This house worked great for our three kids and us. You can walk to the beach easily. The streets are a little gnarly for driving, but the views from the house are absolutely gorgeous.

Our family enjoyed everything about our rental house, the view, deck with a grill, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen since we cooked many nights and easy access by walking to Alki Beach. So many great adventures so close, whale watching, Mt Rainer hiking, swimming and fire pits at Alki Beach. Our host was helpful and highly responsive.

Great location for visiting Seattle. Water taxi (ferry) is a 20 min walk or 8 mins on a Lime bike/scooter (there are lots available). Alki beach has volleyball and kayaks and several eateries. House has 2 balconies, top one off bedroom has stunning views.
Separate double bedroom on lower ground floor with own bathroom is great for bigger groups. Would stay again for sure if in the area again.

All went great but we did have a slight issue finding the house, lol. House was all we needed. If only the trees were shorter we would be able to view the sound from the 1st balcony. Thank you again Dale for a wonderful home.

Nice spacious home in a safe West Seattle neighborhood. Well equipped home with lots of utensils, spices etc in the kitchen. Sadly the view from the main deck is obscured by trees and another home. The beach access is an exillerating 175 steps! Lots of restaurants and cafes etc on the beach area. Free local bus service which takes you to a water taxi to downtown. A really nice, comfortable property, and we would stay here again.

Spent a week at location. The views from the house are fantastic. The location is very convenient to sightsee all over Seattle and get from/to the airport. Alki Beach itself is only mildly interesting and disappointingly loud at night (motorbikes, cars revving). The house and its amenities, as well as it views, were the highlight of the stay in Alki Beach. The access to Seattle is excellent. Communication with owner was great. Strongly recommend!

Spent three days here with my spouse and 2 (almost 3) year old. The house had everything we needed. We really appreciated the toys that were available and even though my little one slept in one of the twin beds, there was a pack n play if we had needed it!
Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the AC throughout the house kept rooms at a nice temp at night. The views were amazing and the stairs down the hill made it super easy to go to the beach or walk to get food. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice house and very comfortable. Convenient for travelers who want to stay close to Seattle sites without staying downtown. Narrow, hilly streets were a little tricky to navigate. Would stay there again.

Great experience for a family of 8. Nice surprises such as heated bathroom floors, large washer and dryer, and fans in every room!

Dale was great to communicate with, and the views from his house are beautiful! We loved the area and the space we had in the house for our family. The only downside for us was the bed upstairs was hard and uncomfortable, so my husband and I didn’t get a lot of sleep. Also, the dishes in the cabinet were dirty, so we had to run a load before we ate there. But overall, we enjoyed our time at Alki beach and exploring Seattle.

Perfect for our family of five. Easy walk down the stairs to the beach and access to multiple restaurants. Had a hard time finding it at first and Dale was easily reachable and responsive all weekend. Perfect accommodations and great views for exploring the Seattle area.

A perfect spot, close to family, downtown, and beach. Bed and sheets were so comfortable. Lots of great restaurants close by. Had a great stay.

We enjoyed out stay. The house was great and well appointed. Our host was very nice and helpful. We loved the location. Great views of the water, close to restaurants and easy access to Seattle.

Perfect views of the sound with the mountains on the horizon in a very attractive and comfortable setting. The single lane roads were not too challenging getting there, and the carport was easy to access. The arrangements were very welcoming and even with our group of 8 there was plenty of space.

Having stayed in several other sections of Seattle on different trips, this is definitely the best way to see a different side of Seattle and yet be close enough to easily enjoy what downtown and the waterfront has to offer. The views from this property are just wonderful, the path/trail along the beach/waterfront beautiful to take a nice walk on and enjoy the bay/sound and city skyline…and a short walk or drive to the water taxi takes you to downtown city in 15 minutes!! The ferry taxi itself was immensely enjoyable.
Both Queen/king sized bedrooms were very comfortable, albeit a bit tight for room, but the little porch off the upstairs one with it’s incredible views made up for that!
The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and dining in, and there was even a nice tablecloth on the dining table making it feel homey and lovely.
Only drawback is the extremely tight and narrow as well as steep and curvy streets to get in and out. Def do NOT recommend a van or similar sized vehicle, altho we made it work.
Overall def recommend as a more laid back way to stay in Seattle vs. downtown.

Our stay was amazing. The house was clean and very nicely furnished. The deck gives way to an amazing view and the beach is a short walk down some stairs. There's plenty of great food options nearby as well.

The stay was pleasant. We enjoyed the house. Friends and family also enjoyed visiting the house. Alki is a great neighborhood. Excellent location next to the stairs leading to the beach.

This was our 2nd time in Seattle and this house was great for our family. The views are spectacular and there are some awesome restaurants close by.

We had a great stay at this house overlooking Puget Sound, views of the Olympic range and steps (steep ones!) away from Alki Beach. We were in the city for a wedding and loved staying here. We had seven adults staying comfortably. Loved the house and the kitchen is very well stocked (pots, pans, dish ware, glasses, herbs etc.). Grocery stores nearby. Great to have an off-road parking spot too in the narrow streets overlooking Alki. We enjoyed the views, had gorgeous weather and saw orcas in the distance one day!

This house is very nice. The location is near the top of a hill in some tight roads but the views out the windows are great! It is well kept up and having a carport to park in was great! Communication was clear and quick. Having the heated tiles in the bathroom was the icing on the cake!

We enjoyed our first visit to seattle and will be back.

This was the perfect home for us to spend Memorial Day Weekend at. The views are stunning and there are multiple outside areas to enjoy. These include a nice large deck and a sweet garden area. The kitchen had everything we needed and was well supplied. This is a great home to have time together and also some private time apart. Definitely hope to come back!

Clean. Kitchen well stocked. Cozy. Close to stairway to beach. Felt safe. Beds comfortable.

Wonderful stay! Our family of five rented the property over the holidays for several months. It was clean, well stocked, and a short walk down to Alki Beach. The property owner was very accommodating, allowing us to come early to avoid an ice storm and even brought holiday decorations to make the house feel like home. Would highly recommend.

So perfectly located and the home has all you need. Perfect for adults traveling with children. You can walk down to the beach and there are so many restaurants to choose from, you honestly don't need a car. The pedestrian ferry will take you to downtown Seattle (Pike's Place, Aquarium, etc.) The owners are really great about communicating with the guests and they have everything you need for cooking full meals.

Great location and views. The home is reasonably well-appointed.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property. Perfect location just steps to Alki beach and wonderful views of the Sound. I would highly recommend this home.

This is the perfect location and place to explore Seattle and the PNW! Dale is super responsive and offers a wonderful overall experience

This property is 5 star excellent...from the location to the interior. The interior photos shown are exactly what you get...it is really that nice. What you can't appreciate in the pics is how it is nestled in such a lush and serene setting with beautiful native bushes, trees and shrubbery. The size of the home was perfect for us, 4 adults. EVERYTHING you need is provided. The view from the main floor is great and the top floor was even better. It was great to have our own parking but Uber is available. Alki Beach is such a quaint, quiet and family friendly community and we ate at many of the local restaurants along the strip. People watching on the beach was the first thing we did. We are dog lovers and it was nice to see so many people walking their fur babies. The water taxi is nearby which takes you to downtown Seattle for free...and the views you get of the water and skyline are unbelievably beautiful. Our stay was 5 days and we truly were not ready to leave. This is a definite keeper of places we will revisit. Thanks Dale!!!

Well appointed kitchen. Quiet and convenient location. Beds were comfy. Outdoor areas need tidied up, as in remove the planters with dead stuff in them and fill in the large bare dirt sections (that attracts animals and smells like cat pee).

We rented this place (one of four houses) for a family reunion and celebration of our 50th anniversary. The kitchen was large and well stocked for family meals. The deck was nice for eating, drinking and socializing. The downstairs bedroom was large, quiet, and private. The two upstairs bedrooms were comfortable and had nice windows for cross ventilation. The view from the upper deck was beautiful.

Beautiful sunsets, great family visit

Great home base to explore west Seattle, greater Seattle and take a ferry (Fauntleroy) to explore the Kitsap peninsula . They had toys for our young children and a baby gate for our youngest. Fun stay!

What a gem! Having never been to West Seattle, I was not sure what to expect and everything about our experience exceeded expectations. I appreciated the accuracy of the amenities' listing, as well as the property description, and the prompt and thorough communications from Dale. Check in was easy and although the house is situated within a maze of very narrow and winding streets off the main beach road, we had no trouble finding it. The house binder had a map of where to take the stairs down to avoid the roads. Fair waring - the walk up and down from the beach to the house is steep and may be a challenge for some, but if you need to get in your FitBit steps or extra exercise, the trek is definitely for you! If not, we found that locals like to sleep in and we often found that things along the beach didn't even open until later in the morning, so beach parking on the earlier side of the day was no problem. Dale's home was just perfect as our base for exploring downtown Seattle, visiting area colleges, and ferrying over to Vashon Island for the day. The home is clean, comfortable, and literally has everything needed to feel at home. We joked that if the home didn't have it, we'd seriously question why it would even be needed. There is a fabulous view from the small balcony off one of the upstairs bedrooms and a wonderful main deck. There was everything needed for meal preparation on the mornings/evenings we did not dine out. Do visit Cactus for a great dinner and watch the sunset. We had a yummy breakfast at Alki Beach Café before taking the free shuttle to the water taxi that got us over to downtown Seattle for a day of exploring Pike Place Market. The home is a short drive to the ferry terminal that took us over to Vashon Island where we reserved ebikes. Definitely visit Snapdragon Bakery and Nashi Vineyards if you explore there. We were sad to leave after such a short time, and would rent from Dale in a heartbeat should our travels take us back to Seattle. A wonderful stay and great memories!

The property was perfect for our family (6 adults, 2 kids). We enjoyed the scenic area and the house had everything we needed for some relaxing meals on the deck followed by good rests.

Great home, in a great area.

Really enjoyed staying at this place. Alki is very interesting and nice -- although it will be better when the West Seattle Bridge is complete. The house is great.

Short walk to the strip & Alki beach. House is completely updated, and has original charm. Loved it! Hope to come again! Thank you Dale for everything.

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here. The views from the deck and the upstairs balcony were breathtaking, and the kitchen was very functional for all our meals. Access to the beach could not have been more convenient, and the West Seattle community offered a quiet retreat, but it was still really easy to get downtown when we wanted. I would love to stay again if I'm ever in Seattle
