Old, but very charming. Lots of living spaces. Great for 1-2 couples. Location is a short walk to anywhere in Avignon. Gare Avignon Central is only 15 minute walk. Excellent communication for check in etc

We stayed here in late August for 5 days. We made a big mistake trying to drive a car into Avignon. The town is next to impossible to drive in .Parking situation at the house is very difficult. Great location. Near everything you want to see, Food store and restaurants are close. House is almost 200 years old and some rooms are fine, other areas could use a lot of restoration. Apartment was very roomy, bathrooms large and well laid out. A fair amount of broken and damaged furniture laying around. That seemed rather odd.
Major problem was that the apartment was infested with ants. Every room except the bathrooms. We bought lots of spray and by the end of the third day we got them under control. We contacted the host, but he did not come by nor did he send an exterminator. He just said he should buy some spray. He never did. This is not something one should have to deal with on vacation

Perfect location.

Wonderful vast space, atmospheric; central for town and restaurants.
Only slight issue was with use of the garage as someone (never actually encountered) kept parking blocking the door.

When we walked into this property our jaws literally hit the floor. It looked beautiful in the photos but in person it was really next level. The property is so spacious and every detail was taken care of. The property manager is especially amazing - he went out of his way to make sure we had no problems. Highly recommend!

The veranda room was by far the most enjoyable place to be anytime of day. We had plenty of room for the four of us. It was so easy to get anywhere by foot in town. Francis was terrific in answering any question we had and giving us pointers.

What an amazing place to stay. We had an amazing 8 days in a place that felt like home. We really felt we were back in time. Grand space for the six of us. Easy walk to every where in the walled part of Avignon. Francis was such a good host, answering any questions we had. Hope to go back!

Just where we wanted to stay, in the old town in the best
apartment for us. We had so much room, our favorite
place was the conservatory and the garden. The kitchen
well equipped, the baths perfect, showers and bathtubs.
Only a few minutes from a great indoor market with every
thing imaginable. Beds very comfortable, you will feel like
Lords and Ladies.

You will not find a better location in Avignon. Very quiet but very close to all the restaurants and shops.

From the moment we laid eyes on apartment on-line, we fell in love. This was the place we had to be. Francis was amazing and stayed in contact with us throughout the entire booking process. At check in, he was there to greet us and give us great tips on restaurants, activities and the best wineries in the region. The apartment was amazing! It was very large and fit our group of six, perfectly. It couldn't have been in a better location to explore Avignon and Provence. We spent eight days exploring many villages and towns. It was so nice to come back to each night and enjoy a little wine in the garden before heading out to enjoy some of Avignons best restaurants. Truly an amazing stay. Thank you Francis. You are the best and helped make our trip so enjoyable.

Excellent service from checking in to checking out!
The property exceeded our expectations. Francis was amazing at guiding us in to the property. He met us there to show us the workings of the mid 19th century apartment. He also helped to solve a personal issue with a lost phone by communicating in French for us with the person who found it-and on a weekend!
The covered atrium was amazing for 6 of us to gather in. The outdoor courtyard was fantastic. We want to visit again but will learn to play the piano so we can use the one in the master bedroom next time.
If driving, be prepared for many narrow one way roads, but be patient and you will not have any issues with a standard size vehicle. A great location in the walled city!
This has by far been our favorite European property rental over the last five years!

The property was beautiful and location couldn’t have been better.
Access to restaurants, shopping, and the Popes palace.
Francis greeted us upon arrival and was so very welcoming . He was so helpful with every phase of our trip. We will be back again.

We hosted two groups of friends over a 3 week period. We all had plenty of room to relax separately or as a group in this spacious apartment with a wonderful privat garden.

This place had everything we needed: Spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The only issue we had was the fact that other than the front area of the house, the rest of the house did not have air conditioning; this made it hard to sleep , since the weather was hot during the week we stayed in Avignon. Also there were so many mosquitoes in the yard and by the garage, that u couldn't spend five minutes without being stung.

Charming apartment in Avignon
The apartment is as described and seemed very centrally located, within walking distance to major attractions, restaurants, and the covered market (les Halles d'Avignon) for produce, baked goods, and other food. Avignon is a lovely, small, and a walkable city, centrally located for touring Provence. The apartment's kitchen is rather small, so it's good to be aware of that, and we did have some getting-out-of-the-garage issues due to a missing or stolen post. Otherwise, it was a charming and enjoyable stay in Avignon. Francis was kind and wonderful to work with.

Incredibly spacious and well located
It was 95 deg F (35 deg C) every day for the 6 days that we spent here. The apartment stayed remarkably cool if we shut the bedroom and kitchen doors to the terrace during the hot afternoons. We rarely had need of the air conditioning.
The kitchen had lots of pans, utensils, plates, cups and glasses and had lots of natural light from the enclosed terrace. There were also several nice restaurants within easy walking distance. Given how beautiful and grand the apartment is, I was surprised that the bed and bath linens were just adequate. But overall, this was an amazing place to stay.
Having a place to park a car while staying right behind the Palace of Popes was very important to us. Unfortunately the new barrier system to prevent others from blocking our access to the garage wasn't very effective. Francis was incredibly responsive in sorting out the issue, and hopefully a better barrier will be in place soon. (Warning - do not rely on Google maps to get in and out of the old city. Use the instructions that Francis provides.)

Wonderful Stay in the City Center
This spacious property in the city center is absolutely the best; the large sitting room, the spacious bedrooms, and great showers are the start. The property has a large spacious, private outdoor garden, and a large, spacious, private l'orangerie for your use. You wake up in the morning, walk outside into your garden with coffee, and listen to the sounds of the birds and city come to life on the other side of the garden wall. Magical. We started each day and ended each day in the private garden (which can be lit in the evenings). The location puts you within easy walking distance of everything in Avignon. Our host was great. You had a dishwasher and clothes washer available, fridge, coffee maker, and room to spare. We were four people, but six would be easy for this place. Highly recommended. We will be back!

Palatial apartment in City Center
We had a wonderful stay at L'Orangerie. The property is very impressive, with beautiful classic architecture. The indoor/outdoor orangerie and garden are spectacular. The city center location is within easy walking distance of everything in Avignon. The garage, while somewhat tricky to navigate, was very welcome. We did several day trips driving around Provence, and loved having the protected parking. Modern bathrooms, comfortable beds. Francis was an excellent host. He made us feel at home, and helped to ensure that all of our needs were met. We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Wonderful property in heart of Avignon
A remarkable place to stay in Avignon. The home has so much space that we had to make ourselves use all the rooms - just to say we had. The conservatory ended up as our usual spot - so much light and such a pleasant view. The garden was wonderful, and the rooms comfortable. Couldn't ask for more in walking distance to everywhere we wanted to be in Avignon.

Lovely and convenient
We spent an enjoyable week with friends in this ground floor apartment just steps from the Palais des Papes. Francis was a most helpful host. The apartment boasts astounding architectural details but also affords all the mod cons. The beautiful conservatory and garden expand the living area. Close to everything!

Delightful stay in the heart of Avignon-Private parking garage
We were 2 couples on a 3 week trip to France. One week was in Avignon and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It felt a bit like being in Downton Abbey, French style. Kitchen was small by comparison, however had everything we needed and new appliances so we were perfectly happy. Travelers highlight, Miele washer and SEPARATE dryer in full laundry room off the large private garage. For relaxation, the highlight was the beautiful bright Orangerie and the lounge chairs in the walled in garden. I highly recommend this property for location (advise you do not drive a van into town, we did, it worked, fit in the garage, but the narrow streets were a bit hair raising). Francis was friendly, communicative, helpful and responsive. Thank you!

Center of Avignon
This property is a gorgeous and well maintained home that's loaded with 18th century charm. Its location is true perfection in that it's walking distance to restaurants, cafe's and more. The bountiful fresh market (Les Halles) is easy walking and loaded with whatever you wish to make a great dinner at this residence. We cooked one evening and found the kitchen to be well-stocked and complete with newer appliances. There is also a charming, large and fully landscaped garden where we had drinks before dinner. The solarium is filled with light and a lovely place for plotting out trips to the surrounding villages. There's an absolutely breathtaking sitting room with wood paneling, carved mouldings and a marble fireplace that reminds you of an old classic library - perfect for a night cap with our friends. Our group of four had more than enough room and it would easily accommodate 6 people. Francis is a wonderful manager who is responsive and gives a wonderful and thorough orientation to both the property and the area. His dinner recommendations were also spot on. This place is every bit what you see in the photos and then some!

Fantastic
This property exceeded our expectations. A grand period apartment, beautifully maintained and the perfect place in an amazing location in the city to spend the week visiting Avignon and the surrounding area. The garden and conservatory were such beautiful places to spend time and have meals and the size of the property meant we always had the space we needed. Francis was a brilliant host and a very useful source of information for the best restaurants and things to do in the area. Highly recommended and we hope to be back!

This is a beautiful and characterful property in central Avignon and in walking distance of all local sites and the train station. It has every convenience, clean and well-equipped and the landlord was helpful and prompt. I would love to go again.

A great place in Avignon
We stayed 8 nights and were extremely pleased with the accommodation, There were only two of us but the apartment could accommodate several more. The garden room was very nice as was the garden. Also, an easy walk to everything in Avignon.
Francis was very helpful at checkin and left instructions for everything. He even arranged our pick up at the TGV.
I would highly recommend this property

This is a quiet, secure and beautiful property in the heart of Avignon. Its air conditioned and very spacious. The manager Francis is a delight. We had the most wonderful stay and it's the perfect base to explore the old city. Highly recommended.

Incredible apartment!
This is an amazing apartment in so many ways - unbelievable location; sky-high ornate ceilings from a long-lost era; comfortable beds, bathrooms, kitchen and amenities; a garage as close to the very center of Avignon as probably exists; AND a wonderfully helpful property manager! Also, we were there over an extreme heat wave and were very comfortable with the AC in the large patio area cooling everything down wonderfully. Truly exceptional!

Corley Avignon
The house was most charming especially the garden and sun room, which is where we spent most of our time. The location was perfect in it’s proximity to Les Halles where we did a good deal of shopping. We have nothing like that in the states.
Carole and Christine managed to shop for gifts for friends back home.
Overall it was all we hoped for and more.

Superb apartment next door to the Pope’s Palace.
This apartment is a French treasure in the heart of Avignon. It is steps from a small square with a patisserie and several restaurants and then a few more steps to the Pope’s Palace. We walked everywhere in Avignon from this location; the gorgeous market, the sumptuous galleries and world class museums. The apartment is grand. It harkens back to another era when ceilings were very high and woodwork was an art form. Roomy doesn’t begin to describe it. It’s immense. Outdoor space is important to us and it is often difficult to find in a rental. The glassed-in porch and the outdoor table/chairs/loungers were well used. It’s the perfect place to bring the delicacies from the market for a picnic. (Don’t ask how much wine and cheese we consumed). We spent our first week exploring Avignon on foot and our second week with a rental car exploring the rest of Provence. There is even a garage for a car. Francis helped us so much by arranging for a personal wine tasting tour with a private car and helping us with restaurants and villages to explore. He was just a phone call away. Avignon makes a great base for exploring Provence. It is a lovely place to be.

Fantastic apartment, host & location.
We were a group of four who were very warmly welcomed to Avignon by Francis. Francis maintained communication with us from booking to departure and provided us with very helpful information about the local area, things to do and his preferred restaurants. Francis also helped us arrange a personal driver (Ben) for the day to visit Chateauneuf Du Pape which was a fantastic experience.
The apartment was huge, clean and full of charm & period features. It was a pleasure to stay in such a great space. In the heart of Avignon but also in a quiet street. On site parking was a great bonus.
Thanks Francis for a wonderful 5 days & nights.

Could not have picked better Home for our vacation
The home was just as depicted as advertised. We are so happy we chose this home. What a perfect location. So close to Popes Palace, shopping, markets restaurants. Francis was the perfect host. He was prepared, providing us with all kinds of information and recommendations regarding where to eat, shop and things to see. It helped make our vacation in Avignon a 10. We would definitely come back

Fabulous, huge, wonderfully located, grand apartment
This place is truly a gem! We (2 adults and 2 kids ages 7 and 11) just spent 11 nights at L’Orangerie and we could not recommend it more. We ate lunches in the back garden and spent most of our other time at home in l’orangerie - large glass enclosed room - for relaxing and other meals. The master bed is large with its own bathroom. The second bedroom is decent size with one bed for two people and own bathroom. The third bedroom is quite small with 2 single beds and no real space for clothes, so best for kids or one person.
Francis is a terrific host, providing lots of important information upon arrival, including restaurants, day trips, and a map with key information on how to drive into and out of Avignon (no small feat). He was also easily available when we needed him once during our stay with a question.
Kitchen is very well equipped. Washer and dryer hold a decent amount of clothes and work well. There is AC in L’Orangerie, which works for most of the home except the second bedroom, which has a fan. We were here during 90 degree days, and it was fine.
Great location- 5-minute walk to les Halles (6-day/ week market); 5-minute walk to Palais des Papes; easy to get everywhere.

Wonderful in every way!
What to say about L’Orangerie that hasn’t been said? It’s fantastic. It is huge, but we were just two people so basically just used the very large bedroom to sleep and then spent almost all of our time in the L’Orangerie and the garden. We had most breakfasts and two dinners there during our six night trip. One thing that struck us was how cool the whole apartment stayed. We would be boiling out in 95-degree weather and then step into the apartment and ahhhh. So nice. Only part of it has a/c, but the whole apartment (and even the building hallway) are remarkably cool. Also having laundry facilities was a great bonus. There is a garage, too, if we had rented a car. (But honestly we would never try to drive in the narrow streets of Avignon!)
As wonderful as the apartment was, it doesn’t compare to the manager, Francis. He is incredible. He arranged for transportation from the TGV station to the apartment, showed us around the apartment, answered our extensive questions about the area, gave us a map, and had made a pamphlet of information for the area directly around the apartment, including restaurants of all types. Unfortunately, there was a train strike the day we were to leave for Bordeaux and part of our train journey was canceled at 5:00 pm the night before. No worries! Francis had alternate transportation booked for us a few minutes later. He is a gem.
We highly recommend this apartment and hope to return.

Fantastic apartment
A group of 4 of us stayed here in late May 2018. The apartment is in a very good, central location - you can walk everywhere in Avignon from here, although to get to the TGV station you will need transport (Francis kindly arranged this for us).
The apartment is very large and grand and the pictures are accurate. There are 3 bedrooms - the two doubles (with huge comfortable beds) both have en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower; the twin room doesn't have an en-suite but there is a separate bathroom and toilet. The kitchen is quite compact but perfectly adequate and very well stocked with crockery/equipment/coffee makers etc. There's plenty of room - inside and out - for spreading out and relaxing. There's a utility room with washer/dryer/ironing facilities.
We all loved it here and would definitely stay again. Avignon is beautiful and there is plenty to see both in the city and in the surrounding area.
There is aircon in the conservatory but not, I think, in any of the other rooms. This is the only thing that I would flag up for the very hot summer months. There was a fan in one of the bedrooms, but I imagine you'd need more in the height of summer. I am sure Francis would arrange this for you - he was extremely helpful, friendly and efficient and responded promptly to any emails in advance of our stay. He met us on arrival and showed us around the apartment, and also came to see us off on the last day. Really, it was a very good service and I would happily recommend this apartment to others.

Magical
The property was just as charming as the pictures and the town of Avignon exceeded our expectations at every turn.
Francis coordinated our transportation to and from the train station, gave us a great overview of the apartment (it was built in the 1830's so it does have a quirk or two) a map of the town directions to the bakery, wine shop, and grocery store-all within a 3 minute walk! We felt like we were living like locals. When we had trouble with our coffee maker he was exceptionally responsive and came to see us off at the end of our stay.
Our only disappointment was that we were there in March and could not enjoy sitting in the garden. However, we made the sunroom our main room and enjoyed looking out at the garden as the trees started to leaf out and the flowers started to bloom.
If you are coming to Avignon, we highly recommend the following tours as they all exceeded our expectations:
Palais du Papes
Pont du Avignon
Gourmet Avignon walking food tour

An Avignon deligt!
A beautiful flat located in the heart of Avignon with frescos and lovely artistry on the ceilings and walls. The glassed in veranda overlooking the gardens was delightful area to spend the mornings having a cup of coffee and some treats from the nearby marketplace and in the evenings sharing a bottle or two of wine. Grocery stores are convenitly located nearby as well as an abundance of very good restaurants and shops. Francis was very helpful, including his having to chase us down in the streets upon our arrival when we somewhat lost to help guide us to the garage located in the back. The property was very nicely maintained and we highly recommend as a place to stay when in Avignon. We look forward to staying here again in the future! Clayton
