About this house rental

Come getaway at Pirate’s Cove Beach House! Featuring space for 12 guests, this house is large enough to accommodate multiple families, but cozy enough that a romantic couple feels right at home. This charming 1937 beach house is in the heart of delightful Rockaway Beach. You’re in easy walking distance of everything! Walk just 5 minutes to the beach (6 small town blocks) or to the grocery store at the end of the street. With enough off street parking for up to three cars, you can easily stroll to the great cafés and shops in charming downtown Rockaway. Once you’ve arrived at Pirate’s Cove Beach House, you can relax and indulge in seaside living.

Rockaway Beach is a classic beach town with plenty of areas to explore. In addition, there are nearby fishing ponds, clamming beaches, and crabbing docks. A short 15 minute drive to Tillamook lets you tour the Tillamook Cheese Factory, go antiquing, or explore the fantastic restaurants they have to offer. On your way back to Pirate’s Cove beach house, stop off and pick up some excellent seafood at the Fish Peddler in Bay City. There is a fully stocked kitchen waiting for you to whip up a tasty meal.

While you are here, enjoy beautiful views from the second story, play board games, relax with a movie from our large vintage VHS collection, or bring blu-rays for player in the living room. Whatever kind of vacation you need, this house is the perfect place to call your home away from home.

The main floor has a queen sized bedroom, bunk room and two full bathrooms. The second story has another queen sized bedroom with a peek of the ocean on nice days, and a bedroom with a queen and twin as well as a large full bathroom. The living room has a 55” flat screen TV streaming Fubo live TV, Netflix, a bluray player, and a VCR with an extensive VHS collection. This house is pet friendly; please let us know if you plan on bringing a four-legged family member with you.

Note that is you plan on using the bunk room the sheets will be folded on each bunk - you will need to put the linens on the bed. Please only use those bunks that are needed to cut down on laundry. Also understand that the bunks in the bunk room are very high off the ground with no guard rails. They are not suitable for small children - most children over the age of 8 years old should be okay. Active or restless sleepers who may role out should not use the bunk room.

Positives: Excellent location to town and beach, Roomy, Lots of Movies and games for the family, comfortable living room furniture, Roomy Bunk room was appreciated. Negatives: House needed thorough cleaning, House needed better maintenance as front door stuck, window blinds couldn't close, curtains were wonky, mattresses were lumpy. Bunk room was stuffy and dark.

We cannot rave about this property enough. Great location in town. Spacious and furnished for fun and relaxation. Ample parking and friendly neighbors. Walking in the house, it was clean, maintained and exactly what the pictures portrayed. The space is family and pet friendly and everyone had there own space to get “away” and rest when they needed, which can be tough when there’s 5 kids but the space/set up made so that kids could rest when they needed it. The house had all the kitchen supplies/utensils we needed, the living room had plenty of seating as well. We walked to the beach daily, multiple times safely and it’s basically 3 blocks away from the beach. The bathrooms were well equipped and had plenty of hot water for our crew.

It's located in a good spot for shopping and walking to the beach. I would just say if you don't have or own any pets wouldn't recommend. Unless you don't mind the smell of dogs Asoon ad you walk in the door there's a strong smell . Also host are good people. But the people that clean did leave a vape and empty beer cans on bunks .

We rented this property for a few days for friends and family. It is in a perfect location to beach and shops and close to other attractions in nearby towns along the coast. Plenty of space and the pirates cove theme was a fun addition. Kitchen is adequate size and it was fun to watch vhs movies. Only downside perhaps is no dishwasher so plan ahead with paper plates.

Stayed here with my family and another family. The other family had the upstairs and my 6 kids did great in the bunk room. We all had privacy, and were very comfortable. It is so nice to have 3 bathrooms to clean up the kids after a day at the beach. The living room was much bigger than I expected. Great location. Would definitely come again!

I enjoyed our stay, we had three small children and didn't use the bunk room, but the kids enjoyed climbing the ladders and having a place to "hide". The property is relatively well maintained, though not new. Rockaway Beach has an excellent beach access and a nice sandy beach for kids to play at. It's a little faraway from Seaside/Astoria/Cannon beach, but the price did see commensurate with the inconvenience. You are very close to Tillamook as well. Overall it was a good location and we would book it again and recommend it to others.

We were able to bring 3 generations together in one place. The house was perfect, spacious enough we could all hangout as a group, but still be able to get away from each other as needed. The bedrooms and sleeping arrangements worked very well for us. Everything we needed for food prep, cooking, eating, and cleanup was available. The distance to the beach made for a nice walk and public parking is near enough we could meet-up with those who couldn't walk down. Every member of our group has agreed that we had a good time and would like to come back and do it again.

We had a family reunion, and family came from as far away as Missouri. The house was so much bigger the the pictures show, there was 12 people and we had plenty of room to stretch out. With nine people, we had leftover space; no one was on top of another. The bunk room gave the kids their own space to hang out and to sleep - ingenious! Washer and dryer were huge, so laundry was quick. Beds were comfy, nicely decorated. And great proximity to town and to the beach, we walked to most of our activities. Great house for a big group!

Our family really enjoyed Rockaway and this house. The house was clean and didn't smell musty like places at the beach do sometimes. They had cute decor and comfortable furniture. The mattresses in the bedrooms were pretty comfortable but the mattresses on the bunk beds were kinda hard. There was plenty of towels and bedding, though be sure to take your own shampoo. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to use but there is NO dishwasher!! The house has a pellet stove and several wall heaters that made it cozy. There are a ton of windows and natural light. There is no yard to speak of. There are lots of houses close by but we didn't hear other people hardly at all even though it was a Holiday. This house doesn't work for wheelchairs. The walk to the beach is at least 10 minutes and you have to cross Highway 101. Overall very positive experience.

We just stayed here for my mother's 60th birthday and this house was perfect! It fit all 12 of us no problem all the rooms were great size including the kitchen.. they provide everything from video game systems to awesome beach chairs even crab pot! Everything you could ever need to cook with in the kitchen . This house is a few blocks from the biggest store in town and the main strip but far enough back that you don't have a lot of foot and car traffic on the road.. thank you very much we can't wait to rent this house again soon!!!

Our family throughly enjoyed our stay at "The Pirates Cove". Loved the bunk beds! They had the feeling of an old and very sturdy train sleeping car with a light for each of the bunks and curtains that you could encase yourself in. Lots of wonderful video equipment and games to keep everyone engaged. Nice walk to the beach. Great place for a family or a group of friends.

Our family came from Portland/Seattle to celebrate my granny's 75th bday, and we had the perfect stay! It was a great location and the pirates theme is kinda cool, especially the bunk beds with the curtains. It made it so the young people could all be in one room, but also have some privacy. I'd definitely stay again when I return to Rockaway :)
