Hello and welcome to our lovely, colorful condo!

Our peaceful and inviting nautical condominium is perfect for an amazing bay and beach vacation. With a great location on the surreal Emerald Coast, a 700 foot Lazy River, you are sure to come back year after year. This unit is a ground floor unit/lanai where guests can sun or step outside the gate into the lazy river with a gorgeous bay side backdrop. The waterfall pool, gradual entry pool and two large hot tubs provide a variety of activities for water lovers. The patio/sunning decks in this water area provide both shade and sun for people of all ages. Large lounge chairs, tables & chairs, umbrellas are provided for your leisurely days spent by the lazy river. Grills w/ tables are provided in the green areas behind the lazy river. There is also a walkway for strolling alongside the bay and marina. Free beach service is provided when you go to the ocean. A toddler pool, hot tub, and Destin West's largest pool and exercise facility are the additional amenities found on the beach side. You can easily access the beach side by walking the sky bridge from bay to beach, or you can drive to the round-about in front of Destin West Beach Side, unload your family and beach equipment, park your car in the shaded parking deck and walk from there to the beach.

LOCATION:
Our condominium is centrally located between Destin and Fort Walton Beach on Okaloosa Island. We are five miles from Destin and one mile from Fort Walton Beach. You are in the middle of two of the best vacation cities in America. Not only do you have four miles of undeveloped land on one side (free of mass crowds of people), but on the other side you have access to the Gulfarium, beach side restaurants and shops, fishing, water-sports, and more. Take your pick! Either side has the vacation you have been waiting for.

FEATURES:
Not only is our location perfect and our condominium's sunny, but the view is unforgettable. Imagine an oasis of palm trees with cool, turquoise water running like ribbon (the lazy river) around gorgeous tropical landscaping. Lounge on our large porch and overlook sailboats floating by on the inner coastal waterway while watching the kids float by on the lazy river.

BAYSIDE POOLS:
Close your eyes on our private patio and listen to the waterfall hit the water in the additional heated pool and you will think you are in a tropical paradise.,,,,or enjoy the 5000 sq.foot pool, gym, and super large pool at Destin West across the street. We also have internet access for those of you who need to connect for business. With so many features, how could you pass this up?

This is our 3rd year staying at Destin West. Unit was perfect. Love the restaurants, lazy river, and pools. We made some wonderful memories. Host was very helpful. We will be back.

My stay in this unit was great when it came to the resort amenities. The pool and lazy river was excellent! Access to the beach and bay was great! However the unit itself was not the best. For the price point we paid I would have expected much better. The oven and stove were very cheap and took 20 mins to heat the oven. The coffee pot was very cheap and leaked all over the place. It took a good 12 mins to brew a full pot. None of the mattresses were comfortable at all especially the couch bed. Owner should provide a topper for that bed at a minimum. Also the hallway where the bunks were was right in front of the utility closet. Whenever the AC came on it would vibrate very loudly in that closet which made it hard to sleep. Lastly I have stayed in several vrbo’s in this area prior and this is the first place the owner only provides 1 roll of toilet paper, one roll of paper towel, zero bar soap for the shower and only 2 dishwasher tablets. Again you are on vacation and the price we paid should definitely include those essentials for the amount of days you rent it for.

This is our 3rd time going to this condo and it never disappoints. Only 1 small complaint is that the master bedroom did not get cold enough at night. The ceiling fan and box fan helped but wish AC was better and/or we could make it lower than 68. I still enjoyed this vacation and will return. My family and I love the spot. Has everything you need and more

We have no issue with the condo or owner. Meredith was very kind and helpful. We were in contact the entire time and she knew our circumstance. I gave them 5 stars because there is NO issue with them! This is a warning to not buy the Generali Insurance! We bought it because my father-in-law was sick and we might need to cancel. We ended up canceling the trip, but Generali would not pay! I provided all the information and documents needed and they still did not refund us. I am very disappointed and frustrated!

Overall great little condo. Wish that the hallway bunk room had a door. We ended up buying a tension rod and blackout curtains to help with light control and noise. Outdoor porch was a wonderful space for meals. LOVED that we could see the Boardwalk fireworks from the master balcony.

This condo was beautiful and clean. It was actually much larger than I expected and it was so nice to have that second bathroom since there were six of us. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware and there were plenty of towels. The washer and dryer were great to have also. Just a forewarning for those with mobility issues - the king size bed in the master bedroom is tall/high. You definitely have to climb up in it. This wasn’t a problem for us but I can see where it would be an issue for some. The resort was so nice and picturesque. Sadly the beach was only open on our arrival and departure days so we only got a couple hours of water play on the beachside. All other days were double red flags. Thankfully, my kids didn’t mind playing in the bay, the resort lazy river, and pool. My husband and son also enjoyed fishing from the dock. They caught a few but most broke their line (and even a pole) and got away but put up a nice fight. I’m so glad we chose this resort. Having access to the bay for swimming and fishing really saved our trip due to the water on the beachside being closed. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything from arrival to departure was simply, amazing. Everything is exactly as described in the listing. My family had a wonderful time staying here. It was myself, my husband, and our four children agas 9, 10, 12, and 15. Everything was spotless, and labeled (if needed), and the convenience of being so close to the entrance of the pool, hot tubs, and lazy river was great! A bonus was the pull cart for the beach that we utilized when walking across the bridge over to the gulf side of the property. Meredith's communication was amazing (and almost immediate) when reaching out to her, and I look forward to booking through them again!

The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The location to the lazy river and pool area was the best! Having the beach wagon available was a huge plus! We don't go to the beach enough to have something like that but it was needed to carry all of our stuff to the beach. Having the walk over to the other side of the street was great! We were also able to walk to restaurants on the beach, which was a huge plus! I don't love the traffic of this area, but once you are at Destin West, you don't even have to deal with traffic! We would stay here again.

I was one of the original rental agents at this resort. It's grown up since I was there 15 years ago but hasn't lost its charm. The unit itself is very comfortable, well-appointed, and has a great view. The master bed is high which is great for tall people like me! I love the lanai level and easy access. We had one minor issue on the first day of our stay which was fixed quickly. The owners are responsive and helpful. Book this condo!

This unit was perfect for our family of 5! A private bedroom and bath for my wife and I, bunk beds for my girls and the sofa bed for my son! Also has a 2nd full bathroom! The property manager Meredith is unbelievable! Provided us with so much valuable information and made the entire trip great for us. We had one small issue and she had the maintenance team there within minutes! 5 stars all the way!

We had a great vacation at the property! The best part is the location next to the large pool area and lazy river, very convenient with kids. It is a pretty easy walk to the beachside but does require some effort. The condo was clean, had lots of amenities, and just as expected from pictures. Note the bunk room does not have a door, which we knew. Adding a gas grill outside would improve this whole experience even more. The included wagon was nice. Definitely recommend staying here.

The pictures accurately reflect the condo and it was super clean. The condo is well equipped with all supplies needed. The lazy river, pools and workout room were all well maintained. We loved the location- easily accessible to the beach, restaurants, etc. Also, very pleased with the property manager, who was great about responding to any inquiries.

My boyfriend and I came down to Destin for my 30th birthday. We were thrilled with the accommodations and everything this VRBO had to offer! The condo is very clean and exceeded our expectations. We loved the atmosphere, the lazy river, and the quick walk to an absolutely gorgeous beach! We’ve never seen a more beautiful beach and such clear water! Our favorite part was the complementary beach umbrella and two beach chairs. We would definitely come back again! Meredith was extremely helpful and Informative. She gave us many tips, and the entire process went very smoothly. You won’t be sorry if you book this VRBO!

Everything was perfect! 2nd time at this condo! Loved the easy access to pool and beach. Wagon was very helpful extra. Kitchen had it all and place is perfect size. Guess only thing I would change is to have AC little less than 68 at night just bc I get hot flashes bc of medicinal induced menopause :/ but we will still b back next year!

My family and I had a wonderful experience at this property. In fact, we have booked two years in a row. The best feature is the easy access to the lazy river, which kept my two boys ages 9 and 13 occupied all day. There’s also easy access to the beach with the two beach chairs included with the property. The inside is comfortable and has everything that we need….I always sleep great. We also love all of the attractions nearby.

Loved every minute of it! The pool is awesome and the short walk to the beach is well worth it! Very clean and had everything we needed. The only thing that I wish we had is a gas grill on the patio like the other first floor units had. My family and I love to grill and that would have been the icing on the cake if we had one right on the patio. It’s the only reason I would look for a different first floor unit. Other than that we couldn’t ask for a better trip, experience, and place to stay.

The condo was exactly as described and pictures are current of how the condo looks. We were pleasantly impressed as we walked through the condo door upon our arrival. There is plenty to do on the complex if you to just spend a day relaxing. The lazy river, hot tubs and pool are just steps away from the condo's patio. The beach is just a short walk away and the included beach setup is a nice perk. Meredith and Bill were excellent host! They were very attentive to our needs and was quick to reply. Highly recommend and will definelty be rebooking this condo!

We had a great stay at Pelican L01. We love the Lanai rooms with the access to Lazy River. The condo is very well equipped with all the cooking utensils and pots and pans you would need. Very nice updated appliances and the mattress on the King bed is very nice. This condo is perfect for a couple or small family. The seasonal Okaloosa Island Fireworks can be seen from the master balcony, no need to go across the street.
