We rented JB's cottage as our daughter was getting married at The Kee to Bala so we needed a place for the wedding party to get ready for the big day. It was great space & so comfortable after the big day to come back to for sleep. Everything was perfect & we highly recommend renting this amazing place.

The best compliment that I can share about this property is that the photos do not give enough credit to how terrific it is. The property itself is on a little corner of land that had water on 2 sides. The dock area is perfect for hanging out for hours, playing in the water, and launching the provided canoe and kayaks. The main bedroom in the boathouse has a direct on-the-water view. The separate bunkie is a private retreat. The main house’s kitchen and family room was an ideal gathering place for our multi-generational family. Finally, J.B., the host, was 110% responsive and helpful. We were very happy for our 2 week visit.

Three generations of our family stayed here for a week in late June (the weather was fantastic), and were extremely satisfied. The cabin, which is an understatement, it's really a three structure compound, is situated on a rocky point off Acton Island. There's an abundance of dock space for sunny from early morning to later afternoon, and lounging while the kids play in the lake. It's equipped with two kayaks and a canoe so there's plenty of opportunity to get out and enjoy the nearby coves. The main house is large and has an open floor plan that's perfect for family gatherings. Truly a chef's kitchen, we cooked 6 of the 7 nights. Everything else was as described or better. Can't beat the location, basically between Bala and Port Carling. Would recommend 10/10 times!

Perfectly situated on Acton Island, the location offers everything you could want - privacy, sunlit dock, great swimming and water activities. The cottage is bright and spacious with a terrific kitchen, dining area and family room. Our 2 week stay was a mix of family and friends. The boathouse bedrooms were perfect for the teenagers and the cottage bedrooms and bunkie offered comfort and flexibility.
Nearby Bala and Port Carling made shopping and outings easy. And we rented a boat from Beaumaris Marina to get the full Muskoka cottaging experience.
Owner JB was very responsive and helpful.
Wonderful spot. We hope to be back again soon.

Our extended family had a fabulous vacation at this beautiful property on Acton Island. There were lots of options for comfortable sleeping arrangements: 4 bedrooms in the main house, 2 bedrooms in the boathouse and of course the bunkie with a DVD player for rainy days (see ya later kids)! The large open concept kitchen/living area easily accommodated all 12 of us. There are so many places to relax; the wide wrap around deck, the large screened-in Gazebo, the sunny swimming dock or the secluded bunkie deck. No matter where you go there is one thing you can't escape...a view of the lake! Endless swimming in beautiful deep water and the kids jumping into the lake from the rope swing were highlights for us. Bala is just a short boat or car ride away for a change of scene and a delicious treat from Don's Bakery! The property owners are kind, accessible and accommodating. The only thing that was missing was a hammock! (Hint hint). We felt lucky to be able to stay here and would love to go back next summer!

Our family rented this cottage for a week and really enjoyed our stay.
As noted in the description the location is a large lot which is very private if that is what you are looking for. The cottage itself is nicer than the pictures noted. Tee main living area is a large open area kitchen, dining area, family room which is very nice and the kitchen has new modern appliances with a large fridge which my wife appreciated. As it was cooler the week we were there we ate inside at night and there is a very large table that was able to accommodate everybody. As noted there are lots of bedrooms with great views from some of them.
The location on Lake Muskoka was great. We had our own Sea Doo's with us which were easiliy accomodated in the docks. The area of the Lake the cottage is on has great views and there was not a lot of activity on that part of the lake so it was great for swimming, lounging in the water, tubing etc yet quick easy access out to the main part of the lake, marina's for gas, and a public launch.
The owners were great to work with and very responsive to questions and reaching out to us. Check out the link to the video they have on the site as that does a great job of showing the property.
Overall we were very happy with the cottage as it was just what we were looking for
