'Sunset Bliss' is a brand new house completed in mid 2018. The house sits just a tad over a block from the beach. It has a large, private, heated salt-water pool in the backyard. The house has 8 bedrooms, 7 baths, and two living rooms (one upstairs + one downstairs). We hope that you'll find it to be comfy & beautiful.
The Space
You’ll enjoy its perfect layout featuring the open kitchen with a large island , the dining room, and a large living room area downstairs plus 3 first floor bedrooms each with their own full first floor bathroom. There is a 4th bathroom in the first floor as well. Upstairs you’ll enjoy another 5 bedrooms, three more full bathrooms, and a second living room area containing a pull-out queen sleeper sofa. This second upstairs living room ( also used as 8th bed room) will provide a perfect place to relax or play for the toddlers, teens, or afternoon snoozers of your group at times when the downstairs living room is occupied.
Two upstairs porches will provide the perfect place for your morning cup of coffee if you’re not yet ready to sit by the private pool in the backyard. There is ample parking for 7+ vehicles.

The house was very nice! T first floor had three bedrooms, two kings and a double queen, all with full bathrooms plus a separate half bath and laundry at the front. The kitchen, dining area and living room were open creating good flow for people to have space but still be able to see each other. Plenty of seating at the dining table and huge kitchen island. Upstairs had another two king rooms with baths, a double full and a queen bunk room plus a back room with a couch, chair and two twins, which served great for separate lounging/privacy. The deck off the back was big with a couch and two chairs plus an overhead fan. The lower back porch off the living room was covered and had a table with six chairs and an overhead fan, which was great for staying out of the sun to play games or eat, but still see the shallow end of the pool. The pool was nice and had three long steps at the shallow end, great for kids to play if not swimmers yet. The three lounge chairs could have been a bit more comfortable since they were just plastic and didn’t have any give, but we didn’t use them much anywaY and there were poles for two hammocks but no hammocks. Beach towels were not provided.
We used the grill which worked great and the kitchen had plenty of cookware, utensils and plates/bowls. The ice maker didn’t work right away, but after turning it off for several hours then back on it eventually did. Lots of counter and cabinet space plus a huge pantry to put food.

This property was everything that was explained in the description. It was set up perfectly for everyone to sleep comfortably. We ate in a lot and there was plenty of cookware and dishes. There were beach chairs at the house so we didn’t have to spend the money to rent the chairs on the beach and the beach entrance was a short walk. We forgot something after check out and I was able to contact the property owner and get back into the house. Overall this was a great property!

Wonderful Family Vacation
Home was everything detailed in the listing. The owners were fantastic with communication. Home was perfect for our family( 12) and we had lots of room to spare. Although we enjoyed the ocean being a quick walk from here, we definitely took advantage of the backyard and pool at the home. It was wonderful. It was one of our most favorite places especially because we are leaving with our oldest son becoming engaged. Can’t wait to come back and hopefully make more memories here. Thank you again for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home.

Problems but had fun
When booking this place for the annual vacation of the 21 people in my immediate family noticed that it was only 3400 sq feet and advertised it held over 20 people. I had doubt but the place is laid out perfectly and handled the 13 adults and 9 grandchildren. The location is about a block and a half, east walk unless you have a bunch of beach stuff which we did so I shuttled the families with my pickup. Golf carts a waste as it won’t carry all the umbrellas and toys and surfboards etc.
The house worked fine after advising the owner, who always answers, about cleaning issues. The place needed a deep clean, dust hung on the lights, in the corners and baseboards and my adult kids took exception to it. The manager sent the cleaning team quickly and they helped but didnt do much. He is having trouble getting g people to do this kind of work and I understand that. These owners have to rely on these cleaning companies and they also supply the towels, etc. Honestly the towels were very thin and dingy so bring your own. The house was booked solid and takes a beating, the plastic racks (where you keep the milk) we’re broken and cracked. I repaired one of them and still holding when we left. These were the issues which we overcame with the owners help and had a great time.
The pool is great and shaded in the evening which was nice. This is a great property, yes a few issues but it took care of us and we are glad we used it.

We had a fabulous family Christmas at Sunset Bliss! Plenty of room for our large family and having a bathroom for each bedroom is a major plus. We had room for the kids to play, teens to hang out, and adults to relax. The pool was a hit, but was not heated to 85 degrees when we arrived.
I do have some suggestions:
Air set no lower than 72 is good when it’s 90 outside, but makes for a stuffy, warm house when the temp is in the lower 70’s. We all experienced sleepless nights because of this.
There was only two extra trash bags, two dish washer pods, and no extra toilet paper in most of the bathrooms. With a rental that can sleep 28-30 people, adequate supplies of these should be provided.
Also, such a late check in and early check out is troublesome. I feel that we lost a whole day.
Even with those negatives, I believe our trip was still a hit with everyone. We bought what was lacking and dealt with the warmth. Destin offers many options for entertainment. The location also allows for delivery from restaurants if you prefer to stay in.

Great for a group trip
We had a large group of families, and this property was perfect. We loved that almost every bedroom had a private bathroom. The outside area by the pool was great for hanging out. It was a little trek to a Public beach access, so I highly recommend renting a golf cart. The location was very close to attractions and restaurants though. Our only downside was the late check in and the early check out; we felt like we missed a full day of our vacation. But we loved the house itself and will consider it foe our future travels!

We had a great week! It was nice to have a house that had bedrooms for all 20 of us and no one was on a couch. Well stocked kitchen and nice pool to relax in. About a 1/4 mile walk to get to a part of the beach to pitch a tent.

House is set up perfectly for families - each bedroom has it's own bath with the exception of the children's bunk room which shares with another bedroom. Nice neighborhood for walking and the kids loved watching the squirrels run around the fence in the back yard. Chairs, floats and beach toys were provided.

Thanksgiving getaway
Sunset bliss was perfectly described. We had a group of 17 in that was 3 kids and the house fit is perfect. Just about every room having their own bathroom was perfect with that many adults. Only downside was I didn’t pay for the pool heater before hand and the pool guy due to the holidays was out so he couldn’t turn it on for our stay other than that. Perfect vacation would definitely recommend to everyone I know as well bring the family back.

House was great! We have been going to Destin for 25 years for a fraternity brother golf outing. Very difficult to find an adequate size home where 9 adults have their own room/bed especially with close proximity to the beach. This house not only meets that requirement but was less than 2 years old.
Property owner AJ was great to work with on a couple of very small maintenance issues. The temps were warm enough that the pool temp was great without the heater being on.
We did suggest to the property owner to replace some of the pool lounges due to the damage from salt in the air.
We liked the property enough that we rented it again for our 2020 fall trip even before we checked out. Highly recommend!

Other than a couple beds having sand on/in them, the house was pretty clean upon arrival. We also never quite figured out the outlets in one of the upstairs bedrooms, but they just used the outlets in the shared bathroom for chargers, etc. There is a maintenance person to contact, we just got too busy to deal with it so that’s our fault. Other than those couple things, our stay was great. The house had everything we needed as far as cooking meals. If you are clean people then I suggest bringing your own cleaning supplies as your options provided are minimal. We had 15 adults and 2 babies on our stay and we had plenty of room/beds to accommodate everyone comfortably. The pool is larger than the pictures show which was a nice surprise. It is about a 5-7 ish minute walk to the beach if you’re carrying anything; however, there is public parking near the beach entrance if you prefer to drive. We rented a golf cart and got our money’s worth out of it. There are plenty of beach toys for kids and chairs provided at the house, and the additional wagon was also helpful. We also appreciated the parking spots in front of the house. We all drove large vehicles there and we were able to fit them all there. There was plenty of seating in the common areas. Overall I think everyone on the trip enjoyed their stay and would come back next year!

This was our 3rd year spending our vacation in Destin, Fl. We love Destin!! My family really did like our stay at Sunset Bliss. The house was exactly as described and more. Very spacious, my son and his wife have a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old so they wanted them to stay in the same room with them. They brought their own queen size air mattress & put it in the room with them. It was plenty of room for it along with the king size bed that was in the room. The house was very clean. We totally enjoyed our stay at Sunset Bliss!!

Beautiful and hreat location
The house is beautiful and comfortable. We had 13 adults and 4 kids. The house was spacious and the pool and grills were a great addition. The location is close to many attractions and a short walk to the beach. We definitely hope to visit again soon.
