About this apartment rental
Pine Place is a two bedroom, fully furnished, private apartment. All linens are provided. Master bedroom has queen bed, 2nd bedroom has two twin beds and there is a queen sleep sofa with memory foam mattress in the living room. Insulated blackout shades in bedrooms. Free WiFi, 3 TV/DVDs, gas fireplace, oversized whirlpool tub, full sized kitchen, washer/dryer on premise, A/C, private off street parking, BBQ, yard, deck and beautiful flower gardens. In winter, you can walk to the xc ski trails. You can walk the 4 blocks to the Main Street in Lake Placid where the shops, restaurants and movies are located. This place is like staying at a friends house. It’s VERY clean. No bugs (as a nurse something I always look for-I’ve seen to many), amazing water pressure, and everything you could need in the kitchen. There are two air conditioning units and that will cool the whole place. The pull out sofa has a mattress topper and it’s very comfortable. You can walk to the village, the location is great. Don’t hesitate to book this gem!

Travelled to Lake Placid for an extended family weekend and had a wonderful time. The apartment location was perfect allowing us to walk to the main drag for shopping/dining and drive to locations further away avoiding the typical high traffic areas in/around town

The apt was lovely. We stayed there for a few days for the Ice Skating competition. I have lived or visited lake placid for almost 40 years. Never have I ever had a scenario like this one. We cleaned the apt OVER AND ABOVE all expectations. We mopped the floors and vacuumed the carpets and took the sheets off the beds and put them in the washing machine. The owner texted me that we left a banana peel under the couch and a fork and that there was dog food from our service dog all over the apt. That is absolutely impossible as we fully vacuumed everywhere. We stayed there with my parents and my mother is an ocd person who helped me to clean every room immaculately.
I took pictures after we cleaned because I had a feeling that this woman was going to mess with us. While we were there she knocked on the door. My mothers service dog was with us - which she was nice enough to approve but then she said (in front of the kids) " you can come back when your dogs die". It was so rude. We tried to throw the garbage away but she insisted that we keep the garbage in the room on the porch - and then she mysteriously went through our trash and accused us of throwing things away that was her. I am absolutely appalled and still waiting for my sec deposit back.I find It horrible that she was prepared to mess with us from the get go.

It was very much appreciated how clean the property was! Can’t stress this enough. It was accurately listed and a convenient walk to Main Street. It was a good experience.

We did a weekend trip. My two daughter's and their two sons. The house was a perfect fit and the location was great. Check-in was easy and the house was clean and had everything that we needed. We will definitely keep this location on the short list for future stays.

This place is phenomenal. The pictures did not do it justice. Very spacious and beautifully decorated. The hosts thought of everything! Wish we could have stayed longer. We had an overnight snowstorm and woke up to our porch and steps already shovelled!

This is the third time my family has stayed here at Pine Place, and we have every reason to keep coming back. The location in the village is outstanding and the unit layout is comfortable and well suited for our family. Peggy is a great host who communicates well, has great recommendations for things to do, and truly cares about ensuring we have a great stay in Lake Placid. I can't recommend this place enough and will definitely be back next year!

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay here at Pine Place in Lake Placid. The apartment was so cozy and comfortable; it was beautifully decorated, very clean and supplied with just about everything you could possibly need. Like a quaint cabin and was walkable to the many shops and restaurants on Mirror Lake as well as the Olympic Center, and drivable to incredible hikes. The owner visited us on arrival and provided excellent suggestions for where to eat and hike which were spot on. We hope to return and stay here again!! Highly recommend.

Great, cozy location in Lake Placid. Nice living space for 6 of us and a couple more visitors to celebrate daughter’s engagement. Would have walked to Main Street but hill and 16 mile hike left us too little in legs.

The homeowner thought of every detail. The home was cozy, well-equipped and a lovely setting for a weekend in Lake Placid. The location is ideal, as it is within walking distance to downtown but is on a quiet street, surrounded by trees.

We loved the house and its location. Short walk to many local attractions, and a short drive to the rest of them.
Peggy is a great host. She greeted us with a details overview of all the things that Lake Placid has to offer, which was very appreciated and helpful.
We are definitely looking forward to returning to Lake Placid and staying at Pine Place again.

Peggy’s place is ideally located for all the things we like to do.
We are 20 minutes from Whiteface as well as 20 minutes from the Nordic centers.
Main Street is less
then 5 minutes by car & is a gem.
The apartment feels like home.

This property worked great for our several day stay for cross country skiing. In a quiet neighborhood, downtown is within walking distance but it is also easy to get out without town traffic. Many pluses and only one negative. The apartment comes very well equipped. Nothing has been overlooked in the kitchen, bedrooms, storage, comfort, etc. Nicely decorated and plenty of room for four. A unique plus for us was the gas fireplace.
The owner lives nearby and it was great to have a face-to-face relationship (very personable, conscientious, eager to assist or advise). The only pause was the pricing policy, which, admittedly, is a personal preference. We appreciate an advertised price that covers the cost. At the price this property was advertised it also said it could sleep six. But at checkout we were charged significantly extra because we were four people, not two. There was also a non-refund policy (standard or time-unique?) that caused us to hesitate. But, all said the positives way out weigh any personal preferences and we had a wonderful time. We would recommend this place and next year may well see us returning.

Spent a lovely few days at Pine Place while we attended events at the World University games. Pine Place was perfect for us - a clean, well-equipped unit within walking distance (or an easy drive) of all that Lake Placid has to offer. We very much enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again in the future!

We loved the large open living room area. Rooms are not that big but just what you need for sleep and storage. Very quiet street. Very close to main street and mirror lake. Easy check in, Peg had the house open before our arrival. House has everything you need just like home.

I've stayed at dozens of VRBO places and Peggy's place is up there with the best of the best.
Very clean when we got there, and conveniently located a few minutes walk from downtown Lake Placid but still very quiet and peaceful. Lots of parking and conveniently close to a semi-arterial road but, as I said, very quiet.
Best of all, though, was how well equipped the apartment was, it had absolutely everything we needed for the four days we were there. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and more, all the dishes, utensils, etc. that I can imagine ever needing. There was lots of extra bed linen and towels, soap, shampoo, etc. plus some very thoughtful touches, e.g. a USB charging plug on the bedside table in the master bedroom. I don't think I've every stayed in a place that was as well equipped.
We really liked the decor in the apartment, pictures, skis, etc. representative on the many activities available in that area. Chairs, beds, etc. were very comfortable.
And Peggy was great, too, friendly and accessible and responsive and helpful. And knowing that we'd be bringing bicycles that we didn't want to leave outside, she set things up such that we could store them inside, such a helpful and thoughtful touch.
And speaking of bicycles, that big jacuzzi bath tub was just what the doctor ordered after some challenging rides!
All in all, a superior rental experience, I absolutely recommend it.
Hope to be back sooner rather than later!

Stayed at Peggy’s lovely home for a weekend of hiking. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, and a short walk to the Main Street. Peggy was a wonderful host and reached out prior to our stay with hiking suggestions. Would return in a heartbeat!

This our second stay at Pine Place (we stayed for 5 nights last August as well) and we had another great experience. Location is fantastic, host is friendly and communicative, and the property itself is clean and well-suited for our family. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to others!

Lovely large living room with great Adirondack decor. Great facilities, good blinds for a good nights sleep. We had a great time here and will definitely come back when we return to lake placid.

Very enjoyable stay!
We just enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Peggy’s property. Very clean and all the small accommodations were there. Good communication and no down side at all. She even helped recommend additional cross country ski areas which worked out great. I highly recommend this property.

Wonderful stay
My family of four (two adults; two teens) had a great stay at this property. It was very well stocked and the location near town was convenient to walk.
