The place was very clean. The jacuzzi and dry sauna and incredible bathtub made the trip so relaxing. The deer are everywhere which was lovely.

Beach Nest was perfect for our family of 6 (two adults/4 kids). Great views!

Nice quiet getaway. Great view from inside the house or relaxing in the spa after schooling my mother in law playing pool in the garage. There was even a keyboard in the garage if you are inclined to make music magic. Nice quiet neighborhood. Deer everywhere at dusk. Thanks.

We loved being so close to Dillon Beach and coastal hiking. The game room was fun and accommodations were great. I highly recommend this place.

This was our first time visiting Dillion Beach area and this house was a perfect pick which is nicely situated on top of a hill with amazing views. Neighborhood is quiet and we ended up taking many walks around the block. Hot tub was very relaxing overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We totally forgot about the game room so kinda bummed but will definitely be back. Construction next door is still ongoing but it was not too bothersome

My husband and I had a very nice stay at the Beach Nest. Home is very nice, very clean and has a zen feel about it. Views are wonderful. The hot tub and sauna are very nice. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay.

Everything at Beach Nest was perfect for a few days with family. The home is beautiful and clean, with stunning views. Looks better in real life than the pictures. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a spot in Dillon Beach.

RENTERS BEWARE. THERE IS CONSTRUCTION NEXT DOOR. That being said, the house is lovely. It was very clean upon arrival. The pictures don’t do it justice. The house is amazing. It had everything we needed for a 3 day getaway. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. The hot tub, sauna and game room are a nice touch. The upstairs master is awesome with its large windows, couch area, claw foot tub, and fireplace. The bed is quite comfortable. The only downside was the 7:00 AM construction crew next door.

It was a nice property, the only thing was the hottub did not go over 95 degrees and the washer did not spin out all of the water. Had to squeeze the water out of the clothes before putting into the dryer. Other than that, the house was well stocked and was beautiful.

Nice location and the view is stunning! The home itself is a bit odd without a shower in the master bedroom. This home really needs a makeover.

My husband and I along with our 2 small dogs spent two nights here to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. It was such a relaxing trip. The kitchen was well stocked, the outdoor area was amazing, and the views breathtaking! The house is so cute inside and out and exceeded our expectations. It was hard to leave because we enjoyed the house so much.
The home was pretty dog friendly. The outdoor deck area is almost fully gated except for a small area by the hot tub that was open to the below deck. We used some of the foldable lounge chairs to block that area off so our dogs couldn’t get out. So I suggest doing a walk around the deck before letting your dogs out to make sure it’s blocked off.
We would definitely stay again! Thank you for having us in your home!

We enjoyed our stay for my 50th bday getaway. Overall, the accommodation was just what we wanted and needed. The home was clean, and the view was beautiful and peaceful. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen had everything needed. There looks to be a possible new build going up next door. A lot tarped off. We were thankful there was no construction for our stay. :)
Some suggestions: some of the furniture needs replacing. Leather tape covering wear and tear on the leather coffee table and chair downstairs is not okay at the price per night. One other suggestion is to add some side tables. There should be some side tables inside and outside. There are two cute white chairs outside, but there needs to be a little table, too
—the same inside with the couches.
Overall, though, it is a great place with a great view if you need to get away for a peaceful trip.

House was lovely. No TV other than Apple. Beautiful claw foot tub had a kitchen sink stopper so could not be used. Kitchen hood fan and light didn’t work. Oven was really smoky.

Would stay again. Get away trip - great town for dog lovers and oyster enjoyers. Dillion beach never disappoints and the home is a perfect location and great views from the decking. Relaxing place has all we needed to stay comfortably with plenty of trails to walk dogs from the house.

For over 20 years, we have been renting vacation homes in the area and feel we can give others a fair opinion about this property.
PROS:
Location and View
Great Hot Room & Spa
Nice Game Room
Comfortable bed in loft & pillows.
Basic spices provided.
Welcome basket of snacks - nice touch!
The BBQ is great - gas is already connected.
Toothbrushes & toothpaste provided - very nice!
CONS:
Pricey host and service fees - these were the most fees we've ever been charged.
All of the rules - 5 minute showers (it takes a few minutes for the water to get warm), using the hot tub (follow the rules to avoid being fined... we support conserving water, but limiting shower time & washing dishes was challenging).
No extra towels provided for the shower. (They provide the exact number of towels for the people on the contract.)
No alarm/wall clocks - please consider adding a clock for convenience.
There is a very old sofa in the loft - we did not feel safe sitting on it. It was worn out & dilapidated. Consider reupholstering this antique.
The queen bed is in the Loft with a bathtub which is not very private.
Only one wall light worked in the loft
One shower is inconvenient for 4-6 people.
Kitchen towels did not smell clean - we did not use them.
The Frying pans were dirty, so I washed the ones I knew I would use.
Coffee mugs had chips on them.
No ground coffee provided like other homes provide.
Guests are asked to Sweep and mop, so why are we charged so many fees?

The property is all it reports to be and more! It is such a charming house, with a very unique and fun floor plan. We are already looking at calendars for when we can come back and bring our kids! It is really an exceptional location, and the house has all the amenities we could ask for and more!

We have rented several beach homes, but this was our favorite! It has a beautiful sweeping view of the coastline both from inside the home and the hot tub! It was so peaceful to watch the deer and rabbits, come to feed in the morning. There was a trail at the end of the street though the cow pasture that had a beautiful view. It’s just a 30 minute drive to bodega Bay for more activities. We are definitely going to stay here again!

Reviewer Comments:
The property has a gorgeous view, unique architecture, and many wonderful amenities. The view from the spotless hot tub cannot be beat. The clear fence around the perfect deck makes the view unbelievable and provides wind protection. We had many laughs around the foosball and pool tables. Walks from the property are wonderful. The place would be perfect if some of the easy maintenance issues I mentioned to the management were addressed (many dead lights upstairs to the point that it was dark at night, not enough lighting to read or play games at night downstairs, dishwasher door broken, broken blind and gate, smelly bathroom sink). Management was very interested and kind when I mentioned these issues at the end of our stay and when I admitted that my nervous dog had an accident when he entered the house. I felt good that they would probably address the maintenance issues. If they did, the place would be perfect.

We were sold on the view shown on the property pictures, then we spent 4 days freezing in such thick fog that you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. It's a microclimate so the weather forecast wasn't even close to accurate, plan on 10 degrees colder from whatever the forecast says. The internet went out for a whole day, then the power went out the next day. No real response from the rental office after notifying them of the outages. Breakers trip easily, especially when using the sauna, lots of burned out light bulbs throughout the house (including right above the pool table) and broken light switches. Old, worn down, mismatched furniture. Only 1 shower in property with 2 shower heads, if you use the main shower head the bathroom floods. Tried to make the best of it, but in the end just couldn't wait to get home.

We enjoyed our stay here. Nice location in Dillon Beach, with great view of Pt Reyes and the ocean. Kitchen very well stocked with equipment. However, we almost couldn't sleep on the beds. The mattresses were as if they were non-existent. Zero support -- I don't mean soft, I mean zero support. Almost had to sleep on the floor. Hopefully they will replace the mattresses.

The house is excellent. It is a great setup and easy to get to from the Bay Area. The views (when clear) are phenomenal. There is plenty of wildlife right off the back deck (deer, rabbits, quail, hawks, and vultures to name a few...).

We enjoyed every minute spent at this stunning property in Dillon Beach. The views were incredible and we enjoyed watching the wildlife. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax after beach walking and hiking. We had meals outside on the patio overlooking the ocean. We hope to come back someday and appreciated being able to bring our dog Arya. Thank you!

In the short three days we were there, we were able to relax, unwind and rejuvenate without actually doing much except enjoying this beautiful home and it’s amenities, beginning with the much welcomed snacks and a large bottle of Perrier, which greeted us on arrival, also much appreciated toiletries in the bathrooms. (I mean, c’mon, who doesn’t forget their toothbrush?) There are awesome views from every room and the house has a nice flow to it. Granted, we being only two, as well as a couple, had no problem with the lack of privacy due to the loft arrangement, as mentioned in a previous review. Tho, I can easily understand why that would be a problem. Tho, it wasn’t for a our couple.
We enjoyed spreading out a bit and though we both spent the night in the master bedroom, we each took over one bedroom and bathroom, so we each had a place to hang our clothes and dress. One pet peeve- a lack of hangers and any provided hangers are cheap. However, this can be easily remedied. I have found this situation to be common in every home I’ve rented.
.
Wonderful living and dining room.
Grill worked nicely
Well stocked kitchen
Hot tub was sparkling clean.
Entry and sauna are spa-like
Beach was a lovely respite. Fun to watch the surfers.
Great response and assistance from Dani in the Vacation office
NOTE:
Nearest gas station from Tomales is 17 miles, so be sure to fill up before you go
All in all, Birds next was a very positive experience!

The photos and description on the website of the Beach Nest rental in Dillon Beach, Bodega Bay seemed perfect for my birthday celebration weekend with my family. The exterior aspects were all that were promised, with a panoramic view of the hills and ocean from around the deck and in the jacuzzi.
However, we were to be disappointed with the interior of the house. The website advertised it as a 2-bedroom unit with a master suite upstairs. However, the “master suite” has no door, which means anyone at the top of the stairs has an unobstructed view of the bathtub and the bed; plus, all the noise from the living room and kitchen immediately below it, can be heard, making sleep difficult.
To be more accurate, the website should have mentioned the absence of a door, or should have described it as a master bedroom loft. The clawfoot bathtub, while charming, was not at all practical with nothing to perch bath items on, except for a rack that hung on the sides of the tub. If you needed to place your head under the faucet to wash and rinse off your hair, you had to move that rack to the back of the tub, but since the sides in the back of the tub are angled upwards, it does not stay in place there.
We could have survived the inconvenience for our family of 5, except that the shower in the downstairs bathroom did not work and only produced minimal amounts of cold water, certainly not enough to take a shower. That bathroom door also had a faulty door lock that did not engage at all and kept opening up slightly on its own. Thankfully, both the shower and the door lock were repaired the next day.
The unit is described as sleeping 6 but there is only a dining table large enough for 4 people and no additional chairs available even if we could squeeze more people onto it. The non-standard light switches were a great mystery (never seen anything like them before) and I would recommend that the Manual include a description as to how to turn them on and off and which light switches are for which lights.

Exactly What We Needed
This property is quite lovely and has some of the best views of Dillon Beach. I felt instantly relaxed walking into the space (that entryway!!<3) The kitchen was well stocked for cooking with spices and oil and there were welcome snacks left out for us! We read reviews before booking and made plans to cook all of our meals since delivery out there is rough and the closest grocery story is small. I brought in groceries from Petaluma and the drive from there to the home was quite lovely. The photos are exactly how things are but that view is so much better in person. We saw several deer in the early morning walks to the beach. I would also recommend driving if you won't want the steep incline hike up hill on the way back. They have $10 parking on the beach a very short drive. Loved that they had the clear wind breakers so we could enjoy the hot tub without half our body being cold from wind. Overall a truly enjoyable stay with all the amenities needed to relax and unwind. Highly recommend.

Great Weekend Getaway
Beautiful property! My family and I stayed here for my bday weekend and we enjoyed every bit of it. We cooked a lot, enjoyed the views. Relaxed in the sauna and jacuzzi. VIEWS!!!! The downstairs bathroom door knob can be replaced, there was no wine opener, and it took a while to get the shower to heat up. Overall, great stay!

Stunning Views & So Comfortable
We've rented many coastal homes in recent years, but the spectacular views from both floors (and all rooms - even the bathrooms!) were - by far - the BEST we've ever seen. Fireplaces both upstairs and down; super comfy bedding; and a great shower and well-stocked kitchen made for a cozy and pleasant stay. Deer and bird life surrounded the home and filled the small valley that runs down to the ocean from the decks. Truly, a little bit of paradise! We can't wait to return.
