Spacious, comfortable yurt steps away from the beach as advertised. Views were pretty. Kitchen and bathroom had all we needed. Hot tub was clean and hot and functional, though the lid contraption was heavy and tie down straps were a bit hard to manage. Bed sunk in the middle and pillows were hard, but we found softer pillows for the second night. Highway noise was more than I expected, but we could sleep through it. The TV has some kind of problem and paused every 5 seconds till we pushed Play again on both DVDs and streaming. Gave up on watching a movie or TV. I washed dishes in the kitchen twice, and both times the hot water ran out in about 6 minutes. Customer service person took 47 minutes to get back to us, and was in a distant location and did not know the property and could give only general suggestions for things to try with the water. So I just told them nevermind, and we took 5 minute showers just in case. That was frustrating because we kept seeing the property owner, who parked right next to us, who probably would have been able to answer questions. Most of the stuff at the property inside and out is dated and worn, except the bathroom and bedroom, which are nicer. All that said, we had an enjoyable time. I was expecting to be wowed because of the price, which I would love to share with you, but Vacasa flagged and would not allow. With all the additional fees, the total does not match what I expected.

A few of us took a quick weekend planning getaway and it was exactly what we needed and this yurt was perfect for us. The hot tub was an exceptional perk, especially in the early morning. The yurt is right on the bay and offers access to take beautiful strolls when the tide is out; keep your eyes open for herons, egrets and other life in the bay! The set up of the yurt was great and we were all comfortable. There were 3 of us and I think 4 would have been a bit crowded, but can still work. I think it should be more clear that the "bathroom" is marked with curtains as opposed to walls. For as small as the kitchen is, we were able to make delicious meals without much fuss or missing certain appliances, etc; it's really well-stocked and thoughtful!
We all long for a return to this gem of a spot. :)

Very cute and interesting place. The hot tub was completely clean. With freezing temps overnight the fireplace did an amazing job keeping up.

The yurt was cozy, comfortable, clean,, and neat as a pin. An absolutely perfect little private retreat for a weekend!

We love it here. Our second time back to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A quite and peaceful spot where we can relax and enjoy nature together. Big enough for two or three very close friends or family. Husband and I bring a cooler for drinks and stock our food in the fridge. The yurt has everything you need for simple living.

The yurt was great. Loved the bay views and, oh my, the birds were spectacular. On the downside, the DVD player was broken and no one told us the yurt was 50 feet from West Virginia. Finally, there is no beach, just miles of broken rocks.

Everything was nice except we were never able to get the Internet to work on the television and we called numerous times and finally just gave up.

This yurt is called “secluded” in the description. In reality, there is nothing secluded about it. It is an ADU behind a large house in a neighborhood full of homes and there is a big shop next to it that someone is using all day long. The front and side yard of the yurt is a parking lot that four vehicles not, including our own, were in an out of all day/night. The yurt itself is lovely however, with it literally just being a tent there is no audible privacy. No walls blocking out all the noise of the people who park their cars there using them at 4 AM or the neighbor doing construction super early in the morning or even the road noise from the highway. Lovely yurt just without any privacy; we won’t be back and you should really change the description. I would post a picture of the front/side yard of the yurt with all the cars and the big shop but Vacasa doesn’t allow it.

Staying at the yurt was the best vacation and exceeded my expectations. Perfect views, minutes away from so many beaches, local shops, and delicious food. I would 110% come back! The hot tub was clean and easy to use.Thank you for providing us a perfect stay!

Overall amazing experience, being able to stay right on the Bay, relax in the hot tub, and walk out to the water made this a great getaway. The yurt itself was very cozy but does need some dusting.

The Yurt on The Bay felt like home the moment we stepped inside. It is comfortably appointed, and well cared for, and has an amazing view of the bay that I cannot recommend strongly enough near sunset. We had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back in future visits! Thank you for a wonderful time!

The land and view is wonderful. It’s quiet and private—all the things that makes this a 5 star. But there was a sweet and sour smell in the yurt that I thought was mold—at least that’s how a lot of Portland basements smell. But maybe it’s some weird cleaner. There’s just no air circulation with only one door and no windows to open. Also Vacasa was totally unresponsive to several texts I sent about the hot tub. This is the third and last time I rent a Vacasa home.

The yurt itself was darling. The beams and skylight are beautiful, minus the cobwebs. The property is great if you can get past the horrifying shed across from the driveway that has its door open always, and 2-3 cars coming and going. The bed was super comfortable and the shower is awesome!!!! We were only given 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 days and check out is at 10am, but 9am landscaping was there to make sure we knew it was time to go. Made our relaxing weekend end on an anxious note. Overall we won't be staying at the Yurt on the Bay again, but happy to have had the experience.

This place was amazing! Never seen or stayed at such a fancy yurt! And the view was phenomenal. Hit tub was a definite bonus. Will definitely be returning!

We loved our stay! It’s small but still luxurious. And the water is right out front. We saw wildlife like deer, water birds, and giant slugs! Bring binoculars to see them up close, and extension cords since space and outlets are tight in this carefully planned hut. Time your trip right because light streams in from the top and lights the whole space, which could impact sleep. The green space out front was wonderful for our doggo. Since it’s on the bay, no real ocean sounds, but at high tide it’s like your practically sitting on the water. Bring boots or water shoes to walk the bay at low tide - it’s quite muddy (less sandy) but fun! So relaxing! We were planning out next visit on the ride home :)

This property is in a beautiful neighborhood and the Yurt has a close-in unobstructed view of the bay. In walking distance is the Kilchis Reserve which is an outstanding walk in a gorgeous woodland out to a point on the bay.

First, let me say this is one of our favorite places to visit. It’s private, beautiful views and a nice getaway for us. We just wish the couch was newer and to please fill the hole next to the paver by the hot tub. My husband rolled his ankle. Accidents happen… :) We would also prefer non-scented detergent used on the towels and bedding. Other than those three things we really love the Yurt on the Bay. Especially when it rains! (Awesome shower head too!)

Loved our stay
My husband and two kids and I stay for 2 nights. We felt that we had our own private beach. Didnt see other people. Dug lots in the rocks of the bay and walked up and down checking out all the drift wood. I feel like I never see it anymore on the coast. We used hot tub it was very nice. Didn't get around to bbq or fire pit but liked the idea of it. The little kitchen was perfect size for us. We drove to rockaway for sand experience for the kids cause bay isn't quite the same as dry sand. We saw deer on morning. The yurt was cozy warm and cute. There are no doors inside very open space I didn't realize at first in photos. I would feel uncomfortable staying with not close friends just having curtin for bathroom. But with husband and kids it was find for us.
If I had to complain the mattress was super soft, sunk in. I can sleep anywhere but it was difficult. And the pull out mattress look little too stained and worn. Time for a upgrade.

Perfect couple retreat
Perfect location! The bay was beautiful! 40 min drive to Cannon Beach. 15 minutes to Rockaway Beach. Close to Tillamook! Get the curds. We got charcoal and grilled steaks. (Brought seasoning from home) and bought a bag of salad. Found a great local bar with good food 5 min away. The hot tub under the stars was amazing and it was very clean!
It’s a yurt! It’s on someone’s property. It’s not super secluded BUT there was nobody to one side and and saw only a couple of people the whole weekend. I fell in love with the Oregon Coast!!

Cute Yurt
We had a great time staying here! Although, I felt like I was invading someone's property at first because there were a few cars that were parked by the yurt. The sound of cars going by was a bit louder than I thought and didn't know where it was coming from. Other than that, this place was very cute and cozy!

The yurt is located right on the water and is in a beautiful area. The problem is the canvas walls don't mask any sound. While we realize this going in to the rental it accentuates the late night barking dogs. The 6am shotguns and the midnight racoon fights. Also a quick peak behind the canvas layers revealed a massive amount of mold which reaked havoc on our allergies.

The yurt is in a wonderful location with a fabulous view of the bay and birds galore, and has tons of potential. The yurt itself is very cozy. However, the listing did not depict the house on the same property which appeared to be the owners of the yurt. Each evening, very early, when we tried to enjoy the front deck with the bay view, in the outbuilding/garage next door (with the door open the entire time) someone turned on bright florescent lights and rummaged around briefly, but lights were left on until we were back in the yurt. It made us feel as though we were teenagers and the evening was to come to a close. Also, while we were eating breakfast, through our window at the kitchen table, we could see a woman peering in from the roof top/balcony from the same house - it was a door off of the bedroom and she stared in while smoking. We also had limited sleep because of the loud traffic noise from HWY 101 at night and then in the mornings guns shots went on and on. The the first morning, I thought there was an active shooter and as I laid in bed and I thought of an exit plan. After we got up, we looked it up online and found there is a local gun range. We will not be back.
