Telluride Benchmark House is an alpine ski-in & ski-out private luxury home located trail-side on the Galloping Goose ski run in the heart of the Tellluride ski resort. Adjacent to the home is the Uncompahgre National Forest. The home is situated at 10,001' altitude with spectacular mountain views, and is surrounded by towering Aspens and Pines and completely hidden at the end of a private road for complete seclusion.
* Telluride is different. Don't look for a Wal-Mart, a gas station, a neon sign, a lift-line or even a single traffic light - there are none! Nestled in a 'box canyon' and surrounded by the steep-forested San Juan Mountains, the topography of this historic mining town makes growth in any direction impossible! The entire town is designated as a historical district and maintains a small 'mining-town' charm, with strictly-governed Victorian architecture. Explore the abandoned mining camps and frontier ghost towns which dot the hillsides.
* Mountain Village is Telluride's sister town located on the mountain, in the heart of the ski area. A european-style alpine community nestled high above Telluride at 9,500+ elevation. The towns are connected by a free gondola system operating over the mountain tops. * Dining room - A dining table seating ten guests comfortably with mountain views and easy access to outside deck.
* Kitchen - A fully-furnished gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and a seven-person breakfast nook.
* Bedroom #2 - A large bedroom with queen pillow-top bed, library of leather-bound classics, TV, easy access to hot tub and deck.
* Deck - A large deck with a Weber barbecue grill and majestic views of the San Juan mountains and starry skies by night.
* Hot Tub - Hot tub with ski-run and mountain views! Our hot tub is professionally maintained at least twice per week for peak performance and comfort.
* Bath - A full bath on the main floor for quick access to fluffy towels and a warm shower after the hot tub.
* Garage - A two-car heated garage with an additional refrigerator and freezer. The garage is also equipped with several mountain bikes and recreational equipment.

Please note that while we do our best to regularly maintain our bikes, they do break down at times and we rely on guests to let us know if there are any issues that need to be fixed. Because of this, we cannot guarantee the condition of every single bike upon your arrival. We ask that if you are looking to do some hardcore mountain or planning your trip around the trails that you bring or rent your own bike for your stay with us. Safety is always our main concern, so please make sure to check the bikes before heading downhill and we recommend bringing/wearing your own helmet so that you are safe and comfortable. If any issues do arise with a certain bike, please set that bike to the side and contact us. We will then do our best to get it fixed with one of the local shops. We were very please with our stay at this unit. The views around the area were amazing and pictures do not do it justice. The property was clean and roomy and had all the items we needed for our stay and even extras. We would love to visit again.

The property was perfect and location was even better. Everything at the house was welcoming and the entire family enjoyed the long weekend. Beautiful location, night sky and quiet at all hours. The perfect place for a getaway.

We stayed here with a few friends and family (13 of us total) while we were in town for our elopement/microwedding. It was PERFECT! Everyone had their own space with beds to spare. We absolutely loved our stay and dream of coming back with friends and family for an anniversary in a few years.

Had a wonderful time with friends and family. The lodge was beautiful and the setting was fantastic. We really enjoyed and appreciated the ride service provided in Mt. Village. Once we arrived we didn’t have to use our vehicles again and could go anywhere we needed with the service and the gondola down into Telluride. Communication with the owners and property manager was prompt, courteous and helpful.

I can’t recommend this house enough, we enjoyed every aspect of our stay here. The location is amazing, ski in/ski out, and dial a ride included for anywhere else you want to go. The house is amazing and stocked with everything you could want or need. The hot tub is in great condition, clean, warm, and full of water. I have nothing but great things to say about this property, stay here if you can!

Fantastic House and Experience
This house was more than we anticipated! It fit our family of 21 without any problems! We never felt like we were on top of each other, there were two refrigerators for all of our food, the game room was amazing, and the views were incredible! I highly recommend this house. It helped make our trip phenomenal!

The house and property were amazing. Could have been cleaner though. Kitchen and linens had to be cleaned. Also, many bicycles were available but only one worked. Disappointing.

The bottom floor allowed the kids to play games, while the middle floor served as the adult hangout and meal station. You could literally walk out the back door and ski down a double green to the base of the mountain. So convenient. Dial a ride to the village market never required a wait of over 10 minutes. Once there you could easily access the gondola to Telluride. Super convenient with beautiful views. I give this place a 10/10. I hope we will be back in the near future. It’ll be hard to top this special ski town and home.

A comfortable home in a beautiful location
This home was perfect for our group of 12. There are plenty of bedrooms and large living and deck areas. The kitchen is well-equipped, though there are not quite enough drinking glasses and no champagne flutes. That is my only complaint. There is a gorgeous view of mountains, though the view is somewhat obscured by beautiful aspen trees. Our host was helpful and very nice. We had a wonderful time and would love to return to this property!

Ages ranged from 11 to 74 and there was plenty of room to gather and play some of the many available games but also get some alone time. Our only negative was that, despite the high quality throughout the house, some of the master bath towels were a bit beyond their life with thin spots and frayed edges. The positives, though, vastly exceeded this minor negative. Thanks for your role in a successful family gathering.

This is overall the best of many rentals we have stayed at with a big group. The home is very spacious, and the views are absolutely stunning! It is a natural ski-in ski-out, and the shuttle service provided to the nearby first class gondola rides was very convenient. John and Julie were very attentive and helpful. Wonderful and memorable experience for everyone!

The home's location defines ski-in, ski-out and was incredibly convenient during COVID as we were avoiding crowded restaurants and bathrooms. It's located on one of the easier green runs (Galloping Goose) so our children ranging in age from 5-10 years old were very able to ski down from the home. The home has comfortable beds, an amazing deck with hot tub, great games/toys for the kids and a large, functional kitchen. All twelve of the children could sleep in the downstairs "kids lair", wake up in the morning and play fusball and shuffleboard without waking up their parents...simply priceless.The owners, John and Julie, were very accommodating and excellent communicators, as was their on site property manager. We hope to come back to Telluride, make more memories and stay in their beautiful home again.

This was a very positive experience for our entire group. Our overall impression of the property was very positive and we would highly recommend this property to others. The location is fantastic (ski in & ski out - only 38 steps from the Galloping Goose Green Run), the house is very large and accommodating, and the management team is very responsive and helpful. The house itself is large, clean and well stocked with linens, towels and other incidentals. I would highly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle as the driveway is somewhat steep. Again, I would give this property a 5-star rating and recommend this to others!
