Fleur was very helpful and friendly. We appreciated the way she kept us informed and gave good advice about the city. The house was as promised and we had a wonderful stay!

Fleur has been hosting people in her wonderful home for years and it shows. She has wonderful local knowledge to share and the apartment is wonderful. We won’t stay anywhere else in Amsterdam!

My husband and our two 20-something daughters stayed with Fleur for 9 nights. Fleur's place was the perfect location outside the hustle and bustle of the city, but close enough to be in the city and at the museums within 15-20 minutes. We were very close to a couple of tram spots (5-6 minute slow walk) and within a 15-20 minute brisk walk of a couple of train stations (we liked to walk when the weather was nice instead of taking a bus or tram to the train stations for our day trips outside of the city). The breakfast was perfect and ready for us at our specified time each morning - fresh breads, meats, fruits, cheeses, eggs, tea, coffee, OJ, and more available each morning for a small extra fee (well worth it!). Breakfast time was when we would chat with Fleur about our previous day and gather tips from her for our upcoming day. We felt right at home from the moment we stepped into her place. We would stay here again if we were to return to Amsterdam for another visit.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful and stylish home in a quiet part of Amsterdam where the city center is easily accessible via public transportation. The host, Fleur, was warm and gracious and full of good advice re: places of interest to visit—and those to avoid. Her homemade traditional breakfast, which she prepared for us in her kitchen, was so delicious—not to be missed! All in all, the best vacation rental experience our family has had.

We spent three delightful days with Fleur and her family while we explored Amsterdam. Fleur was very helpful in giving us recommendations for what to do and how to get around Amsterdam. She also added nice touches like having a bowl of chocolate treats and beverages in our room. We definitely recommend taking advantage of the delicious breakfast, with eggs cooked how you like, pastries, meat and cheeses, fruit, juice, tea and coffee (I miss those cappuccinos!)…We loved it and it was well worth the small cost. If we come back to Amsterdam, we will definitely stay here again to enjoy the warm hospitality of Fleur and her family.

We had a wonderful stay with Fleur and Coen and it really augmented our trip to Amsterdam. Their house is beautiful and charming, and offered an opportunity to let our toddler sleep in a quiet room away from the main action in the house, which made it easier for us as parents to relax and enjoy our trip. Fleur and acorn were extremely warm and welcoming and helped us out in many ways during our five day stay, and were always very responsive.
Our visit was not a typical visit, in that we used to live in Amsterdam in Fleur and Coen’s area. In that respect, we are maybe a bit biased, but we felt it was still an ideal location in the city to be based in, not only because the neighbourhood itself is delightful but because it is easy to access transit as well as trains for day trips to Utrecht or farther afield.
We really enjoyed our stay with Fleur and Coen and would hope to stay with them again next time we go back to Amsterdam.

Staying with Fleur and her family is like staying with old friends in Amsterdam. The guest rooms are comfortable, quiet and well-appointed; breakfast is generous and delicious; and Fleur has good local knowledge that she is happy to share. The house is conveniently located near the main tram line into the center of Amsterdam and the museums. A perfect stay.

We had a lovely time staying with Fleur and Coen. The rooms are extremely comfortable and spacious, with the perfect mix of charm and convenience. The breakfasts were wonderful with a variety of options, all incredibly tasty and filling (so much so that, as other reviewers have said, we didn't feel like we even needed lunch!). The home is comfortably away from the hustle of central Amsterdam but close enough that all attractions, sights, and restaurants can be reached via a short tram or train ride. It was great to stay in a pleasant, green neighborhood with its own shops and restaurants. All of that said, the hosts themselves are the best part! Fleur and Coen are warm, friendly, welcoming hosts full of information about the area, suggestions about things to do, and practical guidance. They provided everything we needed but never got in our way. Plus. the children loved the chickens and cat! This was an ideal vacation home for our family, and we strongly recommend it!

We did a short trip to Amsterdam, at first to go to some concerts, and to visit this wonderful city. Fleur is a wonderful person (and she speaks a bit of french if you need) and her home is fabulous. Almost 100 years old, typical, with 2 great bedrooms with private showers and toilets. Fleur will give you a contact to rent bikes, then you are 15 to 20 minutes from town center.
Breakfast are gorgeous as you can easily skip the lunch.
If we go back to see our favourite band to their annual concert in Amsterdam, I'm sure we will stop there again :-)

Fleur took an hour sitting at her kitchen table with us to review not just the house but the neighborhood and how to navigate using the tram and bus or walking. It was MORE than helpful because we immediately felt adventurous and excited to blend into the area. Seeing school children, moms and dads picking them up from school on bikes...we were living in their neighborhood.
Also...I was there with my closest friends and would be celebrating my 70th birthday while there. When I came down for breakfast there were decorations, little plastic "70" sticks in chocolate covered pastries and croissants., a banner and two blow-up numbers - 7 and 0 !! It was the sweetest gesture and her husband came in when she sang happy birthday to me.
If I go to Amsterdam again I would plan to stay with Fleur. I LOVED being away from the hustle and bustle of the city center and rather, being immersed in a neighborhood for a walk to a restaurant or a pharmacy or a bike store. I felt safe and happy there.

We had a great stay at Fleur and Coen’s home! Very welcoming and comfortable. Morning breakfasts were fantastic and so filling that we didn’t need to eat lunch! Fleur was very informative and gave us lots of tips to the city. Location is wonderful! Very quiet and so easy to get into the city. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to our friends. Thank you Fleur and Coen for your wonderful hospitality! You made our stay in Amsterdam very enjoyable.

Good stay I’m Amsterdam. It was a more traditional b&b experience in that we were staying with someone in their home. Host was friendly and knowledgeable. Quiet but convenient location.

We enjoyed staying here! The room was comfortable. Nearby restaurants were amazing, Olido pizza and Restaurant 1900. Tram was close by, and easy to use. We visited Anne Frank house, which was such a special experience. Our host also suggested Museum Our Lord in the Attic, which was so interesting to see and learn more about the ‘churches in houses’ in Amsterdam. Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum, we’re both terrific. Our host gave us great insider advice, and made sure we had arrangements to get to the airport on time on our last day.

We loved our stay!! It was the highlight of our vacation, having been to several other cities. The location is perfect; very accessible and quick access to really any part of the city. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Amsterdam, we would stay again in a heartbeat.

This VRBO was the shining star of every place we stayed on our 5 city trip! Fleur is the most considerate host I've ever stayed with, she's very happy to give advice (and the most delicious breakfast) but also gives space! We had a great experience with a canal tour that she recommended, as well as had a great experience with the bike rental shop she recommended. The location was perfect, easily accessible by tram or bike, with plenty to do in the neighbourhood. As well, the room was clean and welcoming with easy check-in. Thank you Fleur!

Fleur and her husband were excellent hosts, offering suggestions for bike rides and places to check out during our stay. Their home is lovely and the neighborhood can't be beat: beautiful, safe, vibrant -- but also outside of the Amsterdam party zone, which we appreciated. Breakfast was delicious, and it was very pleasant chatting with Fleur while we ate. I would definitely recommend!!! :)

My husband and I traveled here with our three children and loved our stay! Very friendly family and very accommodating as well! We felt at home and had no concerns. The breakfast was the highlight of my day everyday! I literally looked forward to waking up just to eat! Hahaha! We were provided with a map and suggestions for places to go as well as the best times to visit since this was our first visit. I absolutely adore this family and highly recommend their home.

Fleur d’Amsterdam! We have just left Amsterdam and we leave with the warmest and most satisfied feeling of having experienced the best this city had to offer and full score and credit goes to Fleur. She opened her home -to be our home -and then gave us the best info and guidance to fill our days to properly and efficiently see what the city had to offer. Her home was kitch-y,eclectic, art-y, warm, and open for our enjoyment and comfort. Our rooms were cozy and bath/showers were great. Location-Close to the trams and transport and the location allowed us to be out of the fray but still in the action. Our neighbourhood also had great cafes -Restaurant 1900 for one-and we felt 100% safe coming home whatever the hour. I highly recommend Fleur’s property for the genuine warmth and comfort a home can offer. And I almost forgot two things.... Bamboo who has become my most favourite cat .... and Fleur’s breakfast table that she prepared for us each morning- D I V I N E. The four of us agree.... one of the best homes we have found -and certainly Fleur is the best hostess and newest best friend. Thank you ❤️

What a treat it was to be welcomed into someone’s home as we were by Fleur in Amsterdam. Such a personable woman along with her husband, Coen. A real pleasure to converse with and what fonts of information. Fleur’s love and passion for Amsterdam was quite evident as she related bits of history and other information about her city and region. Returning to stay with her is not in question, just a matter of how soon and length of visit. Thanks again to Fleur and Coen.Lawrence and Penny, Steve and Nancy

From the moment we arrived to our last day Fleur was fantastic. She showed us to our rooms and then shortly after had a street map out and asked us what we would like to see and she mapped it out for us. She made a dinner reservation for us that night as well. Her breakfasts she made in the morning were delicious and filled you up. She was very knowledgeable and gave us great ideas of things to do and see. One morning she even drove us to our meeting point for our Kinderdijk tour. Truly above and beyond. Such a wonderful person. I would highly recommend staying at Fleur d Amsterdam if anyone is traveling to Amsterdam. We want to come back and if we do will definitely stay there again.
