Happy to be out of the apartment

Great location and view. Good shower.

There is too much furniture in the living room area of this small apartment, but there are no bedside tables.

De wifi werkte niet meer op dag 2 . Op dag 1 was er een zwakke wifi-verbinding.

Super nice stay in the city center with an amazing view

The apartment is really in the city center in the main square. You have an amazing view and is actually bigger than I expected, for 2 people is more than enough, the kitchen was super nice and well stocked with everything you might need even a coffee machine with coffee pots. You can go by walk to the train station like 20 min not that terrible.

Even Antwerp not being super hot in summer, the apartment gets super hot at night and there is no AC, so you have to open the windows to sleep and in summer season it can get really noisy at night. We as young ones were actually not able to sleep by the party and music and noise outside. Solvable with the installation of AC cause the windows where super noice insulators. The shower got a really bad smell some days and kind of flooded. Very solvable though.

We felt lucky to stay in this lovely, well-located, and comfortable apartment - highly recommended!

The location was unbeatable, literally. We looked out on the Grote Markt, which is spectacular at Christmas (or any time). The apartment arrangement was spacious, with separate areas for dining and the kitchen, which we liked.

One small suggestion I would make: the apartment is decorated very nicely, but because of all the nice decorations, it was not so easy to put our stuff anywhere except the closet. I guess I would leave some empty space in the living/bedroom area. Of course, we just moved things to make room.

Lovely Antwerp,

Wonderful location in the main square. Comfortable and clean accommodation. Every thing you need.

Noisy at night especially when hot and you need the window open. Dont let this put you off, take ear plugs and perhaps a blackout mask if you are a light sleeper.

Best location in Antwerp

Great location, friendly host, complimentary snack & wine. All facilities you need, such as fridge, micro, coffee machine with pads, oven. Although you live in an old building, the bathroom was fresh a d clean. You can't stay more centrally in Antwerp.

Fantastic place and location to discover the Old Town

Location, Location, Location. Kitchen was stocked with tea, coffee, sugar etc. Little gifts of sweets and wine. Apartment is directly over a great Ice Cream shop. Comfy bed, nice linen, plenty of space, modern, contemporary.

Aircon would have been nice

A wonderful place to experience Antwerp for the first time.

Everything about this place is perfect including having a gelato place run by the owners daughter downstairs. Charming with wonderful furnishings as well as a full kitchen at your disposal.

Very good

Location was excellent with easy access to old town and restaurants and cafes.

Our only problem concerned the front windows. The windows could not be opened if the blinds were pulled down. The blinds needed to be down to exclude the bright lights of the Grite Markt. The bedroom therefore remained very warm at night.

Amazing apartment with Belgian atmosphere

I'd like to thank Mady and Eva for their exceptional hospitality, fast responses to my questions, helping with late check-in, and an opportunity to leave the baggage after check out. The apartment is very great full of Belgian atmosphere, I really like the yard) The kitchen was fully equipped and I like it a lot!

Only at the end of our stay, we understood how to regulate the heating system, so it was freezing before.

Exceptional

The location of the apartment is excellent - it is situated on the main town square. It has a nice little area to drink coffee and watch people pass by :) It is soundproof (double-windows) so it is not loud at night. The bed is also very comfortable. The apartment has everything that one might need - we stayed for four nights and we did not lack anything. Would highly recommend it!

Book it if you have the chance

Great place to stay when visiting Antwerp! The apartment has a view to the principal square of the old centrum of the city which makes our stay there even more special. Very comfortable apartment, well decorated, clean and modern. Eva was very kind and helpful.

Super location, in middle of historical centre. Uncomplicated, very friendly people. Very well isolated, so quiet at night. A recommendation for historical city lovers.

If you stay in Antwerp, there is no better place than Mady's Antwerp Old Town Apartment!

From the moment we stood in front of the property, agape at the central location (square in the Grote Market), we knew we hit the jackpot! Actually, before we arrived we knew we were in good hands, as Mady, our hostess, was quick to respond to our inquiries, offered great suggestions, and remained in contact with us throughout our stay - a selling point for us! We fetched keys from Eva in the gelateria on the ground floor (Compagnie Belge Artisan Gelato), and subsequently ate one of the most delicious Belgian waffles we've ever had, and later enjoyed her delicious home made ice cream; so good! The apartment itself lacks nothing, is darling, and both clean and comfortable. From the line-up of windows that open to the square, the view of Grote Market is spectacular (we even enjoyed watching a nice rainstorm from it one evening). Add the gift of a lovely bottle of wine to help us celebrate our 30th anniversary, and we couldn't have asked for more! We stayed 5 nights, and wished we didn't have to leave. If you get the chance, we highly recommend staying at Antwerp old Town Apartment.
