A Peaceful Retreat in Provence
Over the years we have rented about 10 houses in Provence with friends and this house was one of our favorites. We were a group of 8 who used 5 of the 6 bedrooms. The bedrooms were large and offered a bit of privacy in a shared house making it ideal for groups. The common spaces were nice and the kitchen offered everything we needed to cook dinner each night. The outdoor space had two separate spaces for dining and the pool offered a nice place to spend the warm afternoons. The small town was close enough to walk to each morning for fresh croissants. Overall a delightful stay.

What a wonderful villa to relax and enjoy with family or friends. The area surrounding Mazan has many points of interest and activities, but hanging out at the property poolside or playing ping pong, boules or card games is equally desirable. We went exploring during the day with lunch out, and spent the afternoons poolside and took advantage of the outdoor kitchen and dining style ala Peter Mayle’s A Year in Provence ....
Would love to return in the future.

Beautiful location, great house for 2 families
We had a fantastic time! Thank you so much for lending your beautiful property to us for the week. We ventured to the antiques market in Isle sur Sorgue, walked into Mazan everyday for bread and pastries, went canoeing, wine-tasting of course, and 2 of our number went up Mont Ventoux. Those little excursions were totally secondary to how we spent most of our time: lounging by the pool and making and eating delicious meals outside in excellent Provence weather. The house was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 5 teenagers. Again, many thanks!

Simply amazing
Wonderful villa in a stunning location
The dining areas and pool were used extensively by our party of 9 Adults and 3 kids to enjoy the French cuisine (and wine) and cool off in the Provence heat.
We did not stray to far from the villa as we were well entertained with the facilities (swimming, table tennis and boules)
We did manage a trip to wineries and the villa is perfectly located to sample some wine very close by and short drive to some of the more famous vineyards
Overall a great holiday was had by all
Only problem was leaving

Beautiful
We stayed with a group of 7 adults and three kids for two weeks in Clos Saint Paul in July/August 2015. Great house, great location; great environment! Ideal for exploring Provence by car, biking, or just enjoying the freshness of the pool and the beautiful property. The owner and the local contact person are really responsive. The two minor problems we had in the house were taken in charge rapidly and solved quickly so as not to trouble our stay! Would definitely go back!

Provencal Perfection!
BEAUTIFUL HOME!!! We stayed for 8 nights and by the end of the trip were joking about quitting our jobs and staying forever. This home is exceptionally located in the heart of wine and cycling country. A quick drive to Bedoin and Carpentras, and walking distance from Mazan, the home is located on a private, quiet street. The pool was spectacular, and definitely needed on the hot days! All of the rooms included ensuites and ample living space. With plenty of dining area options, we were able to eat outside under the shaded veranda for most of our meals! You'll definitely need a car because our favourite afternoon activity was driving to a nearby town in the Luberon Valley, exploring it, and hitting up all of the nearby markets. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook beautiful meals at home. I will absolutely be back again, hopefully soon!

WOW!!
Look no further - Clos St. Paul is a gem. I have rented many homes over the years through VRBO and this is one of the best! We stayed here in May and was blown away - a charming home just outside the quaint town of Mazan. Cycling through this area is amazing...a stones throw away from Mount Ventoux if you need a challenging ride. Clos St. Paul is surrounded by beautiful vineyards on a quiet street, just outside of town.
The Outdoor space is exceptional - many different entertaining areas, a beautiful pool and outdoor shower, fruit trees and a ping pong table for some fun!
All of the bedrooms are beautifully appointed, with lovingly restored antiques and lots of character. The kitchen is very well equipped should you decide to stay in and cook your meals.
I highly recommend this property to anyone who likes to stay at 5 star properties. The owners were fantastic in providing information on the area and quick to respond. Enjoy your stay - you won't be disappointed!

Perfect Provence
We recently spent the holidays at Clos St. Paul, Mazan in south eastern France. The 265 year old farmhouse deep in Provincial charm was a perfect setting to ring in 2015 for a group of nine people.
The bedrooms were very comfortable all with beautiful linens and complete full en-suites. The country kitchen was very complete with everything needed to create your french cuisine. The atmosphere of the
entire house was relaxed (beautiful fireplace), warm and welcoming.
In Mazan, be sure to visit the charming Monday morning market with many local vendors and dine in quaint restaurants with regional cuisine.
A short distance from Aviginon, Mazan is a close drive to numerous country roads making it accessible to explore the french countryside such as Carpantras, Roussillon, Gordes, and Bedoin.
It is also excellent for cycling, hiking, and long walks.
The grounds of Clos St. Paul are tranquil (even in January) complete with a well equipped outdoor cooking area, pool and even a state of the art ping pong table.
This is truly a fantastic house with everything needed for a perfect Provincial holiday.

Best location in Provence
We stayed at Clos St Paul for 2 weeks, using it as our base for cycling. Great location to start and end the day. Excellent access to the town facilities for shopping, boulangerie, bars, etc. But located outside town far enough away to be in the vineyards and enjoying quiet evenings. Also central enough to explore Carpentras, Aix, Avignon, chauteuneuf de pape, etc. on a day off from cycling. Home is beautiful and comfortable for large groups.

We recently stayed for 9 glorious nights at Clos St Paul with a group of avid bikers. This was the perfect spot to stay, close to Mazan and so many other quaint French villages, all within biking distance. The house is magnificent, everything you need is on hand to make your stay comfortable. We awoke to the sound of roosters and dined outside most nights as the sun set. Provence is beautiful and this home matches the surroundings.

A Beautiful, Comfortable Home in a Great Location
Our large group stayed at Clos St. Paul for a cycling holiday. We were pleased to find the place every bit as nice as the website photos. It is great to find a wonderful 250 year old country home updated with modern amenities. It is especially nice to find such a place in a large private setting while still being within a 10 - 15 minute walk of a great french baker and several restaurants. The grounds are beautiful and surrounded by grape vines and olive trees. We enjoyed boles and the pool after our rides.
The weather was warm enough for us to enjoy dinner at both of the beautiful outdoor dining areas, as well as breakfast in the sun on the kitchen patio. If you stay here make be sure to have the owners assist in arranging for the chef Jourdy and his wife Katrina to come in and prepare a meal, or two, for you. We enjoyed a spectacular feast in a fantastic setting.
The location is excellent, especially for cyclists. Clos St. Paul is in the center of a well known cycling mecca and from the gate there is wonderful riding in every direction.

Perfect Location and ideal cycling base
We spent a week at Clos Saint Paul in October with 5 other couples. We had a wonderful time cycling in the area. The location is perfectly situated for all levels of cycling: it is in a flat valley for easy cycling, it is a short spin to warm up for other challenging rides and a kind ride home at the end of the day. Mazan is a lovely little town with a good Boulangerie within walking distance and several good bars and cafes. The people are friendly. The house was spectacular for large dinners outside under the bamboo sunshade and appetizers around the pool. We played Boules in the garden with glasses of wine! The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms nice with lots of hot water. The kitchen lent itself to multiple cooks and seemed well supplied with everything. We would recommend it to anyone for cycling or simply touring. It's a lovely place to relax and also to come home to after a day of activity.
