This was our third stay at the Blue River house, and it was great once again. Super comfortable and quiet, and if you're lucky with snow, the driveway is great for sledding. Quite a few sleds in the garage to choose from.
The hot tub and heated floors were so nice too. We'll be back!

We had SUCH a great time with our family and another family! GREAT location close to the ski lifts, and plenty of space in the house. We had an issue getting in the house, but the owner was there when we called to walk us through it. We're already talking about booking next year!

Spacious house just 15-minutes outside of Breckenridge.
Unfortunately, the positives of the home were shadowed by the negatives. The Property Owner wanted to be in constant communication with us, in which he would call the house phone & our cell phone several times during the trip. The hot tub was broken which required us to fill it with an outdoor hose. The bedding & towels were not fully cleaned. Most of the mattresses were considered very firm, which may be a positive for you; the adults and children had a tough time sleeping on them which was surprising as the children will sleep on our living floor for sleepovers. The oddest experience we encountered was all the window screens were removed, and the upstairs was 76+ degrees, so we put one window screen in to open the window. We later received a charge of $75 for flies in the home due to windows being left open & accused of removing the window screens from the windows around the house (10 or so). I am not sure if I need to type this, but we did not go around a vacation rental and remove window screens for giggles. We also, did not leave the windows open at our departure. Instead, we wished we had the window screens inserted to open the house as it was warm, and for safety purposes. For the flies, we explained we had them when we arrived, and it was July in the woods so did not think much of it. Lastly, after explaining this situation to the Property Owner, we were still fined $75 as he left the country for 7-weeks.

The house was amazing! The pictures of the home were good but didn’t fully capture how beautiful the home and surrounding area was! The owner was easy to communicate with. He went out of his way to make sure the hot tub was in good working condition when he found out how important it was to us. The welcoming coffee bar was an unexpected addition! This is the first home we hope to vacation at again.

What a great location! Literally minutes from town but still has a secluded feel. The house itself is impressive, no detail was overlooked. Its exactly what you want for a mountain vacation home. We went in July but we talked about what an amazing place this would be to stay during the winter. Randy is a great owner, very prompt with communication. Wonderful views, beautiful, well-appointed home & a quick drive to Breck…what more could you want.

Property was beautiful. Had everything we needed for our young kids and infant. Owner was responsive and helpful. This is our second time staying here, and it was just as wonderful as the first time. We certainly would come again. Overall, house was clean. Perfect set up for multiple families. Love that it is outside of town - Room to explore outside with the little stream running through the yard. Great views. Loved the hot tub!

I think there is no place better than the Colorado mountains in the summer. This place is beautiful. Close enough to Breck but far enough away that you get great mountain air.
The home is warm and cozy with a great kitchen. The sofa was not very comfortable but we spent most time outside.
We had one issue with a small gas leak from the fireplace. When I contacted the owner he sent someone right away. Super responsive.

The photos do not do the house justice. Wonderful private location, with luxury amenities, just minutes from downtown Breckinridge. Host was extremely communicative and left well written and helpful instructions for everything you can immagine. I will absolutely be returning. I cannot recommend this property and host highly enough.

Beautiful spacious home nestled in the pines. Private and cozy! Would highly recommended again.
I had a 2 wheel vehicle and would recommended an all wheel drive due to snow on the driveway.

Stayed here over Christmas and this place is great! 7 of us ( 4 adults 3 kids) more than enough room. We could of had another family there and still had room to spread out. Highly recommend it. Maybe a 10 min drive to town. Owners got back to us very quickly with any questions we had. One night we were in the hot tub and a moose walked within about 30 feet of us, scared our daughter to death until she realized what it was. We would definitely stay here again, high recommend it.

My family and I had a great experience renting this house. We really enjoyed the space and location which is about 10 minutes from downtown Breckenridge. The check in/out process was super easy and communication with the host (Randy) was great. We love the views and really enjoy the hot tub. There was plenty of beds for our group of 10 and we were all comfortable. We would definitely rent this house again if near Breckenridge.

We were just a family of 3 (including a nearly three year old) and the house did not feel too big at all. It was also easy to see that the house could support a larger group very comfortably with plenty of room to spread out. Everything was well-appointed in this beautiful home and the location was quiet with wonderful evening skies. Quick and easy drive to downtown Breckenridge and our toddler said "I love the playground" that is a short 10-minute walk (with a toddler) to the nearby playground. Would highly recommend this home to friends and family and anyone else needing a place in the area.

We have stayed here several times, and each time is a real treat. The house is beautiful and very well stocked with everything needed to enjoy your stay. We love the location, nice and secluded but so close to Breckenridge. We always leave looking forward to our next visit. The owner is very gracious and easy to communicate with when needed. Hope to be back soon!

2nd stay and will return
This was my family’s 2nd time staying at this spacious and comfortable mountain house. My kids love the elevator! There’s so much room for everyone to spread out. The view of Quandary Peak makes you never want to leave. The kitchen is probably better stocked than mine at home. The location feels so remote and quiet(except for the sound of the stream gurgling in the background), but you’re just a 10 minute drive into Breckenridge. We had a couple of minor hiccups that were handled smoothly and efficiently by the host. We hope to return again soon!

Perfect!
We loved staying in this Blue River home. There was plenty of room for my family of 8, and it could have easily accommodated more. It had everything we needed from comfy beds to kitchen supplies to baby gates & toys…The location was just what we were looking for. It felt secluded nestled in the trees but we were only a few minutes from Breckinridge. Our favorite things were the steam shower, hot tub and enjoying my morning coffee on the deck taking in the beautiful surroundings. We would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous luxury cabin
This was the perfect get away for our multigenerational family. The elevator was wonderful for my parents who have a hard time climbing the stairs. All of the appliances are high end- Bosch kitchen appliances which was easy to cook with. There’s an amazing steam shower and jetted jacuzzi in the master bathroom. The views are simply stunning. Everything was clean and well maintained. There were plenty of board games for the kids to be intertwined with , even a little train set for our 3 year old. A beautiful park is just a short walk away, which sits alongside a little stream that the kids loved to play around. We will definitely go back.

Cozy Accommodating Cabin
After searching through dozens of options, this home was exactly what we were looking for in the end: A clean, well-stocked mountain house with hot tub and tons of beds.
The updated kitchen had more than enough counter space to cook large multi-course meals, with a large dining table to eat them at. The hot tub was clean and piping hot upon arrival, which we very much enjoyed, and the garage is even heated so you don't have to walk more than 10 feet in the cold when you get out of the water. Three full bathrooms with three showers that never ran out of hot water was surprising and impressive, and even though it seems like a small thing, having enough places to hang all our individual towels to dry was much appreciated. One of the most convenient features in our eyes was the cubbies and hanging pegs/racks to put all your snow gear/boots/equipment when you come in, right inside the garage door; kept everything organized and allowed it all to dry each night, highly underrated.
Only small caveat that may be worth mentioning: The side of the house where the deck and hot tub are located does face another house on the next plot over through some thin trees, so there's limited privacy from those areas. It's a moderate distance away so it's not like they're right next to you, but there is direct line of sight, especially for cars coming and going that pass right by on the other driveway.
That all said, Randy is very responsive and invested in making sure his guests enjoy their stay and is constantly making improvements, which inspires a lot of confidence for us to refer anyone we know to stay here again, which we would also absolutely do. Highly recommend!

My family enjoyed staying in this home. It was large enough that everyone had plenty of room, and it was close to town. The owner was very nice and communicated in a timely manner. I highly recommend this property!

Wonderful trip
We had a wonderful time in Blue River for our family vacation. We were traveling with our 2 year old and the home had everything we could need to make traveling with him easy. The kids loved the sleds and had fun simply just sledding down the driveway….. we’re from Florida so it’s their first time seeing snow. The house it also extremely convenient to get to downtown Breckinridge without having to stay in the chaos of downtown on the weekends. We had a wonderful time and think it would be fun to come back with more family next time!!!

Family fall getaway
Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay here! The home itself is beautiful, spacious and very comfortable and the surrounding setting is magnificent. The kids enjoyed all the games, toys and books and the adults loved the steam shower and hot tub! We all enjoyed walks and playing at the little playground just down the road. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed plus there were so many little extras. We had such a relaxing time together. Randy was super responsive and helpful. We would highly recommend this home and location. You won't be disappointed!

Much needed break
The property was wonderful and in a prime location not far from downtown Breckenridge. The house itself is beautiful and has basically everything needed to have an enjoyable and relaxing stay. There were only the 2 of us and the house could have easily accommodated a much larger group which we would have loved if our sons and their families had been able to join us! The hot tub was great evening enjoyment for both of us and was a tremendous asset. And the fireplace made relaxing very comfortable and peaceful.
There are only 2 suggestions that might have made the stay even better. First, the amount of calls on the landline. We, as many others might want to do, wanted to unplug from our day to day lives, and the phones incessant ringing made that difficult. So we ignored the calls and put the phones somewhere where we wouldn't be disturbed for the most part. Secondly, the down comforters on the beds are lovely, but unfortunately my spouse and I have two different levels of comfort with heat and I have a bad back so when he kicked off the comforter it ended up on me and created some back issues. So, we needed a regular blanket to make it work for each of us. Fortunately, after some searching, we found one. It might be good to have more blankets available...just in case. And as far as comfort goes it might be good to have some small fans available for cooling or sound just in case (some folks like ambient noise and on a hot day, the ability to move some air is good).
All in all, however, this is a beautiful home with wonderful access to outdoor activities and a great town, and I was very glad we rented it in the first place. And we would choose it again, if available, to stay at and enjoy Breckenridge, only hopefully, next time, with our whole extended family!

Gorgeous Mountain Retreat
The property is even way better than the pictures. If you're looking for an authentic home nestled in the pines with beautiful mountain views that has plenty of space for a family plus a few guests, it's perfect. My kids were pleasantly surprised at the amount of fun toys and games available for use. The playground was a big hit, too. We used the child carrier and the stroller in the garage for my two year old. Many of the trails we hiked were actually closer to the house than to Breckenridge. We hiked Quandry Peak, Hoosier Pass & Blue Lake. If you want to go to dinner/shop, Breckenridge is still close by/super easy to get to. The adults enjoyed the multitude of kitchen supplies/spices, visiting on the deck & relaxing in the hot tub. My most favorite vacation rental so far!

Best for new families!
Wow! Randy and his family were incredibly easy to communicate with, the house is impeccable, and even had bonus things like an elevator! My first time renting on VRBO and Randy and his beautiful home were just the perfect Breck combo. Thank you! We will be back!
