Great studio for us. Conveniently situated just beyond the edge of town on the road to the lakes where I fished. Host was responsive and communicated quickly and clearly. Comfortable and well equipped. We'd stay there again.

Chris’s studio has everything you need for a ski trip to mammoth. The studio has a heater with thermostat and full kitchen if you plan to cook. You can walk to mammoth brewco and the village if you wish. Easy check in/out with a lockbox.

We booked this beautiful studio a month before realizing a storm would engulf mammoth . It was amazing. Kept us warm and safe. We were provided with everything we needed for the situation. Would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return when we do not need a bigger place. Beautiful views out the windows. If you're coming in the winter, all parking for the complex is outside, so prepare accordingly. Bed was firm but more comfortable than we thought it would be. We did hear our neighbors above when it was occupied, but it was not too bad. We had one issue which Chris resolved right away. It's a very cozy and comfortable unit!

Impeccably clean. Just the basics. Super enjoyed the wood stove, the generally well stocked kitchen pots/pans etc. Great basecamp for the east side, easy walk to the brewery and close to everything else!
A few small things would go a long way to make this way better:
- Hand soap for bathroom and kitchen
- Unbroken and actually comfortable stools/chairs for island bar for eating. Save yourself a numb rear and sit on the couch for meals.
- Teapot or electric kettle
- Water filter: Mammoth tap water is nauseating
- Small end table with reading lamp near couch
- bedside lights. (the only light other than entry ceiling light & kitchen, is a stand/upright floor lamp on the far side of the bed.
The one major thing, which was pointed out in various other reviews, is the mind-blowing firmness of the memory foam bed.
It's the only reason my overall rating is 4 stars instead of 5 (all the above suggestions are easily done without or brought with if needed). Our stay was pretty sleepless due to the bed and associated pain, not really able to recover from daily hikes due to the mattress. But it's a pretty individual thing. But do know that it's VERY hard, yes it settles into your shape after a few minutes, but does so just about when you're so sore you need to shift again anyway. oof.
Other than that, this is a great place.
Someone staying or owning a neighboring place drove their truck around the back, off road, right up to the decking outside the door right after we got there and were climbing back and forth over the railing for a couple hours, didn't appear to be loading anything, left it there overnight too. Odd, and significantly reduced any bit of privacy, but obviously not something within anyone's control.
Other than than, overall experience and process was fast and smooth, first time going through VRBO too.
I think given covid-era it would be nice to know that certain things like extra blankets, comforter etc are cleaned or changed between guests - or just no matter what.
Would be nice if cleaning crew would double check dishes and pots/pans - went to heat up some soup we brought and the soup pot was covered in grease. Super appreciated the fresh set of sponges for the kitchen!
Oh - conflicting directions on whether or not to empty the wood stove ashes - postings inside the unit say not to empty it, but all other comms said to please empty it.
Anyway, long review, but just thought I'd share what I noticed and would suggest :-)

The studio was very quiet, clean, and comfortable with a workable kitchen making this cook happy.
The photos don't do the place justice. Quality upgrades with nice furniture including a very firm but comfortable bed.

First time staying at this place. Clean, comfortable bed, and quite. Great location. Able to walk to the village where we found many restaurants, gift shops, bike rental shop, and bus/trolley station. Would stay here again

Wonderful place to stay. My only suggestion would be to have several oscillating fans so that the temperature remains cool during the evening and night. I was extremely uncomfortable at night due to no air conditioning and only one little fan. Also, the bed really needs to have a regular mattress verses a form one. Not comfortable for my older back.

The property is located close to everything and is clean, comfortable and quaint. The only thing it lacks is a pair of deck chairs and a propane grill, otherwise it has everything you'd need for a nice relaxing stay.

Thank you for adding to a great Mammoth trip, the place was lovely and within walking distance to the Canyon Lodge.

Great place to stay just a short walk to the gondola. Everything was as advertised and good. My only two complaints would be that only 2 beach towels were provided as towels. Would be nice to have some more/extra towels. Additionally, the white sheets on the bed, while smelling clean/freshly washed, had some stains on them which kind of made them less appealing to sleep on. Other than that, would definitely stay again, great value!

Really had a nice time here. Walking distance to the village and just the right size for a couple :)
