About this villa rental
Located in scenic Sandyport, this luxury house is a steal. It has a lot of character and is truly a home away from home.
This gated community provides tennis courts, pools and playgrounds for children. Just 10 minutes away from the airport, it is conveniently located to every attraction imaginable! Delaporte Beach, restaurants, banks, food store and even the gym are located in walking distance. Best of all, there is a bus stop directly in front of the gate - and downtown is only a bus ride away!
Several great restaurants are near by. This is the perfect family vacation home. It has it's own pool, generator and dock at the canal. If you bring your own boat, ask for special arrangements and dock rental.
Since you are staying in a gated community, your kids can zoom around without restrictions. The house comes with two bicycles, a kayak (taken by the hurricane - replacement in process) to explore miles of also gated canals, full of marine live.
If you are a scuba diver, we can arrange for a temporary membership in the Bahamas Dive Club, which comes with substantial savings and benefits at local dive operators.
There is a fee of $100 for a 90 day temporary membership
Furniture, garden landscape, art and decoration in the house might change and therefore deviate from the pictures.
the AC is usually locked at a temperature appropriate for the Bahamas.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house has all the amenities you would want. I would suggest that 3 of the mattresses could be updated but otherwise a great place to stay.

Mr. Siam's house and the Sandyport community overall are lovely. However, we had several issues, mainly with communication, that complicated our vacation.
When we requested to book in August for a December stay, Mr. Siam informed us he had not updated his prices for winter. After some back and forth, we ended up paying $1,600 more than his originally listed price. As we were booking pretty late in the season, (less than 10% of properties were still available) our options were limited, so we booked anyway.
When we arrived, we discovered that Sandyport is a gated community of residents; short-term rentals are frowned upon by management. Mr. Siam has an agreement with them, but we were still questioned repeatedly by security every time we entered the community and were even pulled over and forced to call Mr. Siam to prove that we were renting his property. We also weren't given instructions on how to reach the house, so we had to circle the community repeatedly (apparently there are several houses with the same house number).
The house does not have any written instructions or manuals; Mr. Siam's property manager, Charlene, met us and explained how most things worked but did not know how to use the outdoor speakers or adjust the A/C. We then discovered Mr. Siam set a limit on the thermostat, preventing us from cooling the house to anything below 78 degrees. He said this was because of previous guests who set the cooling at 62. We were able to negotiate with him to let us cool the house to 72. Later, when the air conditioner leaked through the ceiling halfway through our stay, he raised the temperture to 78 again for 24 hours while repair people came to fix the leak. The repair people gave the all-clear and we asked for the temperature to be lowered again, but it took him 12 hours to respond.
Reading in the listing that Nespresso pods were hard to buy on the island, we planned to bring them with us as advised. We asked whether it was a Vertuo or original, since they use different types of pods. We were told Vertuo. The machine was in fact an original Nespresso, so the pods we were told to bring did not work. There was a drip coffeemaker, but it was broken. Eventually, Mr. Siam had Charlene supply us with the correct pods.
All in all, I wish we had booked earlier in the year so we had more options available to us. Mr. Siam's house is just not set up for rentals and he is unfortunately difficult to communicate with.

Casa Siam was perfect for what we needed for a family get-together! Charleen assisted with any questions once on site and leading up to the reservation Nordin helped us coordinate not only the amazing club access (definitely a must do!) but also a slip at the marina for guests who were arriving by boat.We were 6 adults and 2 small kids and the house was great. We spent most of our time outside and cooked all meals at home between the perfectly appointed kitchen and the grill on the patio!Highly recommended!!!

Casa Siam....Simply Amazing!!!!
When I researched a place to stay, Casa Siam had all 5 star reviews...now I know why!!!
This was our first time traveling to the Bahamas as a family and we loved the experience! Casa Siam is the perfect place for any size family (we had 9) with plenty of space to wine & dine, play card games, swim and even spend some alone time! The back deck and pool area is spacious, beautiful and allows for comfortable unwinding after a long beach day! There are plenty of restaurants and beaches within walking distance as well as buses and taxis to take you up an down the island. Nothing is too far away from Casa Siam! Our families favorite restaurant was this little Italian restaurant called Capriccio's...with a Chicken Parmesan dinner to die for!
Casa Siam is in a gated community which gave us a great sense of safety, security and privacy...yet allowed us to be very close (walking distance) to all worthwhile activities. This was truly our best vacation yet!!!
Nordin was a very friendly and accomodating host...we will definitely return in the near future.
Thank you Nordin Siam!!!

Great house, Close, but not too close to tourism attractions
Great house just outside the tourist areas. We stayed for 8 days over Christmas. There were 8 of us. Sleeping accommodations were perfect; 1 king and 3 queens. Outside covered patio area was beautiful to hang out, play cards, and enjoy the warm Bahamian air. Pool was perfect to cool off or let the kids splash around. There is a larger community pool for laps a few houses down and was practically a private pool as no one was ever there. Large charcoal grill was nice for steak dinners. Highly recommend Solomans for groceries. There are a couple other places closer, but Solomans is worth the extra 10 mins drive for fresh fish, produce, and meat. We rented a van. House is about a 20-25 mins drive to Atlantis and less than 10 to the Baha Mahr for a nice casino. Strongly suggest a car. Didn’t see a lot of other transportation options. Mr. Siam was very helpful and pleasant as well as his assitant Charlene. Only downside was water pressure in the showers. Very light (I prefer hard pressure) but that is probably just the way it is in the Bahamas:) Kitchen is well stocked. We couldn’t figure out how to use the can opener and we are pretty resourceful so either needs a new one or ask how to use!:) We chose to utilize the guest membership to Mr. Siam’s Old Fort Bay Club for a small daily charge. Absolutely beautiful beach!!! Definitely a must and worth the money. If going during peak time may need to wait for towels and a chair, but the sand is soft and clean so we sat on the beach and was in the water as we waiting for an open seat. If you don’t mind staying on the beach and seeing the ocean from your room, this is a great choice! Will definetly stay again.

Beautiful house, great location!
We had a wonderful stay at the canal property. The house itself is lovely, with spacious rooms on the second floor, and a big open dining room/living room on the main level. Everything was clean and well maintained. We loved the covered outdoor patio, and ate breakfast and lunch out there everyday. There is a speaker outside so you can listen to music, and being right by the canal makes the air a little cooler and gives you great views. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed, and they even got a drip coffee maker for the kitchen at our request. (the nespresso machine is nice, but you need to bring your own pods, and after a few days we found we were going through more of them than we thought we would, and getting dangerously close to running out of coffee :o ) . The only improvement i would suggest, is that the knives in the kitchen were very dull and could use a sharpening.
The grocerystore and liquor store are a 10 minute walk away which was really convienent, and there is a small secluded beach a 5 minute walk away. We have stayed on the island before, in a house that is further west, and preferred this location. It is close to ammenities, but still far enough away from downtown so you avoid the crowds.
All in all, a wonderful vacation spot!

Great Family House
We spent Christmas to New Year's at this Sandyport home. Home is what it truly is. The outdoor living area is spacious with both shade and sun. The lounge chairs are comfortable. There was enough room for eight adults to hang out. The pool provided refreshing dips when the sun got too hot. Inside the home, the kitchen is well stocked with all kinds of pots, pans, bakeware, utensils, etc. We cooked most dinners in and had all we needed for preparation. The sleeping arrangements worked out well, the beds were comfortable.
We appreciated having the back-up generator when the power went out. We didn't skip a beat. We made use of the bicycles and were able to ride around the community. The location worked well for us - quiet and relaxing. We were able to walk over to the beach to watch spectacular fireworks on New Year's Eve.
The owner, Nordin Siam, was very helpful. He met our party to make sure that we settled in easily. I would highly recommend staying there.

YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS!
My family just spent a wonderful 2-week holiday in Nassau, the Bahamas. It was not my first stay Nassau, but Previously I choosing various hotels on the Paradise Island and Cable Beach. This time there were six of us including two kids, so we decided to rent a villa to get s better deal and have enough space to spread out a bit. And that was the right choice! The Villa Siam is located in Sandy Port out West on the Cable beach in an upscale private residential area featuring all u need for a relaxed vacation with your family including tennis courts, swimming pools, cayaking, etc. The villa is spaciously furnished in colonial style and has all possilbe amenities that you may need during your stay and should you need anything extra, Chalean was always there on the telephone to help us. My special thanx to her for being so friendly and helpful. Need to mention that Villa Siam is one of the few fully detached housings with a private pool in Sandy Port, which basically made the day for my kids swimming and horsing arround 24/7. As regards food, there is a number of nice restaurants rangind from 5 to 15 minutes drive, and at least 3 supermarkets around. Although we cooked a lot everyone should give a try to some local specials. My suggestion would b the local Conch salad at the little stall by the Compass Point (5 min drive). This is a Bahamian specialty made of a shell-dwelling mollusk, fruit and veggies very fresh and delicious. Do not ask to make it spicy though: "spicy" has a different meaning for the Bahamians))). One more thing to mention is that the owner of the Villa agreed to arrange for a temporary membership at the Old Fort Club, which is an exquisite facility reserved only for members with an exellent restaurant and gorgeous beach. It goes as a separate service under special arrangement, bur it is 100% worth the money you pay.

It is a beautiful, well maintained property with nice amenities.
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Siam very much. There were seven of us and the bedrooms and bathrooms were more than sufficient to our needs. The living area and the outdoor deck/pool area are spacious and comfortable. The owner greeted us upon our arrival and familiarized us with the house and it's operation. We had no problems and everything was in working order. The two bikes and the kayak made available to us were also put to good use. We found this accommodation to be a good value compared to individual Sandyport hotel rooms.

Thoroughly Enjoyable
My friends and I stayed here over Spring break and we had an absolutely wonderful time. The house is beautiful and the kitchen is fully stocked. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and the pool was pristine.
Mr. Siam checked in with us as soon as we arrived and his property manager Charleen made sure we had everything we needed.
We took advantage of the large grill several nights and one of us even slept on the patio one night! The neighborhood is very quiet and very safe. Much cheaper then a hotel and much, much nicer.

Perfect Getaway
I come to Nassau regularly, and only stay in houses. I have stayed in this house more than once - it is really one of the best choices on the island. In the secure environs of Sandyport, its mature trees and landscaping give it a real seclusion. Wonderful open living, a chefs kitchen, fabulous outdoor deck and pool. The beach attached to Sandyport is rarely occupied, never crowded, and only a short walk. Food shopping is very close, and, Sandyport being right on West Bay St, the local jitney buses are perfect for getting to town. This house is now my first choice whenever I am in The Bahamas!

Wonderful Christmas holidays
We spent three weeks over Christmas and New Year in this wonderful Sandyport home with our two teenagers and the parents in-law. As for the amenities check out the review of Karin R.S. to which I fully agree. I would like to add that the owner and his assistant were both very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We appreciated the Christmas tree that they set up for us and that made us feel at home over the holidays. The patio / pool / garden area is beautiful and we spent many hours reading books on the chaise lounges and relax and watching the kids having fun in the pool. The place is very peaceful and quiet. There are many book and board games in the house and we all enjoyed them a lot. We also spent many hours sitting on the dock and watching the turtles and eagle rays swim by. The kids went swimming and snorkeling in the canal and discovered more treasures like lobsters and conch. A big asset was the ocean kayak that allows you to discover the canals and paddle to the beach. Our kids used the two bikes to visit their friends and my husband enjoyed the flat terrain for jogging. Cars are only allowed 15 mph so very safe for smaller children to ride their bikes or do some inline skating. To keep in touch with the family back home we were happy about the wireless internet. There are many good Restaurants around Sandyport that are not listed in the wine and dine guide. First of all Spritz, a casual and very family friendly place with Italian food at the Olde Town of Sandyport. A place where residents hang out with family and friends. I would also like to mention Social House with amazing Sushi and Blue Sail for its fantastic location on the beach. For healthy lunches with fresh Salads go to Chives, Studiocafe or Goodfellow Farms. They grow their own vegetables and fruits and sell them in their outdoor restaurant or in the store on the farm. Not far from Goodfellow is also Clifton Heritage National Park with beautiful beaches and good snorkeling opportunities.

Awesome place to stay!
Couldn't have asked for a better Bahamian vacation! This beautiful Sandyport home is located in a very nice gated residential neighborhood within walking distance of the beach, tennis and basketball courts and in close proximity of shopping, restaurants and grocery stores. The house had the space we needed to accommodate all of us and enough room to spread out a bit. There are four bedrooms and 2 ½ baths, and a large open space kitchen/dining/living room area opening onto the deck/patio area that provided plenty of opportunity to relax. All the bedrooms are located on the second floor and the master bedroom, as well as one other bedroom have very spacious balconies overlooking the back yard and canal. Of course there's a (large) TV in the living room, air-conditioning in all the rooms, comfortable furniture and even a washing machine and dryer are available! All the rooms were clean and had everything we needed for our stay.
Our favorite part of the house was the large deck/patio and pool area. This is a great space to entertain or relax. We used the outside dining area (seats 8) and BBQ on the covered patio daily as we were constantly outside for our meals. There is also a very comfortable sectional where you can lounge and have a glass of wine and enjoy the beautiful view of the pool and canal. The perfect way to relax!
Around the pool area is a wonderful well maintained garden and more comfortable outdoor seating (a cabana and several chaise lounges) to enjoy the sun and there is also an outdoor shower available. The pool was a welcome retreat from the afternoon heat or for a late night dip!
I would highly recommend this place to everyone. We can't wait to come back here again to enjoy this beautiful home again!

A home away from home
The house is a beautiful villa with a bright and welcoming atmosphere. It has a large open concept living room, a big kitchen, a dining area and plenty of sleeping space upstairs. There is a nice garden around the house and a great pool in the back. The patio is perfect for relaxing and sunbathing as well as barbecuing and social gatherings. The canal at the back of the house can be explored by kayak and a short walk leads to a nice beach with beautiful sand and cristal clear water. There is a grocery store just a minute away by car. Downtown Nassau is just a 10 minutes drive away. At the main road there are also buses frequently running back and forth. With its welcoming atmosphere, the friendly area, the pool in the back and the beach around the corner, this place is perfect to take a break from everyday life. I will come back soon, this place truly feels like a home away from home! Thank you very much for letting me stay, it was just about perfect.

Luxury in Paradise
We walked into the house and instantly fell in love with it, it was huge with a great pool and patio area, on the water, the kids were tired every night and in bed early. There is a great small beach with gorgeous see through water and super white sand just a 5 minute walk. The house was very comfortable, spacious, huge fully equipped kitchen, very bright, clean and open. There was shopping very near by, 2 minutes from house by car, tons of bus service on the main road, you can be downtown in 10 minutes and with $1.50 I have always liked Nassau very much, but staying at this house has turned my like in to intense love.
Thank you sooooo much for letting me and my family stay at your wonderful house, I will definitely come back soon.
