About this house rental
"Stay 4 nights or more and reel in the adventure—enjoy a FREE guided crappie fishing trip on us!"
The 40 year old cedar Octa-structure cabin harnesses the view of both the Elk River and Tennessee River. The two rivers are joined here to form the Twin Rivers and makes this location a focal point on Wheeler Lake.
Large deck space provides plenty of room to enjoy the view while being right on the waters of the Elk River and across the side deck the Tennessee River can be viewed. Large Oak and Hickory trees provide shade for relaxing in the hammock or grilling out. Inside the cabin a good size great room with comfortable sofas is a perfect place to get out of the sun and cool down. The cabin provides two bedrooms with a small loft above. One bathroom and laundry along with a efficient kitchen all are ready for your use.
This destination provides water lovers with every aspect of lake life.
Some of the most attractive activities include: Fishing for all species (Bass and Catfish being the most fun) Crappie and Bluegill are easy to catch along the 250 foot of seawall and dock located on the property. Even the night fishing is good on the pier.
The property joins Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) public land and boat ramp access area. This provides the traveler with an extension of more than 1000 feet of shoreline for recreation and exploring.
Boating and Kayaking are by far the best activities to enjoy during the Summer on Wheeler Lake. The boat ramp and boat dock ensure that boaters have immediate access to the lake without leaving the cabin. Wheeler Lake provides 67,070 square acres of great boating water. The cabin is surrounded by miles of TVA shoreline, campsites, and islands that are all public land which provide a great opportunity for exploring the outdoors. More information can be found at TVA's website.
Additional amenities are included at your own risk:
Two Kayaks along with two Stand Up Paddle Boards and A Canoe are provided with paddles and life jackets for you and your guest to use at your own risk, and local fishing guides are available.

We had a very peaceful stay at the Twin Rivers cabin. The house was clean and comfortable and Casey provided everything we needed for our stay. The views out the back windows and sitting on the back deck are incredible! We used the stand up paddleboards several days and had a great time on the water. I worked remotely from the cabin and had bo trouble using the internet for meetings. The barge was our favorite restaurant we visited. Thank you Casey!

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights. We had a great trip. Great access to Wheeler Lake with lakeside lot with dock for boating or fishing. We hired a local fishing guide for one day who worked out real good. We hope we can go again in the Fall or Spring. Casey was a great host.

Property was on a quiet street with easy access to lake. Caught some catfish, gar and sun fish. Nice view from the house. Home owners allowed us to enter early and leave late which was great due to our long drive. Overall relaxing stay!

We had a WONDERFUL time in this charming getaway right on the lake!! Beautiful location, very friendly neighborhood-people and dogs
: ) We caught lots of fish, enjoyed the fire pit and the grill as well as the canoe and kayaks. Casey responded quickly to any questions we had and was very helpful!! Highly recommend!

My family of 5 stayed at this property from 6/23 - 6/26. The views were beautiful. The main bed does squeak quite a bit but is very comfortable. My son is 6’5 so he had a bit of an issue showering as the shower head is pretty low, but the bathroom was clean and there were plenty of towels and rags available for use. I booked this location because my husband and son are avid fishermen, they didn’t catch anything which was a bummer, but it was still a relaxing and peaceful. I used the grill to cook the 1st night and it worked well. After eating, I put our pan of meat on the stovetop to shower and when I went back into the kitchen I discovered a German cockroach in the pan so the meat had to be thrown out. I didn’t see another one during our stay so I’m assuming it came in from outside. There are spider webs and spiders all over the deck furniture and in the canoe and kayaks as well. There are quite a few upgrades needed, and while we will not return to this location, the overall stay was comfortable enough.

The home and property was exceptional! I am from Tennessee and my kids cames from Pittsburgh. We stayed 3 nights and wish it was longer. Sitting on the deck and watching the birds and boats go by was so relaxing. I could live there in a heartbeat. Even though hearing the cicadas doing their thing was a little deafening at times, they'll be gone soon for another 13-17 years. It's a wonder of nature. Casey was an exceptional host. Easy check in and out.. and we will hopefully stay there again in a few months. Thumbs up!

We could not have asked for a better experience. Casey was highly communicative and displayed amazing southern hospitality. The property was perfect for us to relax. We wanted a tranquil setting and that's what we got. We enjoyed our morning coffees on the deck and watching all the ducks, ospreys, and white pelicans. Evenings were lovely as well. I recommend this place without hesitation. Thank you so much!

We stayed here for 3 nights for a birthday fishing trip for my 16 year old. It was perfect! Perfect access to the water and clean inside and out. Could use some cosmetic upgrades but definitely not a deal breaker. My son loved this lake so we will definitely stay here again! Don’t hesitate on this one!

The only thing that would make this place better for fishing would be a boat lift I've stayed there twice and I will be going back again someday.

Walking into cabin for the first time, struck by cleanliness, welcoming feel, beautiful view, fans wafting scented air. It just got better after that. Our stay was so wonderful. Local activities were fun, State Park was awesome and hosts were excellent people. Look forward to revisiting.

The waterfront is awesome! My kids, 12, 10, & 8 had a blast swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking when we weren’t out on our boat! The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The deck has a perfect view of the lake. The upstairs loft has a very short ceiling but my kids didn’t mind. The house was super clean and comfortable. And being only 10 mins from Rogersville was very convenient!
My only complaint is the box spring in the main room is very very squeaky. It woke me up several times when my spouse or I would move.

Me and the boyfriend LOVED it here. It was quiet and the fishing was excellent. About 10 minutes away from stores so it’s in a good location unlike some other fishing getaways we’ve been on. A nice neighborhood we felt safe in. There was a decent BBQ place with good pulled pork by the grocery store. The backyard is perfect for night catfishing and we were able to dock our boat for fishing around the lake. The back had lots of good lighting, seating and a fire pit. We came during a Mayfly hatching and the lights attracted a bunch of them just the first night so we turned them off that night but let me tell ya those Mayflies attracted schools of bluegill which was the catfish candy we needed. Definitely planning on coming again to try for bigger blues. Beds were cozy, air conditioning was cold, freezer icemaker, which us Chicagoan’s really needed with that Alabama heat lol. The boyfriend didn’t want to leave honestly. The deck was large but we liked the soft cushion chairs under the covered part of the deck during the rain. The boat ramp near the house was a huge plus. If we didn’t live 9 hours away we’d book it probably monthly. Caught beautiful blue cats, a huge large mouth, white bass, channel cat, lots of bluegill and sunfish. 2 Bait shops with an EXCELLENT selection 👌. We saw short nose Gar swimming around which was super cool as we only see long nose tby us. So many different types of birds and we’d never seen so many bright red cardinals around before. 5/5 🎣

Loved the place.. is not a lavish palace but it is a perfect lake getaway. I would like to rent again this fall of spring. Yard is really nice (bring you a croquet set if you like that). The views are amazing. You can see for 1/2 mile over the lake while you cook :).

This property is even better than advertised.
You will not find a better location. We went on boat rides and the kids tubed. There are great restaurants in Rogersville which is only 10 minutes away. Thank you to our hosts for providing us with this outstanding property!!
We will be back!

We had a great time, but I would make two suggestions.
Replace master bed mattress and put a hand held shower in bathroom, as shower head is extremely low for anyone over 5". Enjoyed our stay overall!
