We stayed here for a family-oriented reunion with college friends, multiple families with kids. It was the middle of summer in a heat wave, but we stayed cool inside the house and in the wonderful pool. We rented 2 homes (Madrid and Barcelona), and it was very convenient to walk across the street in the gated community. We also loved the area, with plenty of stores close by and good restaurants.
The manager, William, was extremely responsive every step of the way, and provided excellent service to answer all our questions about the properties. When there were minor problems such as not enough towels upon arrival, he jumped on the phone and solved it for us right away. Overall, we found the houses clean and in good working order.
We look forward to staying here again in the future.

We had a great time with our family. William the property manager was incredibly responsive whenever we had a question. The house was great with a pool, pickleball court, etc. would rent again!

Our group of women enjoyed the many bedrooms/baths, extra large kitchen and gorgeous outdoor area, with lots of activities. The manager and staff were readily available and responsive to any needs or questions we had.

This property was perfect for us! Multiple seating areas for a little privacy; HUGE kitchen; sporting activities were all enjoyed ( especially pickleball!). The pool was beautifully serene, and we enjoyed daily “hot tub happy hour”! Location was good to enjoy local hiking and not too far from Joshua Tree.

The house was great for hosting a large party. We never ran out of things to do as the pickleball courts occupied our time there. We did have few hiccups in the beginning but the manager took care of it right away. Only thing is the pool/spa was confusing. We were not able to heat it higher than 82 degrees for the pool and it was still cold at that temp to enjoy during winter. Everything else was great. Kitchen was stocked nicely and the house was comfortable for all 17 of us and 2 small dogs.

Property had everything that we needed. Great location. Property manager was very attentive. The heating of the pool and spa was a bit of a problem but owner did his best to remedy the problem.

Our family was thrilled with this property to stay at to celebrate our wedding weekend. It is HUGE for 20 people - which is exactly what you need to spread out and enjoy yourselves. The kitchen was such a hit; everyone could make breakfast in the mornings separately or together. Pool was really clean which we were concerned about but it ended up being nice! The grounds were so well maintained. The house itself and casitas have some wear and tear - and two of the casitas could benefit from more clothing storage. Overall it's a great property and it was nice to feel my family and friends really enjoyed themselves.

This was our 3rd time at this property and it truly is the best. Perfect for big families, the management is very responsive and accommodating. We just spent the weekend during the hurricane and they made sure our group was safe and taken care of. We can’t wait to come back next year.

My wife &I along w all our kids, grandkids& friends celebrated our 50th anniversary. We stayed on the Madrid Estate part of the Laguna Seca Group of homes. It was the best time ever. The grounds are well kept, with options for tennis, pickle ball, swimming, many activities. We had non stop fun! The huge pool was the main focal part. Absolutely gorgeous! Huge area for play & just hanging out. Outdoor bq w huge stove/oven were used for most of our dinners. The main house had everything you needed, but most of all the beds were so comfortable. This group of estate homes are a secret gem on VRBO. We enjoyed ourselves to the Max!

Favorite parts of our stay: tennis and pickle courts, hot tub, large kitchen and bathrooms. The furniture was comfortable. It’s a well thought out home close to the BNP Paribas tournament, grocery stores, and Bermuda dunes airport.

This home was perfect for our needs, and really exceeded expectations. With so many different areas to gather and relax, activities to participate in with our group, it really was the perfect home for our group to hang out at for our golf weekend! Thank you for the owner and property manager for being so responsive to our questions and needs throughout the stay...

We are pretty easy going people and have rented various large homes and this by far was the worst experience ever. The lights outside never worked and property manager never helped with lights. The speaker system to listen to music was not fixed for us to use until our 3rd day and we only rented for 4 days, the misters are so old they do not work, we were not able to use the tennis court/pickle ball courts in evening since this would be ideal time due to the heat due to no one answering questions on how to turn lights on, handle on sink broke the first hour we were there, AC broke down in one of the casitas which was dealt with but took a lot of reaching out. The property manager that the owner told us they pay 2K per month to handle these issues was out of the country on some emergency but there was no one to cover for him so we were really left with no one to trouble shoot things which made for our stay to not be ideal at all. It is a lovely property but when things do not work or are not explained with how to turn on it is frustrating. Other minor issues, the grill outside we had to go to grocery store to buy an lighter as the one they had did not work, the oven in kitchen did not work, the ice in fridges never worked so we had to buy our own ice , a fridge in one of the casitas would make a LOUD noise every hour so made it impossible to sleep so we had to have 3 of our men pull out to unplug. etc. etc. like I said a lot of potential. Unfortunately when I reached out to the owner, they were rude and started telling me that "they live by a train track and are used to noise and the beach where it was cold and so we sould embrace the warmth".....it was 115 degrees hot this weekend and had a baby in that casita so not a response I expected at all. We will unfortunately NEVER rent this property again!

We stayed in the “Madrid” residence from July 19th -July 24th, 2022. Our group consisted of 23 people total (13 kids, 10 adults). Upon first arriving on-site, we were all in awe of the size of the property as well as the general appearance but once we actually moved in and got a closer look, the awe and amazement were quickly replaced by frustration and annoyance. I think the saying ‘good from far, but far from good’ is an accurate description of the Madrid property.
After unloading all of our belonging and food for the week, we quickly realized that the ice makers on ALL 3 refrigerators did not work and the temperature in both the refrigerators and freezers was nowhere near cold enough. We adjusted the temperature gauges thinking that would do the trick but when we woke up the next morning, most of the food we put in them was spoiled and had to be thrown out because it wasn’t being kept cold and/or frozen. This was SEVERAL HUNDRED dollars worth of food. When we told Richard about this, his response was “tell your kids to stop opening the refrigerator doors”. I will say that he did get a new fridge brought in that actually worked but by that point, the damage had been done so to speak in regards to our food that had to be thrown out. We also had to bring in multiple bags of ice on a daily basis. Not exactly what you would expect when paying $12k for 5 nights.
In addition to the fridges not working, here a list of other things that did not work and/or broken:
Top oven
Over half of the misters on the patio (it was 110)
Speakers outside by pool and bar area
Blinds for double door of master bedroom (no privacy)
Half the bathrooms did not have toilet paper
And if all of this wasn’t bad enough, the pool itself turned out to be the worst part of the entire trip… There was no chlorine in the pool so my husband had to go out and purchase chlorine tablets for the pool which ended up being a mute point because as it turns out, most of the people in our group ended up with horrible ear infections and/or bacterial infections as a direct result of swimming in the pool for multiple days. This wasn’t swimmers’ ear (as Richard suggested) these were legitimate infections cause by swimming in unclean/tainted pool water. Final count was 6 kids got ear infections, 3 kids got bacterial infections. 3 adults got ear infections, and one adult got a stomach bacterial infection. Doctors all confirmed.
The bottom line is this. The stay was not worth the money we paid

You will not be disappointed with this incredible home! We had a 60th Birthday/Family Reunion at The Madrid property. We didn’t have much communication with Dawn the property manager, but the owner Richard is AWESOME! He was available via text if we needed anything at all. The rooms and casitas were perfect for our guests. The kitchen was an entertainers dream!! And the pool……there are no words!! Jacuzzi, baja shelf with chairs, plenty of room to float AND a swim up bar!!! We had Jeffrey the Bartender during the day Saturday and he only enhanced the experience. Family had pickle ball tournaments, played ping pong, used the putting green and again the pool, perfect for a floating beer pong table (LOL). I would not hesitate to contact Richard for another stay!!

What a great family vacation we all had at the Madrid at Laguna Seca! 18 of us and a wonderful time was had by all. The pool/hot tub is the very best part of this vacation rental and the focus of the property. It was warm and the ability to play your music with the outdoor sound system made every day (and night) fantastic!! The house and casitas were clean and any issue we had was attended to almost immediately by Chris the property manager. We have been renting houses for many years and we have never dealt with a better property manager than Chris. One of the A/C units in a casita died while we were staying there and within 24 hours an A/C company was there to put in a new one. When I asked the workers about getting there so soon, they said that they enjoyed working with Chris and that they would work into the evening to get it done for him! Lucky us!! ALL the beds were comfortable and almost every amenity you could need was there. The tennis court, pickle ball court, and fire pit were used almost every day. The kitchen was huge and we were easily able to cook for the entire group. A couple of nights we used the outdoor grill and oven to cook while we watched the NCAA basketball tournament on the TV right next to the grill...Perfect way to watch the games!! Cannot thank Laguna Seca enough and really want to say a big Thank You to Chris for going out of his way to take care of us! Great job...we will be back again for sure!!

Our family of 18 spent Thanksgiving week at Madrid Estate . We were so thrilled with the beautiful heated pool and spa, pickle ball courts, tennis courts, putting green , bocci ball and fire pit and sound system . We felt like we were in our own private resort with all the outdoor amenities, outdoor barbeque area and private casitas and never wanted to leave . Our family enjoyed the large kitchen and dining area for cooking and eating together . We all had our own space for sleeping and the rooms were very comfortable . Chris responded immediately to any of our questions and was always available.
We loved our time there and it was unanimous that it was the “best” home we have stayed at in La Quinta. We can’t wait to go back .

My family and I stayed at this beautiful mansion, we loved the set up of the rooms and the Casitas around the pool are perfect for larger groups so everyone has their own space. The pool is amazing and the location is perfect for playing music and not disrupting neighbors. Overall we highly recommend this property.

We an amazing stay at this awesome property!! This place is so spacious. We stayed here with 4 families and it could of accommodated even more. The casitas were great and fit a family of 4 comfortably, they were like having your own little apartment, nice and private. The main house is huge and each bedroom has its own bath. This property made us feel like we had a resort all to ourselves!! I'm definitely coming back here again and again. We had no issues during our stay, but when we did have a question the owner Rick was very responsive. Thanks for the good times, we look forward to coming back.

This property is fabulous inside and out! There is so much to do on the estate, you will never want to leave. The pool is amazing...perfect temperature and sparkling clean (thank you, Jose). The pickle ball courts were occupied by all ages from dawn to dusk. 100+ temps didn't stop the action. The kitchen is huge with tons of counter space and storage. The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable.
Key to our stay was the quick and courteous support we got from Chris. He answered all of our questions promptly and always with a smile. Thank you, Chris
We can't wait to go back!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The 3 casitas (which was really almost 4 casitas because of the location of the bedrooms near the outdoor shower) worked so well for having 3 families with lots of kids ages 6-11 -- and so nice on that from to have double washer/dryers. The pool was the center of activity but the kids also enjoyed the putting green, tennis, and the play structure. It was nice because we were all able to be together and yet not be on top of each other.
Chris was very helpful, answering questions and helping us take full advantage of all the pool features. A wind storm stirred up a lot of dust and without our asking, the next day the pool guy game and cleared out the pool, too.
We would recommend the house highly! Thank you so much!

A great house for a large group. We were a group of 12 from teenagers to seniors, gathered for a family reunion. We spent nearly all our time out of doors, using the amazing pool, many different shaded lounging and game-playing (and working) spots, the pickle ball court, bocce, tennis court, and ping pong table. The outdoor areas go on and on and could have accommodated many more of us. The indoor spaces are also expansive but could use some love and attention. The kitchen is HUGE but not as well stocked as it should be (we could not find a single decent chopping knife). The casitas all work, but are not quite homey (at least one room includes a kitchen but no dresser -- we put our clothes in the kitchen cabinets). The bedrooms in the main house need an update, particularly to the carpet and linens. The pickle ball courts are beautiful but the racquets were broken. The tennis net needs to be repaired/replaced and the horse shoe pit could use some maintenance.Pro tip: bocce works best along the strip of turf in the shade on the left side of the driveway (behind/beside the pickle ball). The attention from the property manager was excellent and he helped me with a number of questions t/o our stay.In short, this could be an amazing property but, as is, is a little neglected by the owners and needs some updating and care.

The property allowed each family unit to have their own bedroom and bath. We all shared the cooking in a fun kitchen which became a hub in the breakfast hour and around dinner. Pool, pickle ball, bocci ball and tennis were used. The pool is exceptional as there are locations for toddlers as well as adults wanting to seat at the bar in the pool.A couple of maintenance issues that were quickly taken care of by onsite help and vendors as required. Very professionally handled. One guest was wheel chair bound and we worked around that issue well. This home was all one level and most doors etc were wide enough to accommodate.Enjoyable stay and would come again.

Three families headed to PS and rented this house together to quarantine in the sun. This experience could not have been better! I gave our experience 5 stars across the board. The owner/management: Richard was the most gracious and understanding owner. He was extremely prompt in his communications, very supportive in making our rental happen, and very understanding when one of our families had to suddenly drop out due to a COVID situation. Chris, as the manager, there is no one better. He was always accessible by phone, email, or text. He was so personable, professional, and responsive. For the few things we had questions about or something wasn't quite working, he was on it immediately. Thanks again Richard and Chris for the back up BBQ and then the brand new BBQ replacement! Both worked beautifully. I got to know Chris so well, that we wanted to invite him over for dinner and beers! The home:The home is huge and beautiful. The pool and hot tubs are hotel quality, and not your regular basic rectangles. AND WARM!! Patio furniture, lounge chairs, bistro lights, outdoor sound system, layout, made you think you were at your own private hotel resort. We enjoyed the tennis court several times a day. Chris brought over some construction quality lighting to help us play into dusk. There were two brand new beautiful pickle-ball courts laid right before we came. Play structure for little ones and putt putt too. Each bed was super comfy, ample towels and stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook and enjoy your stay, a poker room, tvs everywhere, great sound, and more. Our original plan was for four families (17 total) and the home would have fit us fine. For the fine print...the home is a rental so it shows like one in that there will be little nicks and dings here and there so if you are seeking absolute 110% perfection, the landlord and management team have other properties in the same cul-de-sac that are newer and might fit that bill. Laguna Seca Estates is the area. But for us, with kids (ranging 10-15 years old) it was perfect so that the parents didn't have to watch them every waking second of the day, and instead can all just relax and work/school remotely. By the way, for the 12 of us there, the wifi worked great even though at times, we were all using it for work/school. And an interesting note, some great tennis players for BNP and bands for Coachella have stayed in this home. Thx again Richard/Chris!!
