Welcome to our authentic log cabin. We are proud to offer a very clean and well equipped cabin for our guests. The cabin was built with logs that had been harvested from this property. The private road brings you through our gate, THERE IS A NEWLY PAVED DRIVEWAY, to the large open areas around the lodge.

There is plenty of parking for up to 10 cars. The kids can explore our property, climb on the large play structure or huge assortment of Large boulders. They can be climbed or jumped between them. We highly recommend, visiting the baby deer sanctuary. It is just a short 10 minute walk from our cabin. The caretakers are always happy to let you interact with the deer or raccoons in their natural setting. Often the deer wander up to our cabin for a visit. Many of the guests have said, their visit to the deer sanctuary, was beyond their expectations. The South Toe River which is about a mile away, as the crow flies, or less than 10 minutes in the car. It is a gentle river, perfect for fishing, tubing, or a peaceful rafting trip for as long as you would like. There are many grassy places to pull ashore if anyone gets tired. The cell service is pretty good through most of that area of the river. That makes it easy to have someone pick you up when you have had a full day. I have been told by the "locals" that the river can be taken all the way into South East Tennessee. after joining with the Nolichuckey River.

Some of our guests have decided to bring their own RV for additional sleeping purposes. We are always flexible and try to make your event, exactly as you have planned. We understand the tremendous amount of planning, that goes into getting everyone's schedule in sync. We coordinate the dates and pricing for 50 to 60 groups EACH YEAR. WE ENJOY SPEAKING WITH YOU AND ANSWERING AS MANY QUESTIONS AS YOU MIGHT HAVE. WE HAVE FOUND THAT ABOUT 80% OF OUR BOOKINGS ARE FOR FAMILY REUNIONS OR CHURCH RETREATS OF SOME TYPE. WE OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR OUR ACTIVE OR RETIRED MILITARY, AS WELL AS ANY CHURCH AFFILIATED GROUP. MANY OF OUR GROUPS RETURN A FEW TIMES EACH YEAR. WE ARE HAPPY TO MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS THAT WILL MAKE YOUR EVENT, EXCEED YOUR EXPECTATIONS. WE ARE ALWAYS HAPPY TO HELP EACH GROUP PERSONALIZE THEIR STAY WITH US. (TALK TO US ABOUT YOUR BUDGET) We do not like to turn anyone away, especially a church group, due to a tight budget. Email us and we are happy to work with you. There is a tremendous amount of vacant land that abuts our parcel. You have to go and stand at the edge of our property, in order to see another cabin from our parcel.

This is our 2nd year staying as a family. Plenty of room for us all. Property is away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to get to what we enjoy doing from UtV rides, mt Mitchell etc.The deer that visit are an amazing plus! The grandkids absolutely love petting them! The house is equipped with I would say just about everything you would need. Internet service isn’t the greatest but we didn’t mind as we were trying to unplug anyways. This is definitely our yearly go to place!

He will not return calls and we We're only at the property for about an hour, and once we found the bed bugs, we called him, he. Admitted that there was a problem and that there had been a problem. We ask for a refund because the property was for an entire wedding party and we needed another place to stay. He said he wpuld mail refund. Never Received as of yet. Just a terrible thing to do to ppl from Ohio who traveled 9 hours to get there.

Our stay at Green Mountain in North Carolina, was amazing! The Lodge was beautifully decorated and have plenty of space for 20 member reunion. We absolutely loved the kitchen table. We’re all 20 of us could sit and eat at the same time. It is beautifully located in the mountain and there were tons of activities in the area to keep us busy for the nine days of our stay. we absolutely love the large dining table. We’re all 20 of us could sit and eat and talk and enjoy games at the same time. The downstairs area was great for the kids to go and play while the adults stayed upstairs enjoying that space. We love the playground and the horseshoe pit in the porch where we could sit out and have our morning coffee or tea. we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival, because the lodge was even better than we had imagined! We highly recommend it… Bill and Kathy were great host!

The Davis Lodge was a great place for our 16-person family. The driveway has been paved and none of our seven cars had any trouble accessing the property. There was adequate parking. The outside of the lodge is very pretty with manicured flowers and trees. There is a nice grassy area with horseshoes, a fire pit, children's play area, and room for cornhole. The view of the surrounding area is lovely. The inside is clean and the kitchen in particular is well-stocked and spacious. Most of the beds were very comfortable and the Americana decor attractive. In one room the bed was rather old and had bugs. The owners were responsive to this issue. The basement had plenty of room in which the kids could run around. The pool table was fine because none of us are pool sharks! We had no issues with leaks or drips or the like. We just followed the rules and had no problem using the jacuzzi or hot tub. Our thirty-something kids really enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. We took a trip down the road to the deer rescue, and as others have mentioned, it was a hit. The little fawns are just charming. Overall, we had a nice vacation.

The property was great! Some of the mattresses are ready for replacing. The sight listed that there was queen beds in 6 rooms. However one room had a full bed. This would not be a problem for most, but our family members are very tall. (Men 6'3" - 6' 7")

This property is perfect for big parties. The 2 issues we had were the driveway and beds. First the driveway, if you dont have AWD do not rent this cabin until it is paved. We had 5 vehicles in our party and 1 couldnt get up the driveway. It was FWD. When it rains it becomes very rough and bumpy. Second each room only has 1 bedframe except for the 2 doubles in one and the bunk beds in the other. All the other rooms call for multiple beds but only have the king and queens on frames. All the twins are mattresses that are slid under the beds or packed in closets. This was not an issue for us as our party was 21. If we would have had more we would have had some problems. All in all this is a great cabin is rent for your next reunion.
