We stayed in the studio unit with jacuzzi. It was perfect and janice provided more than enough that made our stay comfortable. I highly recommend staying here!! It is walking distance from Lanikai beach and located on the safest part of the island. I will be back!!

Cozy and private place less than a mile from a gorgeous beach.

The pros…this property is in a great location to the beach. The owner is very sweet. This isn’t a true bed and breakfast, but it is a safe place to lay your head when you are in Hawaii, with privacy.
The cons…the room is very outdated. It needs remodeled. It is like stepping into your great grandma’s house…not at all what i expected and was too expensive for what it was. If we were staying longer than two days, we would have moved to a different location. There are no restaurants, stores, or anything around, so if you stay here, make sure you rent a car.
Overall, it did its job for what we needed.

Location is great. Manager onsite and very helpful. Laundry available. Covered parking a big plus. The only thing I can say is that the unit we stayed in (sunset suite) is very dated. Minor investments would go a long way. All bedding is old, carpet in unit which traps sand, mini refrigerator but has freezer. Bed is king size, but two twin mattresses put together, so substantial foam topper. Couldn’t feel the difference in two mattresses vs one, but made for a very soft mattress and with a bad back this wasn’t the greatest. The kitchen was equipped, but the instructions were to wash your dishes before you leave and the only sink is the bathroom, so kind of different. Overall good time had and can’t beat the beach! Easy to pack a lunch and cooler and walk 15 min to the beach. Also walking distance to pill box trail which leads to an amazing view. I like to get a morning run in and this is a great location to get 5-10 easy miles in in the morning. Great little store nearby that has amazing poke! One last thing, two small flights of stairs to get to unit so it you need ADA this won’t work.

Beautiful location and Janice is delightful. Our seven-year-old granddaughter stayed with us one night, and Janice made her welcome. The suite was cozy and the hot tub and lanai provided a lovely spot to relax and enjoy nature.

Good times. Good place. Owner provided lots of goodies.

Host was weet and accommodating

It was really a treat to stay here. It was a very short walk to the most lovely Lanikai beach. So many amenities were provided very thoughtfully.
4.7
Really enjoyed staying in Janice's place - amazing setup, very comfortable, she has thought of everything you might or want! Easy walk to the beach, easy navigation into town. would definitely stay there again, thank you so much!

Perfect 4 nights! Easy entry and parking. What set this place apart, however, were the thoughtful touches that the owner, a beacon of hospitality, sprinkled throughout our stay. The room was stocked with an array of great snacks and drinks, catering to our cravings at any hour. It felt as if they had thought of everything, from beach towels to beach chairs, ensuring our beach days were as carefree as possible.
Speaking of the owner, their friendly and attentive nature added a layer of warmth to our stay. The guidebook was full of recommendations for local eats and hidden gems, making us feel more like valued guests than transient travelers.
In summary, our stay was nothing short of magical. The combination of the cozy suite, the luxurious jacuzzi, the well-appointed amenities, and the owner's unparalleled hospitality made our Hawaii vacation unforgettable. If you're seeking a slice of paradise with a personal touch, look no further. This cozy house is a testament to the Aloha spirit, inviting you to relax, rejuvenate, and revel in the beauty of Hawaii.

Good for a couple but not more imo. Don’t expect a 5 star hotel room. It’s a modified B&B style with a superb location for the Kailua and Lanakai beaches.
4.7
This was a great location as we rented a car for the week and toured most parts of the island. Having local restaurants, grocery store, Target, etc. nearby was a big benefit.
The place is small, but we didn't have the need to stay inside except to sleep and shower. The patio was very relaxing.
The host lives on the property and was very attentive to any needs we had.
4.7
The property is truly hidden and beautiful. Janice the host is an expert at what she is doing. The beech (3) blocks away is stunning and picture perfect. The bed in the suite is extreamly comfortable and the private hot tub is crystal clear and truly hot (its adjustable). All in all a relaxing stay.

Good communication leading up to the stay.

Great location. Minutes from the beach with parking which is critical for Lanikai. Room was cozy, good amenities. Beach gear provided.
4.7
Lanikai is definitely a piece of paradise and we are so grateful that we found an affordable place to stay there. The location of the Hidden Hideaway was perfect, with an easy walk to the beach and drive into town. The accommodations were comfortable. We really enjoyed our private second floor patio and sat out there for hours every evening. There was also a jacuzzi spa on it. We were surprised by the amount of delicious fruit, pastries and snacks Janice provided. It was all delicious, and very much appreciated.
4.7
Great place to stay. Loved the location, the easy check-in, the snacks, and the cool landscaping! The only thing that wasn’t completely ideal was the parking situation some nights

nice place, good location

Positives: Location. Period.
Negatives: Everything smells like mildew. It caused my husband to have an asthma attack immediately upon walking in. Opening all windows, using fans and AC helped BUT owner left a rude note saying "we are not trying to cool the outside". She even came into the room to turn the fan off. Very invasive. For the price, owner should be able to pay the power bill ten times over. The "breakfast" was stale Costco items and apples and oranges. Saying the shower was a trickle of water is generous. Zero water. Shower curtain was moldy and bathroom also smelled. Beach chairs were ancient and floats were disgusting. The hot tub was cloudy and uninviting. No way were we getting in it. We wanted to stay in Lanikai. It was the only option on VRBO. Lesson learned. I hope the owner will take this to heart and clean this place up.

This was a location that really met the needs of our type of stay - we were traveling a lot, using the B&B as a home base mostly. The Inn felt very safe, it was enjoyable to simply sleep with our windows open and enjoy the natural breeze. We also appreciated having a selection of food options and access to a kitchenette. Lanikai was beautiful and our favorite spot to sit beach side and swim. I am very glad we picked this B&B over other available location. I would describe the vibe as comfortable and functional, not necessarily romantic.

It was very nice. The quest next door was sketchy to say the least ,and stole a lovely shirt of mine that was drying on my balcony
Janet prayed on it in church . Her anger about it. There were a little too many goodies in the apt it was a bit difficult to find space to put things
I was disappointed that the owner did not offer to compensate my loss which was 50 dollars. For my brand new shirt the beach early in the morning the best

Property is well maintained; owner was very nice, lots of little things she had put together to make our stay comfortable from a tray of 3 cookies, tray of breakfast goodies, coffee, tea, microwave, small fridge, clean bathroom, great air conditioning. Space was tight though for 3 adults. Update the comforter and pillows please- they looked and felt too used up, but sheets/pillow cases were clean. I would recommend this VRBO as a pleasant stay.

I had a magical stay at Janice's! First of all, the location is amazing. It was about a 7 minute walk to the most beautiful beach. I love being in a residential area as opposed to a giant hotel. I stayed in the upstairs room with hot tub. It was exactly as advertised. Janice left snacks and drinks in the room which was a super sweet touch. The hot tub on the porch was awesome and very hot. I enjoyed peaceful mornings and evenings out there with the beautiful landscaping.
Janice's place felt like home and I would 100% return. If you're looking for a place where you can truly feel the spirit of the island, this is it.
Thanks, Janice!

Very clean. Generously stocked with breakfast items—fresh fruit, coffee beans/grinder, muffins etc. Great location. Beach towels, chairs, umbrella, cooler provided. Friendly hostess.

Mahalo to Janice!
4.7
Had an amazing stay. All the breakfast goodies were awesome and Janice is super friendly! Thank you so much!
4.7
Located close to beach, very private with all beach chairs, towels, etc. available. Cozy. We bought food before arriving to find lots of pastries, yogurt, drinks, etc. in unit.
4.7
Nice and quiet neighborhood. Cute room too. Shower water pressure is low but other than that I enjoyed my stay and would come back. I loved the fruit basket and breakfast items. It lasted us the whole week. The lanai with jacuzzi is relaxing during breakfast and for socializing.
4.7
Pleasant enough stay. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone with mobility issues. If you are a Verizon customer you will have little to no service. And water pressure is very poor in the shower.
Otherwise Janice was very attentive.

A beautiful and peaceful location in Lanikai Beach! Loved the tropical breezes and be awaken by the birds singing! We enjoyed eating and resting on the lania. Great hospitality!

The location is walking distance to amazing Lanikai Beach.
Our studio had everything we needed. Beach chairs, towels, toys, mats, and bags available.
Comfortable and private.
4.7
The town and beach are wonderful! It’s a great location to walk to the beach or drive into town. We didn’t think there was enough room to cook aside from using the microwave but the fridge and unit was perfect for breakfast and lunch. Janice provided great local information for dinner meals out to celebrate the holidays and explore O’ahu. We loved relaxing in the hot tub and sitting out in the deck with the beautiful flowers and plants.
Mahalo!

the stay and the hospitality were perfect. Definitely coming back to this location again :D

My Daughter and I were very pleased with our stay! The studio was a comfortable home base to come back to after our daily excursions. Janice has thought of everything! Thank you!
