The house was beautiful and spacious, perfect for families and friends. Teens enjoyed the game tables, while adults relaxed on the big couch. Beds were comfortable, and the location was great!

The property is nice and was very clean inside. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again.

This was a great space for our family to stay simply for the game room and the multiple living rooms. The sleeping arrangements got tricky due to the arrangement of the beds. Overall it was great! We would definitely stay here again!

Renter beware. This property is rundown, dirty and in need of repairs. We did have safety issues. The walkway to the front door has rotting wood, loose boards and a big yellow jacket nest. Two of the children were stung and a few of us fell on the rotten parts of the walkway. There was a missing smoke alarm in the kitchen. The water pressure was nonexistent in the main floor of the house. The exhaust for the downstairs bath is a hole in the ceiling. I kid you not! It’s obvious the “fully stocked” kitchenwares were purchased at a thrift store. Nothing matched. The one oversized cooking pot’s bottom was so burned the lining was literally peeling off. I had to go buy a pan to make our meals. On the 5th day of our stay the toilet broke. I contacted the property manager who said they “would try to get out there to fix it”. He never fixed it. This is all in addition to dirty floors, cobwebs and caked dust on air returns. I communicated all of these items to the owner on the 4th day of our stay. She indicated she hasn’t personally visited the property in a long time and depends on her cleaning people and property manager. Big mistake, in my opinion. We planned this vacation for a year and traveled far to get here. We are so disappointed.

The cousins loved being on the lowered level with a big TV, air hockey, foosball, games, etc. The adults stayed on the upper level with huge couch, comfy pillows, big dinning area. Beds were super comfy and we didn't have to worry about towels or linens.

The home was beautiful and spacious for our group of 8 family members.
The teenagers enjoyed the ping pong table in the basement while the adults enjoyed coffee on the back porch with the squirrels.
The refrigerator didn’t work 100%, and from the kitchen flooring looks like it has been leaking before.

It was a super stay—thank you! Property was exactly as advertised. We had no problems with anything, good correspondence with owner and manager. Great location with tons of rooms and open space. We put the teens downstairs—perfection! Thanks again

The pluming was an issue. Had to move the plunger back and forth between bathroom.s. Water pressure was awful. Water was super hot or freezing when taking a shower. Tried to get ahold of the property manger for 3 days about fire wood. The last day he responded and said he’d send someone over but we never did get the wood. I picked wood from outside and got the fire going only to discover that something is wrong with the flu because the down stairs was filled with smoke. The insides of the Pot and pans were coming apart so you could not cook in most of them. The freezer was leaking into the refrigerator ruining food. I reached out to the host before we arrived a d still have not heard from her.

The property was dated but adequate for the 12 of us plus a dog. The ping-pong table and game room provided hours of great fun for children and adults. The location was very convenient to hiking trails and snow tubing and slopes. The property manager was easy to access and attentive. The cleaning crew however left huge amounts of garbage outside as well as wet clothes in the washing machine. The property manager had to send someone the next morning to pick it up, but we had to bring it inside overnight because of attracting animals. There were leaves all on the deck and in the laundry room. The cushions for chairs on the deck were mildewed. There were a few lights and outlets that didn’t work. Even with these few inconveniences, overall it was a great way for our family to begin a new year!!

Our check in process was a bit sketchy, but the property owner worked it out swiftly. The house's yard was not tended to nor were the porches. Again, the property manager sorted ot out quickly.
The location is great. With a good paint job and replacement of some trimming throughout the house, it'd be a gem.
We made the most of our stay and the property owner was as responsive as we could ask.
Thank you!

The air conditioner was set to 66 F in the wintertime when we check in, after talk to the rental manager, they set it to 69 F, not warm enough. We found mice in the kitchen counter ☹️

Christmas family get away
This house was absolutely perfect for our family get away. Although the weather was unseasonably warm with slopes closed we still had plenty of fun. First morning there a deer strolled right through the back yard and stayed about 5 feet away from me for a good while, it was amazing! To give you an idea of how spacious the home is our vacation included myself and my husband, our 2 teen boys that still live with us ages 15 & 16, our daughter(pregnant) 27 w/ her husband and 4 yr old son, and our oldest son 20 with his girlfriend. Our teen boys shared the dbl bunk room and everyone else had their own room. The downstairs area was a perfect retreat for our teens they were able to close the door by the stairs and blast their music without bothering us if needed. We took the upstairs master bedroom since it had a full bath the other full bath is downstairs and was fine for everyone else to share. There is also a half bath upstairs in between the rooms. The house was stocked with essentials more than we expected. We are used to staying at my mom's timeshare and there is usually only enough essentials for 1 or 2 days and we are used to shopping the 1st day for everything needed for a week so we were pleasantly surprised that we literally only needed to buy groceries. The house had a fully stocked kitchen including stock pot and crock pot! Tons of linens and towels so we never ran out. Plenty of trash bags and family games even though we brought our own. Trash could be taken further up the mountain to any dumpster in the resort lodging areas. The driveway is steep as many mentioned but once you got used to it you were fine (husband drove the entire time so I never actually tried to conquer the mountain driveway). We fit 2 SUVs on the driveway ours is AWD but daughter's is 2WD. We parked sideways pulling up to where the walk begins (not bridge walk but drive walk) and they pulled all the back into the driveway butting up to yard. This allowed either of us to leave at any given time w/o having to reverse up the driveway. Our son parked his minivan at top of driveway without any issues and was able to get all 4 wheels off road. For those who left less desirable reviews i assume they are used to 5 star hotels. This is a vacation home not hotel but was perfect for our needs. Michelle was easy to communicate with. Fast to respond to messages. Property owner gave us entry code prior to arrival and checkout was even easier. No complaints! Would rent again 100%

Amazing stay!
We absolutely loved this house. My son(who is 8) was obsessed with the game rooms. It was plenty of space for 6 of us with a bedroom completely empty. We loved that we were able to bring our pup with us. The heat was broken when we got there, but the property manager was quick to get it fixed while we were out and about. The only things I can complain about is the driveway is super steep and we got stuck a few times. Other than that I definitely recommend staying!!

Family Reunion
We stayed at the house Labor Day weekend, everything was as described and the house is on the lower portion of the resort. Michelle was very good at keeping me advised during the rental process even keeping me updated when there was an issue with the washer prior to our arrival. There were plenty of towels, linens, toilet paper etc and the kitchen had the basic needs for cooking. The only suggestions that I would have is that rules for parking and some checkout guidance would be provided. Massanutten security stopped by the house because a neighbor had complained about one of our vehicles not being parked far enough of the road, he told us that all four wheels had to be off the road which is nearly impossible to do and the driveway is steep with limited room. We weren't sure what to do with our trash and towels at checkout so we left the trash inside so the animals wouldn't get into it and put our towels in the tubs. Overall a very good stay for the price and we would definitely rent again.

Family fun
Great place for families with kids. Had enough space for everyone to spread out in. Loved the nice big sectional on the main level with board games to play. Everyone enjoyed the game room and ping pong table! Be prepared for the steep driveway. Very difficult to navigate if you have more than one large vehicle. We had a large passenger van and truck, but there is a small strip in front of the house that we were able to park the van on.

Ok, but less than expected
Property had some great amenities, but needed some work. Based on other reviews we may have just been unlucky. Our experience was that one bed collapsed and was found to be missing bolts. Deck chairs were mildewed and dirty. Trash left in backyard and in various places inside. TV remotes were without batteries, not working, or went to nothing in the house. There were multiple problems with AC and communication problems between owner and property manager, which made problems worse. Owner was apologetic about AC, but also tried to blame us for AC issues, based on misinformation from property manager. Other issues - remotes, bed, deck furniture, weren't even acknowledged.

Great activities at house and surrounding area
Verly clean, comfortable. Friendly neighbors. Suggest bringing extra towels if doing the maximum occupancy. Be prepared for a very steep driveway .

The house looked fair enough to prefer to stay. But all the nightmare started as soon as we saw the property,1-The hardwood in the main living room was wobbling and squeaking.2-The wood area around the stairs was full of dust like no one touched there to clean. There was no enough toilet paper and soap in the bathrooms.3- Beddings were not clean like you can find any hotel they were clearly used( two master bedrooms were okay) the rest were not clean.4- there were traps around for cockroaches and we were not notified about them one my clothes were trapped by one of them and I won’t be able to wear anymore.I think the property requires more detailed cleaning and attention in terms of providing quality and serene stay I am not saying stay away however these have to be addressed ASAP

Great place!
Just as described! Place was clean and had everything we needed. Some of the prior reviews are simply not true! The driveway is alittle steep but everything else was great! Plenty of room! Extremely clean and well kept. Yes could use a little paint touch up here and there but nice rental.

Pros:The location is great.Cons:1) Cleanliness: Spills/stains on the kitchen counter and dining table, used solo cups on and around the ping pong table, dirty dishes, grill and oven and a used towel in the bathroom downstairs. Note that this is during the COVID19 pandemic.2) Damages: Broken microwave frame, broken sofa legs, loose bathroom faucets, damaged foosball and air hockey tables.3)Lack of necessities: There was an empty propane tank for the grill and we had to buy our own dishwashing liquid, toilet paper and hand wash. The property manager did replace the propane tank and provided some more toilet paper the next morning. 4) Here’s the kicker: Even after all of this, the worst part was what happened the day after we left the place. The property owner claimed that we “pooped and peed all over the house” and tried to extort us to replace the couch and probably do some other much-needed renovation for the place. We were absolutely baffled by the claims and luckily had taken some pictures of the issues I just mentioned in the earlier points. They had no evidence to back up any of their claims but charged our card $300 before they even talked to us. We blocked our card and VRBO supported us too. This rental is a scam. If you do end up using it, take a ton of pictures before and after.

Great family gathering
We were lucky that this house was available. The price was right and it comfortably handled our family (6 adults and 4 kids ages 1-3). More updated than the pictures and we enjoyed the foozball and ping pong. The only weird thing was that although there was a 1/2 bath off the hall for the 2 guest bedrooms on that floor, the full bath on that floor was in the 3rd room, the master. The other full bath is in the basement and accessible for all from the downstairs living area. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Great Resort Location
The property is located 5 minutes or less from the Massanutten main building. Perfect for our purposes and going to the waterpark. The house is comfortable and the kids enjoyed the basement game room. The hills in the neighborhood are very unique and the downhill driveway is exhilarating.

Our family was extremely excited to be able to get away for a weekend, however, on arrival we were immediately disappointed. The house itself had a ton of potential but it was marred by a few things. First off, there was mouse poop pretty much everywhere in the kitchen. On the floors, on the counter, not exactly what you want to see. We were hoping it was old but low and behold we had an unwelcomed visitor help itself a bag of closed chips, and even helped itself to a bath in the sink as we watched (kind of cute, but ew.) Secondly, the TV's did not work the entire time we were there and barely got a response from the property manager. The refrigerator was also constantly leaking. Lastly, the communication was terrible. Anytime we would contact the landlord about any of the issues above we'd either barely get an answer or not get one at all.Now the good- the house has plenty of rooms and beds and can house many people. It's a good location to necessities and other amenities in the area.
