After travelling for 5 weeks, we came through the gate and were hit with a relaxed vibe. Chickens, goats and dogs greeted us from their area.
The house is a beautiful farm house with so many amenities we could have moved in with just our clothes and stayed forever.
Will definitely return.

We stayed at the farm for eight days over Christmas, and it was great. From holiday decorations, tree and stockings to fresh eggs, Mary and Hep did everything they could to make the stay great. The farm was super fun. Roosters crowing in AM, and Bella and Blue (farm dogs) greeting you coming and going from property. We really wanted to take Bella home. Great location, close to town, but far enough away for quiet. Amazing fully equipped kitchen with all you need for big dinners with family and large dining room table for long dinners. Great proximity to paths for walking and running too. I could go on, but wont, just visit!

stayed here for 5 nights this past thanksgiving so that we could use the chef's kitchen to serve dinner for 14. My whole family loves this house and location for our dinner! There's plenty of space to seat 14 and Mary has ALL of the things you'd need for a gorgeous meal, including flatware, wine glasses, complete sets of dishes, serving platters, casserole dishes, etc. PLUS, the presence of the chickens, the goal and sheep in the yard playing in the snow, the bull next door dozing under the tree, the guard dogs Bella and Blue...it all makes for an amazing experience. There's a bike path a few feet from the driveway that goes all the way up to Jay road if you want a nice daytime stroll. Just a great location, managed by great people. Can't wait to return again next year, this is becoming a valued location for our family's memories, thank you again!!

We loved our stay at the farm! Mary has done a great job of creating a warm, welcoming space for visitors. The house is only 15 minutes from downtown, so you get both the solitude of the country setting and the hustle and bustle of the city when you want it. We will definitely recommend this property to others visiting the area.

We really enjoyed our stay. Meeting the animals was fun and relaxing and the owners were really nice. Plenty of room to spread out and relax. A nice spot out in the country but only a short drive to CU Boulder, shops, etc.

I wish I could give this place 6 stars!! All aspects of this trip were perfect, seriously!! We rented this farmhouse in Boulder because it had a giant kitchen and we wanted to host Thanksgiving for my family, 14 total people (3...that's three ovens!! ). At one point on thanksgiving everyone was in the kitchen- but there was still room somehow!
Favorite things: owners were responsive, helpful, very attentive. They allowed my brother to bring his 4 mo old puppy for the day. Also the kitchen was a chef's kitchen, fully stocked with serving dishes, place settings for 14, plenty of space to cook. Also there were a ton of animal interactions we were able to have, from meeting the actual Naughty Goats that the farm is named after, to meeting local cats, chickens, ducks, seeing the sheep and alpaca and neighboring woolly cows from afar, etc. That was unique and very special.
It's located right near the termination of the boulder bike path, so we went for a nice long walk on a paved path after Thanksgiving. Sunrises were memorable, many pictures were taken.
interior-wise, it's decorated in a french farmhouse style, with many antique-looking items and lots of wood and cosy corners to curl up and read a book. There's a working fireplace that was ALL SET UP for us! There was plenty of room with 4 bedrooms in case someone needed to sleepover, all bedrooms were furnished nicely, had new mattresses and snuggly blankets.
8 stars - seriously- we are ready to move in, but if we can't we are definitely planning on being back next year if we can get in. They also had a sweet porch, this place would be awesome in the summertime! Did I mention we got a dozen FRESH eggs from the sweet hens ? Such a great trip, such good memories, what a lovely place. Thank you!!

We loved staying here! The property is just as described on the website -- a true farmhouse but with lots of updates to make it very comfortable for everyone. And the location is perfect -- in a rural area but only a few minutes from grocery stores, breweries, and downtown Boulder. I'd definitely stay here again.

Quaint farm minutes from downtown Boulder… if you need silence not your place but great for coworkers, friends or family who want a place near town and opt to save a buck in place of four hotel rooms.

This property is so beautiful, WOW! The home is situated on Mary & Heps farm, there are chickens roaming (some new babies had hatched a couple days before i arrived), goats and some gorgeous pups! They have many wild flowers growing as well, and even offered to cut me a bouquet for my friends I was in town visiting. I very much enjoyed having my morning coffee on the porch steps taking in the gorgeous views. The house is so charming and has everything you need for a great stay. I slept the best I’ve slept in a long time that first night, its so peaceful. The property is gated and secure, and a short drive from downtown Boulder. There are some awesome Hikes nearby, and a nice walking path right next to the property, which took me on a beautiful 4mi loop the first morning I was there. I highly recommend this property. Its quiet, clean and good vibes all around!

We loved our stay at the farmhouse. The interior has beautiful original features of the home, as well as modern comforts. The beds were comfortable with cozy linens. The dogs and chickens were so fun for our family to say hello to every morning. It was a pleasure to stay here.

We had a great time at the farm house. Authentically rustic on the outside, it is beautifully decorated and furnished on the inside. We were a group of five friends and enjoyed the living spaces.

What a special place! The kids loved the chickens roaming around, we had a lovely barbecue outside, and the scenic beauty was a great escape from downtown. The veranda was a welcome escape from some rain and we had a great time all weekend.

Our group of 5 adults and one infant found the farmhouse a perfect place to stay. The layout worked well to give everyone enough privacy while offering comfortable communal spaces. We were thrilled with how well-stocked the kitchen is for cooking shared meals, with lots of basic ingredients available. The location just a short drive from downtown was great while offering a pleasant change of scene in this more rural section of town. We would happily return in the future.

Oh my goodness! I cannot say enough positive things about our experience at this home. The property itself is gorgeous and filled with flowers and animals and surrounded by nature. The home is the perfect size. In fact, I found it to be roomier than I expected from the photographs. It was big enough that my child had room to play and spread toys all around BUT cozy enough that it kept the family together.
The home was clean and well cared for. Anything that needed attending to Mary was on top of right away! And she even went out of her way to make us feel at home with special treats!
Highly recommended!

Everything and more
Mary and Hep were an absolute pleasure and breath of fresh air. They were incredibly helpful, communicative, and friendly. We enjoyed fresh eggs and freshly picked radishes from them - how sweet is that? The house was very clean and beautiful, beds extremely comfortable, the most well-stocked kitchen I've ever seen at a rental property, and the location was amazing to get to hikes and restaurants in town. Thank you for everything, I can't recommend this place enough.

Stellar spot in rural setting
This spot is ideal for a group wanting a cozy spot in a quiet countryside setting, but it's only a short drive or bike ride to town. It was clear these are experienced hosts.
+ The kitchen setup was dialed, so if you plan to cook expect everything you could possibly need. And the dining room table was great for 8+ to eat.
+Lot's of cozy spots to relax including a massive enclosed porch with comfortable seating. Bedding was done right for a good night sleep!
+There is a bike designated path just down from the house heading north towards the gravel roads beyond the boulder Reservoir or you can head into town fully on bike paths starting from Valmont.
+The farm animals are real cute!

The little things that make a great stay
Sometimes the little things add up to make a really memorable stay.
Comfortable beds and linens, a gracious host, a peaceful location, a huge kitchen and some really cute animals all contributed to a special mini retreat. Mary was so kind and so sweet to our grand babies. They loved visiting the goats and chickens. We hope to return!

A quaint experience in an old farmhouse just minutes from downtown Boulder
The house was great. Mary and Hep were available at all times, and brought fresh flowers, fresh eggs and fresh baked bread for us. Goats, chickens, llama….. A brief respite from the city that made one feel like they lived on a farm!

Fabulous farm
This farm is exploding with charm. The 1890 farmhouse is updated with all modern conveniences, while retaining its original character. Our hostess, Mary, was welcoming with fresh eggs and availability for all questions. I visit Boulder every year and know the area well. You will be perfectly situated and comfortable at this wonderful home!

Memorable Christmas at Farm House
Our family’s Christmas stay at the Farm House was the best VRBO experience ever.
Mary and Hep went above and beyond to make us feel welcome at their charming home. Our littles were so excited to interact with dogs, goats, chickens and our favorite, the llama.
The house is amazing and well stocked for any need.
We can’t wait for another visit!

Wonderful Farmhouse and Farm
My extended family was able to come together over a long weekend from all over the country to stay in this large home, central to Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins. Mary and Hep were responsive to any requests. We plan to return for another visit. Mary hosted a tour through the working farm for my young granddaughter to see the chickens, goats, and llama. We got a wonderful gift of farm fresh eggs. The kitchen had every possible amenity to make our stay convenient.

Beautiful farm house.
We were delighted with the farm house! It is stunning and fully appointed! There were a few things that we didn’t like -
The location is a short drive into town. We were excited to hear from the owner (Mary - owner) about the animals on the property and had hoped to interact with them as we were staying on the property for a week. However, the property manager wasn’t having that on any level. So we settled for feeding them all through the fence. The ‘unfriendly’ animals were hardly that! Anyway, the guard dogs barked a lot at night. There are coyote everywhere apparently. Something we didn’t know and a kind neighbor informed us on a early morning run.... If you love animals like we do there are some wonderful animal rescues in the area. We went to them and volunteered or took a tour!
The front door doesn’t lock at all - also a negative as we felt uncomfortable leaving our valuables in a strange house not locked! It was also strange sleeping in a place that wasn’t your own with a door that doesn’t lock with children!
The hardest thing about this rental was really the property manager! She was very unfriendly! We’ve stayed at many rentals with onsite property management. They are usually welcoming and lovely! We had to introduce ourselves to her. She never checked to see if we needed anything or even offer any dining or sights to see suggestions! It was uncomfortable at best - You can also hear her from time to time as her quarters are directly below you.
However, the owner MARY is quite wonderful! Easy to communicate with and responds quickly! I forgot to make my second payment on time as I assumed it was automatically done on my on file credit card AND I messed up on the day of departure. Mary was kind and helpful! If Mary was the on-site property manager it would be perfect!!!

Return Visit to the Farmhouse
Mary is a fabulous hostess: friendly, helpful, generous, but never intrusive. She brought us fresh eggs, left a tasty pastry, and pointed out the gorgeous double rainbow that occurred during our stay.
The home is a beautiful, comfortable retreat. We enjoyed cooking in the well stocked fabulous kitchen, lounging on the screened in porch....
The beds are cozy comfortable. We just live the Farmhouse!

Wonderful, relaxing stay on the farm!
My husband and I rented this property to share with our young adult children. 6 of us stayed in the house and really enjoyed our time in Mary and Hef’s spacious home. Mary was available if needed but also respected our privacy. The llama, goat, chickens and dogs added fun to the pretty setting. We cooked out on the grill two nights and both the kitchen and dining room easily accommodated all of us.
