We are ex Seattleites and enjoy this location.
The view is nice and fills the living spaces as well as the from the deck. The hosts are attentive and work for you to enjoy your stay.
This is an older home and you do hear steps from above, Catherine and Marc are working on noise mitigation

The home/apartment was an absolute delight. Lots of woodwork, a huge beautiful bathroom with a soaking tub and artwork and books sprinkled throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed the treats and snacks provided: cookies, bagels, candy, fruit, homemade jams, tea and coffee. The host went out of her way to provide oat milk for my son. Her restaurant recommendations were spot on. I can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to stay here. I'll tell all my friends ! Highly recommended!!😀

After a sleepless night we are requesting a refund for the remaining 3 nights.
We were surprised by several issues in the unit that were not disclosed.
As previously mentioned, my husband is 6'4". As you would expect, he hit his head with on the low thresholds in both the front door and in the bathroom.
He barely cleared the ceiling throughout the unit.
We were also unaware of the difficulty in accessing the unit. The number of steps and slope of the vertical incline to enter the unit was also not disclosed. We had difficulty entering and exiting last night and this morning and cannot continue to do this.
Lastly, we were unaware that this was a basement unit with people living above us. We learned of this last night as, when attempting to sleep, we heard walking above us until midnight and again at 3:45 this morning which awakened us. We know under the terms of the agreement with VRBO, we are entitled to quiet enjoyment of the premises (something we did not experience last night or this morning)
We would forward to hearing from you and amicably settling this matter without involving VRBO.

This property was so wonderful for our long holiday weekend in Seattle. Starting from the check in process, everything was smooth and easy. The rooms and kitchen were great, and you really can’t beat the wonderful patio out front, we sat there for hours on end easily. The apartment was a close walk to a lot of good restaurants in Queen Anne and there is a bus stop just a 1 block walk away making it really easy to get around and explore Seattle.

Catherine (the owner) is a great communicator and a super nice person & host; she checked in on us a few times to make sure we had all that we needed. We stayed 8 days and the house was the right size for both of us. It seems to be a daylight basement. It has plenty of windows for light and it stays cool all day even when is warm outside. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is huge with extra nice water pressure from the shower head. Catherine provided continental breakfast a few times like sweet breads, bagels, also yogurt, granola, raisins, almonds, snacks, fruits, water, juice, and coffee beans, grinder, French press and organic cream. Sadly, about 3 days during the day which we stayed in for most of the day there was hammering noise from some floor work upstairs. It's hardwood floors downstairs; we assume upstairs too because you can hear the floors when we all walk. One suggestion we have is on the view from the porch. Looking at the photos on the property on this website, it looks that in the past the view was unobstructed from the porch (no vines obstructing the beautiful partial view of Puget Sound (one can see the ferries and cruises in and out of Seattle) as well as the sun/moon going down in the horizon towards Magnolia neighborhood; the actual chairs are nice, but not usable for some of us that cannot sit that low and have a difficult time getting up. Some normal chairs and stable side table to put the coffee and wine will be a plus.

Wonderful unit and nice host. Catherine provided breakfast (muffins, bagels, yogurt, granola, etc) snacks and coffee fixings. So thoughtful! We had a problem with the wifi and the owner fixed it immediately. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathroom with a large shower and and oversized bath were a bonus. However, the noise issue is worth mentioning. You can hear the people walking and moving around upstairs. My husband was hardly bothered, but I’m more sound sensitive and had trouble sleeping cause I heard everything even with earplugs in.

I stayed here along with my parents. The house was the perfect size for us and had everything we needed. The owner treated us to some muffins and bagels for our first morning view of the mountains and Elliot Bay. She even replenished the coffee beans during our stay! The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is like a spa. Communication with the owner was wonderful and she checked in on us to make sure we had all that we needed. Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.

This apartment was clean and tasteful. The host was gracious and helpful. The neighborhood is quiet and close to restaurants, a bakery and grocery store. There is a walkway that climbs a short hill, so if you are handicapped at all, it can be difficult. But the host is happy to offer dropping off baggage in alley above. If you don't mind a very short climb, it's great to park on street and walk up short walkway.

This was a lovely place to come back to after touring around daily and just the right size. The Ryan’s were great host, available and helpful and offered us a bottle of wine and nice goodies while we visited. Great choice for our first visit to Seattle!

Perfecto!
Property is located in the Queen Anne area....a first floor or basement walk out with a VIEW of the water. That's Seattle!! Check in was GREAT, we arrived late and she unlocked the door for us, had the light on and welcomed us with snacks. Refer had basics for bagel and OJ and water. Really thoughtful touches. Catherine delivered homemade cookies! EASY EASY EASY (and clean!!)

Seattle Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay, the view was beautiful, and the house was a warm and cozy place to be in a chilly week in Seattle. We loved that each room had its own thermostat (can you tell we are from Southern California?) The large kitchen made cooking and storing food easy, and the living room and enclosed front sitting area were perfect places to relax, enjoy the view, and have a cup of coffee. We will definitely be coming back!

Queen Anne VRBO
Great place with a great owner. Queen Anne is a nice area of Seattle--good location. Street parking and very comfy beds were a plus. There was a great shower too!
The owner was very generous with breakfast treats and body wash/ shampoo, conditioner and there was a well-stocked kitchen which we used. (Safeway and Trader Joe very close)
We normally don't watch a lot of TV--but the NCAA MARCH MADNESS was on, and we always like to watch the games. The TV is run by an antenna and did not work well during the NCAA games which was kind of a bummer. I didn't anticipate that.
Finally, we were a bit surprised by the additional fees. The advertised rate was much lower than the actual total once cleaning fees, service fees, and tax were added on. We were also charged an extra person fee. There were 3 of us in a two bedroom unit, so I did not expect an extra fee for only 3 people.
That being said, I am sure it's a lot of work to run a vrbo and I appreciate the opportunity to stay in homes rather than hotel rooms. It allows us to spread out a bit and stay in cute neighborhoods. I would stay here again if we return to the area. :)

Perfect location and good value
The house is centrally located and close to downtown but in a separate neighborhood. Queen Anne Hill is like a small town in the middle of a big city with its own restaurants and some amenities. The house is in a quiet neighborhood on a hill with a partial view if the sound. Our host was very accommodating and went beyond expectations by providing pastries, coffee, tea and many snacks. I can recommend this place and it’s a great value compared with hotel rooms.

Lovely Queen Anne stay
My husband and I stayed in this cozy and comfortable property for a week. We worked part of the days, went for long runs through the beautiful neighborhood and along the waterfront, and enjoyed the local bakeries and eateries of Queen Anne. We had everything we needed for a home away from home for a week. The property was very comfortable and the owner was very responsive to any questions or requests. We would stay again. We rented a car and I would suggest that if you want to see the various neighborhoods of Seattle. Wonderful stay!

Just a few short blocks from our daughter’s apartment, this gem of a place served us admirably.
