About this house rental
Town of Crested Butte Business License #001432
You’ll feel right at home from the moment you enter this homey, spacious, non-smoking townhome duplex unit built in 1998 and remodeled in 2013. Luxurious bedding, tasteful furnishings, natural wood accents, granite counters, and saltillo tile floors with radiant heat welcome you, while a wall of south-facing windows flood the vaulted great room with light. There are great views of the Butte from the front porch and rear balcony.
The open kitchen/ dining / living floor plan on the main level lends itself to memorable gatherings of family and friends. Your kids- young and old alike- will love the loft. The large south-facing balcony-deck off the main level has great views and is ideal for sunning, reading, or cooking out. There is a larger deck on the ground level that accesses the back yard. The lower level has two private bedrooms with queen beds and one full bath. A second full bath and sleeper sofa are on the main level, while the loft has two queen beds and it's own half bath. The living area has a desk and big screen Sony smart TV, and the two private bedrooms also have smaller screens (You will need to bring your own HDMI cables if you wish to use the bedroom TV's as the house does not have cable TV).
Conveniently located in town, just two blocks from the free bus that takes you on the short 10 min. ride to the ski area (last stop going, first stop returning). It's an easy 5-10 minute walk to the Elk Avenue restaurants and shopping. It's four blocks from the main town park where outdoor concerts are held.
Parking is shared with the front unit. There are four total parking spaces in front, and one dedicated to our unit in back off the alley.
Kid-Friendly: Our kids loved it, and yours will too! It's 1/2 block from Rainbow Park with soccer field, playscape, and climbing boulder, and 1/2 mile from a BMX park. There's a pack'n'play crib and a child booster seat available. See if they can find the 'secret view' of the Butte from the loft...
Pets: Sorry we are no longer accepting pets at our property.
The Purple Mountain Lodge B&B is right next door if extra beds are needed.
HOLIDAYS and SUMMER MINIMUM STAY: We require a six night minimum over the Christmas holidays, five nights over other holidays and five nights in June and July.

We had our family with us and my grandkids didn’t want to leave. They are 6, 6 and 8 and with their my son-in-law they climbed to the top of the Crested Butte mountain. We got to see the 4th of July parade along with the fire department water fun where the kids got sprayed. All in all a tremendous week!

Really nice hosts and easy check in. Location was great as its right by the mountain bus stop and blocks away from the main street in Crested Butte. Highly recommend :)

Laura was so very helpful and accommodating during the process of booking and whilst we were staying. The house was well stocked with all the necessities and more. My only complaint is that all the cupboards had stuff in so it was quite cluttered and not as easy to hang clothes up and put things away.. We would have liked proper full baths (but we are English and we LOVE our baths!) and the water seemed to run out at a certain point so they were t great. On the whole a great house and Laura a great host.

House was great! We had 5 adults and 2 kids and the place was perfect! Really helped having kid toys, pack n play, baby gates, etc. Walking distance to everything and very close to park. Loved it!

The Yellow House is Awesome!
We have stayed here twice, and would not stay anywhere else in Crested Butte! It’s cozy, (gets the afternoon sunshine :), spacious, generously stocked with all kinds of amenities, thoroughly cleaned with fresh linens and lots of towels, and comfortable heated tile flooring throughout the lower bedrooms/bathroom. What a treat!
A great location…easily walkable to the quaint downtown area and accessible to cross county skiing area. Highly recommend staying here.
The hosts, Laura & Mike, have thought of everything to make this home feel like a “home away from home.”

Perfect house in perfect location
This house is perfectly located in the heart of Crested Butte. The town in quaint and a short walk/drive to all that downtown has to offer. Five minutes up the mountain and you are at the mountain resort and quick access to skiing and all that the resort has to offer. The unit was cozy for everyone. The 2 bedrooms downstairs were comfy for the adults and the teenagers slept comfortably in the loft beds. Even the couch was utilized as a bed (pullout) and there were no complaints. The home was dog friendly, but didn't have that "dog" smell that some homes have after not being cleaned thoroughly. We found the home to be clean and comfortable. The centralized location made all of our outings quick and easy. The neighborhood was full of neighbors willing to give advise as you prepare daily for the heavy snow, snow blowers and city snow plows constantly coming through to clear the streets. We had not one complaint and would highly recommend this location for anyone visiting Crested Butte!

White Christmas
Great location, great layout, nicely decorated, very cozy. Needs more attention to detail - property manager doing a very poor job of it - as far as some basic supplies (place mats, snow shovel, kitchenware). Could use a better stove as well. But we had a nice stay and I'd definitely recommend it to future guests.

Fantastic Rental in CB
The location and appearance of the property gets 5 stars. It is within walking distance to Elk which the main road in town. It’s a nice quiet neighborhood. The house itself is extremely nice. There are three levels: the great room is the middle level and it is truly very nicely decorated. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need or imagine. The home is immaculate. There were two things that were out of character: the grille was so dirty I couldn’t/ wouldn’t grill on it. This was a big disappointment. The refrigerator was clean but had a bunch of condiments, butter and bread from previous renters. Especially with Covid, I don’t think it’s a good idea to have someone’s leftover condiments, bread and butter in the refrigerator.
It was freezing at night in the lower level where the main bedrooms are. I tried to raise the heat, but it never really heated up that level.

Great for a Girls Weekend
My girlfriends and I loved this charming property, conveniently located on a quiet block, about a 5-minute walk to Elk Ave. Very nice to have 4 queen beds, as well as ample room to spread out and socialize. It made all the difference to be able to leave our car parked (1 spot is provided behind the house)and walk to the many wonderful restaurants and stores downtown.

Perfect
This was such a cozy duplex/townhouse that had enough room for us all comfortably. It’s just a short walk to downtown (which we made daily), and rainbow park is around the corner. We enjoyed absolutely everything about our stay.
We brought our hiking backpack for our toddler, but were pleasantly surprised to find one in the condo, along with a stroller.
We will defiantly be back!

Yellow House
This yellow house duplex is precious. Great location - one block from Rainbow Park. Great furnishings and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our only tiny suggestion would be sure the screens are on the windows so we could have opened them with out having flies and mosquitoes come in. Otherwise fabulous stay!

Beautiful and perfect location!
This property was perfect for us! We planned a trip to Crested Butte to include me, my husband, our children, and our lifelong friends and their child.
Two bedrooms were downstairs for each couple, and the kids loved being upstairs in the loft. Warning: lots of stairs lol. Two flights - for sure one to get to the living room and kitchen, and then the second flight to get to the loft. If you're not accustomed to the altitude, this can get tiring, but we were fine.
There was parking in the front, but limited when sharing with the front unit. We liked the parking spot in the back from the alley. There was also yard space in the back for the kids to play. One block away was a beautiful park for the kids to play on a playground and access to a paved trail to the river. It only took a few minutes to walk to Elk Ave where all the shops are.
The house was beautifully decorated, with all the things we could possibly need. Plenty of space and seating for everyone. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, and cleaners. Bathrooms were stocked with soaps and lots of towels. The only thing I might suggest is fans in the bedrooms. We found a box fan, but kept it in the loft with the kids. We purchased desk fans from the hardware store for each bedroom downstairs. For being summertime, the house stayed plenty cool with open windows during the day. The radiant tile heaters downstairs were nice while getting dressed in the mornings!
I don't have anything negative to say about this property. It was amazing and worked out perfectly for us! The owner and I had communication when I first booked it - they were nice and easy to work with. Never had to contact them with any issues while we were there. Thank you for being part of our trip!

Wonderful Home Close to Downtown
We had a a great stay at this lovely property. It actually seemed bigger in person than the images portray, with plenty of room in the kitchen and living space. We'd hike in the morning, come back to clean up, then walk downtown to get something to eat. The location was perfect! Everything was very clean and the host was super accommodating. Highly recommend!

The house was perfect for our 3 generation family. The kids loved the loft!! The short 200 yard walk to the park was a really nice surprise. Best park in town right out our door.

Magical 3 weeks in the best location
We spent 3 weeks working/schooling virtually in this charming, perfectly located house. The beds are extremely comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. The location is perfect for families with children wanting to take advantage of Rainbow park, the recreation path and nearby BMX park and community arts center. It’s also a super easy stroll to town and my kids road their bikes everywhere.
