About this house rental

The Lodges at Torreon are located in the White Mountains of Arizona, a four season wonderland. The ideal place for exploring the Mogollon Rim with its beautiful mountains, lakes, and average temperature 25 to 35 degrees cooler than the desert regions to the south. Whether hiking, golfing, fishing, skiing or just relaxing, Torreon is the perfect retreat.

During your stay, the private golf membership at Torreon can be transferred for $350 first person and $125/person for up to 3 additional persons. $25 fee charged by Torreon upon arrival for Fob or App used to enter facilities. This allows use of the two 18-hole golf courses, pool, family recreation, equestrian and fitness centers. Greens fees are included, but cart fees are not included. Golf cart fees are $45. Golfing between 7:30am-10:30 am is reserved for Members only, not Designated Members. Tee times may be reserved one week prior to your stay. Designated Members are not allowed to bring nonmember guests to amenities not open to the public. Reservations for dining on the outdoor patio at the Torreon Grille are available for Members only and are not a privilege granted to Designated Members. During off peak hours when the Grille is not busy, walk in guests may be seated on the outdoor patio. The Cabin restaurant is also exclusive for Members only, not Designated Members.

The Lodges are conveniently located within walking distance of the clubhouse with practice putting green, restaurant, bar, pool, jacuzzi and fitness center. You will also be in walking distance to the driving range, catch and release fishing pond, basketball, pickle ball and tennis courts, 2-hole par 3 kids course, family center (arcade games, xbox, movie room, pool table, ping pong) and playground. Community pool open from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day. Torreon is located 45 minutes from Sunrise Ski Resort.

Lodge has an extended patio with 8 person dining area and gas grill. The master bath has a jacuzzi whirlpool tub and bedroom is furnished with a king size bed. Second bedroom also has a king size bed. The lock-off apartment with separate front entrance has fireplace, sink, small refrigerator and 2 sets of twin size bunkbeds. There are 3 full bathrooms in all.

We spent nearly 5 weeks, getting out of the Tucson heat. The location and weather were great. Usually in the mid 80's. There are occasional thunder storms in the afternoon, however did not interfere with our golf. The view off of the deck is exactly as shown in the photo, looking out onto the 10th fairway of the Tower course. Cocktail hour in the late afternoons were special. The home is clean, very convenient, close to the clubhouse, beautiful fitness center and restaurant. There is a very good restaurant alternative (Buffalo Bills) just outside the Torreon gates, allowing some variety without having to drive downtown. The owners were easy to communicate with. No negatives on the house... Since this home allows 'Unit transfer membership", there are no greens fees after paying a set temporary membership fee up front, depending on the number of golf memberships needed. (2 for a couple, with a maximum of 4). So the longer your stay, the more cost effective. Golfers should be aware however of $45 PER PERSON charge for a cart each day one plays. All in all, we had a fantastic 4-5 weeks with 18 rounds of golf for my wife and I. The courses are very challenging, so don't go with expectation that your handicap will improve. :-).

It is just excellent!! Has a great location near the common facilities of Torreon. My wife and I love golf and the courses at Torreon are excellent & challenging. The house sits looking up the 10th fairway - great for enjoying one's morning coffee. The house is well equipped with everything any guest would want or need. The "host" is a delight to work with as she is prompt and answers any questions very clearly and thoroughly.

The property met, exceeded all of our expectations. We were very familiar with it since we stayed in the property for about 16 days in 2021. We also were familiar with the community because our son and his family has a place in Torreon. Our goals for the month was to play golf every other day on two beautiful courses and then relaxed in a beautiful well-maintained house and experience the outdoors in Show Low and the White Mountains. We achieved our goals in every respect.

The entire experience working with Vrbo and the host was extraordinarily efficient and effective. The host did an outstanding job in making the arrangements so we would have golfing privileges, a key criterion. The host was very prompt is following up on questions and making sure every aspect of the stay and privileges were done correctly with absolutely no shortfalls, disappointment or frustrations.

Tarianne is the best! So helpful and the place is great (we’ve rented before). However, we were advised of changes so no surprise. We are golfers and this is one of the main reasons we rented this property. Tarianne was very upfront and helpful. But we were turned away from the restaurant one night (a family of 7!): the Suns game was on and we were told “no renters allowed”. We paid A LOT OF MONEY to be members for two weeks. I guess people have abused privileges in the past. However, basic hospitality was missing in that moment. You can feel a difference there as a “renter”. However, we thought we bought a 2 week membership (we were even given member cards). We still love Torreón and want to return someday. But alas, it’s a different experience.

We spent 2 nights in Torreon with our 2 yr old and 8mo old and my two parents. Tarianne was a great host and set us up with eveything we needed to known about the property. Overall the lodge was clean and comfortable with a nice cabin feel. It was nicely decorated but out of reach from the kids so we didnt have to baby proof anything when we got there. The living room and couch were cozy and roomy enough for all 6 of us to relax by the fireplace, which is what we did for most of stay. The 3 rooms were split away from each other so we didnt have to worry about our baby waking up anyone when he got hungry in the middle night. To cap off our stay we got a few inches of snow the last morning and the kids played in the snow in the front yard. This was the most fun and relaxing trip we've had since having 2 kids.

We had a great stay at this property. The house was very well laid out so everyone has their own space. We utilized the family center where the kids played on the playground and the adults played pickleball. Dinner at the clubhouse was also great and convenient as it is located across the street from the property. We will definitely be returning.

This is a wonderful property. The owners were in contact with us all the way through the vacation with anything we needed or had concerns with. The location was close to all the amenities. The home was spacious and had a very large patio to sit out on and enjoy the pine trees. Right on the golf course which was very fun for us. I highly recommend this location.

The property was very clean and well-stocked. Our family of four had a wonderful time, especially relaxing on the oversized back patio overlooking the golf course for morning coffee, afternoon reading, and outdoor dining. The proximity to the clubhouse, playground, driving range, fishing pond, etc. cannot be beat. The transferable golf membership was extremely easy to use and the two courses are fantastic. We hope to come back later in the year!

We spend a week in Torreón every summer to escape the heat in Tucson. We have rented properties through the resort, which no longer offers this option. We found this VRBO to be great for its location near the golf course. Back patio is oversized and overlooks #10 on the Tower Course. Second bedroom has a king bed and easily accessible private bath. Master BR is roomy. We didn’t need the bunk beds - but it has a good setup for kids. Property owner is great - we had a little problem on checkin which was out of her control, and she handled it well. I’ve always heard right back when trying to contact her for anything. We plan to stay here again next year. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay and loved this property! Very cozy and comfortable with nice views of the 10th fairway. The kitchen was well equipped with all we needed to have our family (4) Thanksgiving there. Got lucky with the timing on the weather and was able to golf the Wed before Thanksgiving and ski the Saturday after :). Tarianne was very accommodating and hospitable.
