nearby tennis club offers both hard and soft surface courts. You may also enjoy a game of tennis on Poipu Sands private tennis court. Poipu Sands is the only complex within Poipu Kai that offers a private tennis court. Poipu Sands also offers a large seasonally heated private swimming pool. You also have access to an additional pool and hot tub just a short walk down the green belt path. Poipu Beach which has been ranked as one of the top beaches in the United States is just a short 10 minute walk from our unit along the pleasant Poipu Kai green belt. This beach has both a shallow area which is excellent for swimming with small children and a great snorkeling area as well. This is a favorite spot to see napping endangered monk seals and Hawaiian sea turtles. Old Koloa Town located less than five miles away is the site of the island's first sugar mill. Historic Old Koloa Town is a hub of picturesque shops, eateries, gift and souvenir emporiums. There are a variety of Luaus throughout Kauai including one at the Grand Hyatt Resort right next door. You may also enjoy a horse back ride along the Mahaulepu Coast line, renting a stand up paddle board to enjoy the ocean surf or dining at the large variety of nearby restaurants ranging from family fare to upscale and romantic. Take a lovely evening stroll along the green belt to Poipu Beach to enjoy the sunset then come home to enjoy dinner on your very own quiet and comfortable lanai.

We loved this property for its closeness to Shipwreck Beach. Everything that you could think of was supplied by the owner. The only issue I had was operating the TV! The 2 remotes were confusing to this older lady. Following the instructions left by the owner didn't always work, but then who watches that much TV when you are vacationing in paradise. I highly recommend this property!

First time on an island Hawaii! Kaua’i is Stunning ! The condo very clean, the bed very comfortable, quiet, and so relaxing ! 10/10 recommended, we can’t wait to book our next trip in this fabulous condo again!

We loved everything about this condo. From the moment we walked in and were welcomed by sounds of Hawaii, we felt at home. Sparkly clean and spacious, with everything you need within walking distance. Grab the provided beach chairs and umbrella and head to either Poipu or Shipwreck Beach! Hike the Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail that begins at Shipwreck Beach for stunning views. Walk the path through Poipu Kai Resort from Shipwreck Beach (in front of Grand Hyatt) to Brennecke's Beach to watch sea turtles come up for their nighttime rest. Enjoy a relaxing day at the Grand Hyatt pool and lagoon via Resort Pass or simply lounge in the comfy outdoor chairs listening to the sounds of the ocean. All of the amenities in the condo and on the grounds were well cared for and it is obvious Kathy & Bob take great pride in making sure you enjoy your stay. Kathy got right back to us when we reached out and was so helpful. We stayed here for 5 nights in May to celebrate our 35th anniversary and hope to be back for our 40th and beyond!

Went to Waikiki for a wedding then decided to come to Kauai for the first time. The condo was a perfect place to use as a home base to see all the sights and to relax. I loved the location next to the Grand Hyatt so there were many scenic walking areas.

Very nice property. We especially enjoyed the size and layout of the rooms. A big advantage for us was having the spacious main bathroom and a powder room. The kitchen was well appointed and stocked with paper products and soaps, detergents and scrubbies. Having the laundry in the unit was very convenient as well.
I contacted the owner(s) with minor questions during our stay and the always responded within minutes. Definitely will stay here again.

We loved staying in this updated unit that had everything we wanted! The beach was just steps away and we could walk to our anniversary dinner at Tidepools at the Grand Hyatt. Great location to get to many fun activities on the island.

Perfect place to stay! Lots of room and very very well stocked. My now husband and I stayed there for 8 nights and got married just down the beach at shipwrecks beach. It was perfect! Perfect place to walk to the cliff and watch the sunrise. We really hope to come back one day!

We had a lovely stay in Kauai for 4 nights in this ground floor apartment. The bed is huge and comfortable . All the furniture has a tropical vibe. The kitchen is well equipped and the coffeemaker with ground coffee provided was a wonderful welcome after a long day. It took us a little while to figure out the best way to cool the apartment , without using the air conditioning but once we discovered the lover windows in both the bedroom and dining area and opened the front door leaving the wire screen locked, this combination gave a wonderful flow through of air. We did not use many of the facilities of the complex as we spent most of our time touring the island. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We stayed for four nights. The condo was beautiful and super well equipped. You can see that the owners use this as a personal destination. Large comfortable bedroom and one and a half large baths. AC in the bedroom was a nice edition but we were comfortable with the island breeze most of the time. First floor unit with a large walk out patio. Huge front lawn with view towards Shipwreck Beach. Very nice pool. Lovely walkway along the beach. Easy drive or about a 15 minute scenic walk over to Poipu Beach. Wished we had planned to stay longer.

Well appointed, lovely condo was exactly as description and pictures showed. Quiet even in a 1st floor unit. Although it doesn’t have a full view of the ocean, you can see it just a few steps from the lanai and walk a very short distance to Shipwreck Beach. Good location for other beaches and access to the Maha’ulepu Heritage Trail.

Great location to watch both the sunrise and sunset over the ocean. The facility is perfect for two people and is convenient and close to lots of amenities.

This spacious, comfortable, and very clean condo has everything you need for a wonderful vacation, from the well-equipped kitchen to the bathroom with soap, shampoo and conditioner for those who travel light. The beautiful beach is steps away. We enjoyed our morning coffee watching the sunrise each morning, the hike to the caves and the short walk to Poipu beach. Being new to Kauai, we were happy to stay on the drier south coast. You won’t be disappointed.

This condo is a great value. Only downside was no central AC, and one of the beach chairs was broken when we arrived but I don't think the owner was aware of this. Overall, great location and very comfortable place to spend two weeks!

This property is in a great location and provided us with everything we needed! Everything was updated and well kept. Shipwreck beach is a VERY short walk outside the back door and a nice sized pool is a short walk in the other direction. Kaua'i is a beautiful island and we enjoyed spending time here. Island wide, air conditioning seems to be very limited. It's not in most restaurants and public areas. This home has air conditioning in the bedroom, but I would have preferred to have it throughout the home. That is no fault of the owner and I should have double checked before our stay!

My wife and I just spent a week at this spectacular condo. First of all, Kathy was very welcoming and available for all questions. The condo was perfect, with a large bedroom (comfortable mattress) nice on-suite and a kitchen that was very well stocked. Having the BBQ across from the lanai was very convenient. The location was prime!, easy access to several nice walks, shipwreck beach and a very quick drive to Poipu beach. We hope to be returning visitors. Thanks so very much,!

Perfect setting for a perfect wedding
We booked this place because of many factors. Location to wedding site, affordability, amenities, and location to other activities. It was nothing short of perfect. Kathy is a wonderful person to chat with if something arose. The condo is very comfortable and we will gladly book this place again for when we visit Kaua’i in a couple of years.

Very nice property with easy access to beach and a fabulous pool. Kitchen is very well supplied, and beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler are available. Hot tub is quite a distance, but tennis court is close by.

We enjoyed walking the Mahaulepu Heritage trail which runs right by the complex and the grounds of the beautiful Grand Hyatt next door. The owner and on site maintenance contact were immediately responsive to one issue we had. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and the whole condo was immaculate.
