this place was so special and we loved our time staying here!! Bev was so amazing (both in communicating with us and baking us the most amazing bread fresh when we arrived) and we loved the location of the farm: convenient for errands but still private and serene. the place had everything you could want and we would not hesitate to book again! the only bad bit was leaving the adorable dogs behind!!!!

What a lovely place to stay! And the unexpected extras made it so much better and special!!
On our way we received a message from Bev checking to see what time we might be checking in. On finding out we wouldn’t be there until 4:00 pm, I received a reply from Bev saying that since it’s getting cooler, she’d go and light the fire for us.
So we were welcomed into a lovely warm cottage with the fire place lit, a gigantic loaf of delicious, fresh bread with a nice, sharp bread knife & real butter, waiting to be slathered onto a nice thick slice of soft bread with a fabulously crunchy crust!
Also in a basket were condiments to add to the bread, delicious Dark chocolate and a bottle of an amazing Shiraz to enjoy while sitting in peace out the back, listening to birdsong or conversing with one of the friendly canine characters that are lucky enough to include Wisteria Cottage in their home range.
But that wasn’t all. We found fresh eggs from the farm chickens in the fridge that we were able to enjoy for breakfast during our 2 day stay.
We would definitely recommend Wisteria Cottage as a fabulous country retreat.
Thank you Bev for letting us stay in the peaceful and comfortable Wisteria Cottage.

Relaxing break
We were looking for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing property and this place was perfect. A secluded bush property which was within easy drive to Augusta. Good sized and had all facilities you need. The owner Bev was great as was the daily visits from the assorted pets.

Charming cottage
Wisteria Cottage is a charming character property in a tranquil bushland setting close to Augusta, Western Australia. It has a real “home from home” feeling. We were warmly welcomed by the owner Bev and her 4 dogs. Freshly made bread, chocolates and wine were thoughtfully laid out for our arrival. Poultry and geese also run freely on the property which is close to Jewel Cave, the Blackwood River, vineyards and coastal attractions of this far southwest region.

staycation
The cottage has everything you need and with Bev's touches it is very homely. Bev and the dogs along with the chooks were very welcoming. A freshly cooked loaf of bread with other goodies were waiting for us on arrival. It was lovely waking up to the sound of the birds. we would thoroughly recommend Wisteria cottage.

Delightful break from reality
Welcoming, comfy, peaceful little piece of our lovely South West. Handy to all facilities - it was rainy and cold while there but the cosy fire meant we were always warm and this added to the charm. Hope to visit again.

Idyllic relaxing getaway
I booked the trip as my birthday trip to Morocco had to be cancelled and I wanted to get away to unwind. Bev was incredibly sweet with some fresh home-made bread, fresh eggs and some lovely chocolate, wine and a birthday card to make my 40th a bit more special as I was by myself. The house was clean, quiet and relaxing. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I felt so relaxed even after just one night. Her beautiful friendly dogs were very welcoming and I even have an impromptu visit one evening at the back door for a game of fetch. It feels like the middle of nowhere and you don't realise that the main house is nextdoor because it's so private. The house is within easy driving distance of so many attractions it made it a lovely few days. I'm definitely going back again!

Beautiful little retreat
As we arrived at the cottage we were welcomed by Bev and her gorgeous dogs. Awaiting us inside was a warm loaf of bread and some yummy chocolate. The garden is beautiful and so peaceful. The dogs always wonder over to the cottage for a pat and a game of fetch. We very much enjoyed our stay

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing
This was more than expected. It was a weekend getaway for our 23rd Anniversary and it was much much more than expected. The Welcome Basket with fresh bread was really appreciated but it was the Anniversary card that was appreciated the most. The dogs were super friendly (as were the chooks) and Bev was a gracious host. Will definitely be back again. Thank you for a wonderful stay and thank you to both Bev and Mike.

Little paradise
This was a wonderful and peaceful stay with all the birds, quiteness and nature. The cottage itself has everything we needed - even an electric blanket when it was really cold. It is a pity that we are so far away from Wisteria - staying in South Africa - but if we get a chance in future, we would like to come back. Thanks Bev for your hospitality and the lovely goodies - especialy the fresh and hot homemade bread - waiting for us when we arrived at your cottage. Carla and Piet.

Perfect little cottage for a relaxing getaway
We loved our stay at this cosy little cottage so much that we were sad to leave after our four-days and three-nights there over the Easter holidays. Bev is a fantastic host who welcomed us with a basket of goodies including freshly baked bread, a bottle of wine, chocolates and eggs. The place was very clean, cosy, tastefully furnished and decorated and had all the amenities for a relaxing stay.
The surroundings were so quiet and all we could hear were the birds. Bev's four dogs were very friendly and well behaved, we spent hours playing with them. It was the perfect getaway for us and we will definitely be back.

I stayed for 2 days in April and it was fantastic. Bev's welcome basket was very thought full and the place very clean. It was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept on in a holiday home- most are way too firm.
Lot's of birds and animals around and in the perfect spot for exploring Augusta, Hamelin Bay and Margaret River.
The only thing that would have made it better was if I'd come when the wisteria was in bloom- but thats just an excuse to go again!

We stayed two nights over a long weekend at Wisteria Cottage. The whole experience was perfect for us. The location is easy to find and even though it's off busy Caves Road you are instantly away from the world. The cottage has all the amenities required and a great welcome pack of goodies awaits you. We could sit endlessly in peace watching the birds and the sounds of the wind in the tops of the trees. We highly recommend here and will want to come back.

Friendly greeting from Bev and her dogs, made to feel very welcome. Large comfortable cottage
Loved staying there, the wisteria is remarkable. We were greeted with lots of treats, even a coffee machine in the cupboard. Big tv to watch the tennis and a very comfortable queen size bed with lovely linen. We had eggs from Bev’s hens and toasted bread that Bev made. We would have stayed longer if the cottage wasn’t booked through to the end of January. Loved our stay, thank you Bev

A gorgeous cozy escape in tranquil surroundings
Our time with Bev was a delight from the beginning. When we arrived she had already prepared some fresh hot bread and left us some wine and chocolate and started up the fire. There were even fresh eggs! The cottage was everything we could need and the kitchen was exceptionally well appointed.
It was a delight to wake up every morning to the birds and we really felt like we were in a private place while having the security of knowing they were nearby should we need them. The place is in its own space but the owner's house is next door.
There was a lovely bath and bath salts, a very hot shower and even comfy bath robes to make us feel that we were in a 5 star resort instead of a cottage.
My only complaint is that we didn't know how to use the oven or fireplace so we couldn't enjoy those features after the first day. If I went again I'd also bring a few DVDs of my own (as there wasn't much that appealed to my partner and I) and a cozy blanket for the living room.
If you're looking for a romantic cozy get away with your significant other than I really recommend this place. It was beautiful.

The host and dogs are very friendly and welcoming. The setting is private with morning visits from the hens, a rooster, and geese. Plenty of room to walk around the gardens, with strategically placed seats. The log fire makes the cottage very comfortable. Also the closeness to Augusta makes this a great place - and the humpback whales came right up beside the harbour wall - who needs a boat? Overall a great place for a couple to relax and enjoy the southwest corner.
