Guests praised the property for its clean, well-equipped kitchen, cozy accommodations, and beautiful sunrise views. Easy access to the water for boating and fishing. Enjoyed using kayaks and bikes provided. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

Everything was very clean and comfortable. The main thing that caught my eye was the dock in the pictures and easy access to it. But, upon arrival, the dock is not part of the rental. Had to use a narrow canal ,instead. Not a deal breaker, but just a little misleading in the pictures.

Great spot, comfortable, cozy, clean. Easy to get boat in and out. Highly recommend. Grill, filet table, kayaks, etc.

Lovely property, very clean, newly updated, well-appointed kitchen and home, very spacious! Island is quiet and low-key and we enjoyed local seafood everyday! Watched the sunrise from the front balcony in the mornings and enjoyed watching the boats come in and out in the morning and evening. Check-in and out was a breeze.

We really enjoyed our stay in this home. The place was well equipped with everything from spices and towels and outdoor items grill, kayaks and much more. Very close to inlet, bay and canals. Marina nearby and boat access and storage a big plus for those that want to bring the boat along. Enjoyed and thank you for a nice stay!

The house has wonderful porches with awesome sunrise & sunset views, located on a canal with easy access to Charlotte Harbor. The house is super clean and well kept and the property manager is extremely helpful. We have rented this house several times, always a pleasant experience.

Property was exactly as advertised and super simple check in and out. Great spot if you’re coming to fish with a dock with power and water located on the dock. Would recommend everyone to stay here and we would definitely come back!
Thank you

The property was clean & cozy. The boat access amazing. We saw manatee & dolphin every day. Only issue is that we didn't catch any fish! I would go there again. Cynthia, the property manager was very sweet. Oh, and the shelling is simply amazing.

We loved this house on the water. Views are beautiful and it’s a good location. The house also has bikes and kayaks for you to use. The last day no see ums showed up. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Great house in a fantastic location
It's hard to imagine a better location for boaters and kayakers. The Jug Creek Marina gas pump is 3 doors down the canal and Shell Pass is about 2 minutes away. Hop in a kayak and you'll be at the Calusa Island Preserve in 2 minutes. There was plenty of room for our 20' center console and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You'll love the sunrise view over the islands!

Nice place to stay
The house was clean and well keep . The beds are firm and very comfortable the pillows were perfect and if you wanted a thicker pillow there was two thicker ones in the closet . The kitchen had plenty of utensils and a nice selection of pots and pans and bowls for cooking. The screened in porch front and back have very comfortable chairs for morning or evening setting. We were fishing and will be back. The fish cleaning table is very small and wobbly but we made do. A great place to stay.

Boathouse spectacular
The view on the deck was beautiful particularly with sunrise and sunsets. Excellent location to rent kayaks, and sign up for fishing adventures. The house was clean and beds comfortable.
We spent a week there and each day was busy.
House manager very helpful and informative.

Outstanding!
We loved every minute of our month-long stay. The house is comfortable, clean, well-designed with open room layout; wi-fi works well. Excellent mattresses and efficient new blinds in both bedrooms. The house is well stocked, although it lacks a gas grill. Bikes need a little TLC; kayaks work great. Manager Cynthia is friendly, professional and attentive when needed.
From porches perched on the second floor we looked down on the canal on one side, or the beautiful bay on the other. Seated with our coffee, we saw pelicans, egret, ibis, blue heron, and the drama of an osprey nest (a set of parents skillfully guarding and feeding a fledgling).
The front pier provides relatively easy launching for splendid kayaking around the bays. The pier doubles as a good place to catch snappers, pinfish, keeper-sized sheepshead, sea trout, and snook. We saw pencil fish and sting ray swimming through the sandy areas of the outer bay, gopher turtles on Calusa Island, and alligators sunning on logs at the Wigert Barron Preserve. A family of dolphins in the bay came alongside our kayaks, headlined by Jug Creek’s own celebrity “Uno/Fin.” The neighborhood was quiet at night, as the moon came up and the stars came out in the dark sky. Sunrise in the east and sunset in the west could be seen by walking from one side of the house to the other.
Recommend: Calusa Heritage trail, Getaway Café (French bakery), Bokeelia Art Gallery, Cayo Costa (take sunscreen and an umbrella, as there is no shade), and restaurants: Lazy Flamingo, Capt’n Con’s, Tarpon Inn. A farmer-run fruit & vegetable stand has exceptional produce on Saturdays from noon to 5:00 (mile 14 in a church parking lot). Alden Golf Course is challenging but eccentric, quirky and under-maintained (several grass-deficient fairways). Still, my husband played every other day and had a good time. There we saw bald eagles, otter, swimming turtles, and majestic anhinga.
Pine Island is special, but stay away if you want to speed up and drink in a thrill-centered, high-tech, fast-paced tourist beach experience with exotic nightlife, having so much movement there is no time for reflection. Come if you want to slow down and drink in the goodness of God’s creation in a laid-back, wildlife-bursting environment, great for hiking, fishing, biking, kayaking, and appreciating the beautiful complexity of nature, history and archaeology.
We can’t wait to return and have already booked for next year.

Perfect
We needed to be away from everyone and spend some quiet time and fish! It was very quiet and could not have fit our check list better. We have already started looking at a second booking. Everything was perfect, clean and ready for us. Communication was quick and the hostesses was very helpful.

We really liked the stay.
Although we enjoined the stay we found a bad smell like old peeing. It seams like the mop used wasn’t clean. Other than that we really liked the stay. Very convinient

Wrap around water view patios.
Enjoyed sitting out on the screened patios. One faces east and the other west. Nice they have a Keurig as well, so morning’s were spent out on one of the porch’s drinking coffee. Stairs to second floor are steep, so a consideration for anyone with pets or joint issues.

Great boating access
Great little place in a small town. Very convenient for the fisherman / boating access to Charlotte harbor. Clean, well stocked. Will stay here again! We ate at several local places . Lazy Flamingo & Capn Cons are our favorite cook your catch places!

Peaceful Easy Feeling
We spent 7 days here and it is really a lovely place stay at this price. The main upstairs living area is open and cheery and very clean. The sunrises are spectacular. We loved sitting on the deck watching the boats go by and having our morning coffee or afternoon happy hour! The west side view of Jug Creek Marina is a bit noisy and the view on the opposite side of the canal is of a dumpster and large gas tanks. However its is a convenient location to walk or ride over to and buy fresh fish right off the dock!
There are some items that could use sprucing up. The vertical blinds are difficult to close tightly to keep the morning sun out of the bedroom and the master bed creaks a bit, though it was still very comfortable. A full length mirror would be a nice addition too.
Since there are no pictures of the kitchen or the staircase, the kitchen is ample and well equipped. (There is no toaster oven and the toaster that is supplied is too narrow for bagels and such.) The stairway was not too steep and was wide enough to get our luggage up the 14 steps easily. The downstairs bedroom has a lockable entrance door and was roomy with its own bath, TV and mini fridge. It is a nice private space for your guests or family members. It was perfect for our guests who came to visit for a few days.
We really enjoyed using the two kayaks. We paddled over to Hidden Harbor and to a tiny beach on nearby Calusa Island. However the 4 bikes provided were very rusty and only 2 were barely rideable as the other 2 had flat tires. Fortunately upon the advice of the manager, we brought our own and had some really enjoyable bike rides including one to the new taco truck at the intersection of Stringfellow and Pine Island Roads.
Don't forget to bring binoculars and a good camera so you can observe the two beautiful ospreys in their nest right next to the house.

Perfect!
I rented this house as a get away to celebrate my friend’s 50th birthday. It was absolutely perfect! The place is amazing. Well equipped, we had everything we needed. I asked to get in a little early in order to decorate before the birthday girl arrived. Wasn’t a problem at all. We had the best time! We are hoping to get back here soon.

Location is outstanding
You really can't beat this location. You have a beautiful view in front of Jug Creek and a rear view of the canal. The wrap around upstairs deck is screened on the front and back allowing you to watch the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. There are a few things needing attention but we would rent again.

Great weekend.
We really enjoyed our stay. We brought our boat and docked it behind the property. The process was fairly easy and the boat ramp is very near by. We would’ve liked if the couch was a pull out. Our 16 year old son slept on the couch, but it was comfortable enough for him. Would definitely recommend this property especially if you are a boat owner and want to be on the water for a weekend. Very peaceful and all and all a great family getaway. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

Good location for fishing
So, if you have or want to rent a boat, this place is perfect. You can’t beat the location for kayaking or boating/fishing. The house upstairs is adorable, and the bedroom downstairs we didn’t use, It’s roomy but the bed was way past it’s prime. The view from upstairs is amazing!
There are two kayaks and some bikes you can use that come with house. We enjoyed the sweet mangoes at the farmers market up the road. We would stay here again, but rent a boat for longer trips to fish.

Bokeelia getaway
We stayed at the Bokeelia Boathouse 6/19 - 6/22/2020, after having to cancel for Covid on our original dates in May. We frequent Sanibel/Captiva often, but this was our first time on Pine Island. The location was great as we brought out boat and could dock it at the house. Cynthia was great communicating via email, but she was not able to meet us as planned when we arrived. It would have been nice to speak with her as we had some questions about boating and wanted suggestions on what to do. She did leave a book of some restaurant menus and how to check out etc, but we regret not being able to chat. The house was exactly as listed. It was clean, but there were wet dishes in the dishwasher that we had to put away., likely from the renter before us. No big deal. The bed upstairs (we only used one bedroom) was very firm and uncomfortable for us. Also, there were vertical blinds in the bedroom and living room,. and the slats would not shut completely. Did not like the feeling that someone could see in at night. Besides that everything was exactly as described. The views are absolutely unbeatable from the wraparound screened in porch. We enjoyed sitting outside with no bugs biting us. Many businesses were still closed due to Covid, but we expected that. We didn't have the opportunity to use bikes or kayaks, but they were there for our use if we wanted. As frontline workers, we were happy to get away and relax for a few days while socially distancing on the water. This was a much bigger place than the two of us needed, and would totally recommend for 2 couples. Enjoyable getaway.
