About this house rental
Enjoy our home with panoramic view of widest part of lake. You can relax either on the huge bilevel main deck behind house or on the roof deck of boat dock. We have 2 community boat ramps, as well as a pool, a playground, additional day slips for boat docking, and a club house within walking distance at the Wildwood community area (free for renters).
Our home is set up to accommodate families. It is designed for 6 adults and the rest kids. There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor. The master bedroom has a king bed and large sitting area in front of windows with view of lake, and the master bath has a soaking tub and separate shower. The guest bedroom has a queen bed, and there are 2 twins in 3rd BR.
NO SMOKING please.
The bottom floor has a queen in one BR and 2 twin beds in another BR (perfect for kids). There is a large game room on the bottom floor with fun bamboo tiki bar, table tennis, foosball, and a game table. Also on the bottom floor is a large media room with 58 inch flat screen smart HDTV. The house is ideally set up for 2 or 3 adult couples and the rest kids but no more than 10 total persons at any time.
Sandy beach area with 4 kayaks and 3 paddleboards provided. Make family memories while paddling, boating, wakeboarding, skiing, and swimming in the lake right behind the house. See incredible sunsets while grilling out.
We can accommodate 1 boat in covered boathouse and tie off to cleats, no boat lift.
Only 1 boat allowed - this includes jet skis. The covered boat slip is 9 feet wide and 23 feet long . No large boats.
We share a double boathouse with our neighbor and our half is the left hand side with private boat slip and upper deck.
We do not allow jumping off of top of dock for safety reasons.
Great central location on lake just around Wildwood Point from Lizard Creek. Near Goat Island (must do boat stop), Pea Hill Creek, Stonehouse Creek, and the Eaton Ferry Bridge.
Located in northeast quadrant so area conveniences within 1 mile include Food Lion, gas station, pharmacy, movie rental, restaurants, Ace Hardware, Dollar Store, NAPA auto, boat store, ABC, and drive through ice vending machine. There is a new jet ski rental business at entrance to neighborhood.
Nearby are churches, a plant nursery, golf course, mini golf, Farmers Market, and flea market. Our house is a good base for a visit to Rosemont of Virginia Vineyards and Winery.
The house is directly across the lake from Stonehouse Timber Lodge Marina with ethanol free gas, boat rentals, and bait. It is a short boat or car ride to the Pointe Restaurant and Morningstar marina with docking, gazebo, boat rentals, and live music and the Waterview Restaurant (both with docking facilities).
The house has monday garbage pick-up with 2 trash bins. We also have spectrum cable bundle high speed wifi, tv, and landline phone. We have county water supply, so no smelly well water.
New to rental market in 2015; we are consistently upgrading and adding features.
New this year - paved path to lake and deck board replacement.
The house has a joyful feeling of being in the country away from it all with all the conveniences and luxuries of modern living: wifi, trash pickup, city water, cable tv, community pool (in season Memorial to Labor Day).
We are renting on a weekly basis from Friday to Friday. Check in time is 1600.
Dogs are welcome with a non-refundable pet fee of $125.00 per dog. Please provide details about dog(s) to owners.
2 dog limit unless alternate arrangement made with owners. No cats please.
Dogs must have up to date vaccinations and current flea treatments and be acceptable to us the owners and renters must clean up after their dog.
This is our second home and we have set it up nicely. We are looking for renters who will treat this like their own home and take care of it; we in turn will provide the opportunity for a great wholesome family lake experience. This is not a fishing cabin or a fraternity type house or party type house. There is no parking on upper lawn due to septic drain field.
Due to neighbors there should be no loud outdoor noise after 10 pm.

We had a super time on our vacation! Much needed relaxation and time to laugh ALOT! The house is spectacular with everything you would need for a perfect vacation.....even a Kitchen Aide Stand Mixer! I've never had that before anywhere! This is a wonderful place for a family vacation or even a girls week!

I've been coming to the Lake since 1990 and in the last 4 years, my wife and I have started bringing our next generation and extended family with us to this particular property. It has truly become our quiet oasis, even our dog is disappointed when we have to leave. Everything from the beautiful house and views to the interactions with the family that own the property have been nothing short of amazing.

Great set up for family groups with adult children and grandchildren. Beautifully located on lake with a small private Sandy beach. Movie/ theatre room was a surprise. Community pool was wonderful too. Beautifully decorated.

We go to a different house every year for brothers Bdays. This years had a Perfect location. House had a great floor plan upstairs and down. Bedrooms at opposite ends. Views were especially great from upstairs. 16 stairs btwn up and downstairs. Great paved walkway almost to the boathouse dock. Community pool up and to the right -nice walk. Parking was great-driveway is steep. Outdoor furniture and cushions great. Had everything needed in kitchen. Highly recommend. Owners were awesome! We rented a boat from Lake Gaston watersports-great to work with and close. Boat was docked at the house all week. Great memories were made!!

My family of 6 and I love this place!! It’s the perfect spot! It fits our family beautifully and there is plenty of room if kids want to bring friends too. We rent a boat from Eations Ferry Marina and all of the other toys from AF Wake! This place has become a family tradition of ours… perfect way to kick start the summer!

This property has everything you need for the perfect Lake Gaston getaway. Spacious home with lots of amenities and the proximity to the grocery store is ideal. This home is clean and nicely decorated. All furniture is comfortable and in good condition. Communication with the owners is outstanding. This was our second time staying in this home and we would choose it again for our next trip to the lake.

This home has it all. Spacious bedrooms, a well stocked kitchen, and plenty of things to do - including kayaks, paddleboards and spectacular views from the top deck. We loved staying here and cannot wait to come back. It is also very conveniently located near the only grocery store on the lake. If you've ever stayed on the other side of the lake or far from this location, you will appreciate this convenience more than you know!

Six good old girls from the graduating class of 1987 (35years) Reunion. Excellent rental, ample room and space for everybody to spread out. The bedding and linens were fantastic! Super Duper loved the TV room for late night movie and popcorn. We will probably be back And most definitely recommend. Not a single disappointment.

This house was perfect for our growing family- plenty of space - the private beach was great for the toddlers- the host was very good at communicating and the amenities in the house were generous.

This perfect, lakefront property has everything one could need! We came as a couple with our two boys - ages 6 and 9 along with our well behaved, large dog. The house is incredible well decorated and comfortable with clean bedding and beautiful aesthetic decor that isn't often found in rentals that do high turnover business. You can see the love and care of the owners in the property. We made use of the fire pit, kayaks, paddle boards, and pool noodles along with the two tiered deck for fishing. Both boys caught fish which made their trip. The small beach area is next to a tiny cove and the graded entry made getting the kayak's in and out of the water a breeze. The end of the dock was around 6 ft and we could jump off the bottom dock. We didn't bring a boat but there was a covered dock for that purpose. We didn't use the very close pool that is part of the rental but might next time. We grilled one night and the grill is well maintained. The downstairs has another two bedrooms with a movie room with ample comfortable seating and we used all parts of the game room with the ping pong table, large chess board, and many games. There are hammocks on the lower level large patio with strung lights for a peaceful evening and chairs aplenty for making music around the campfire. The owners were very responsive and helpful. We will be back!

This is one of the best stocked rentals we have been too. Linens, laundry, kitchen items including coffee and filters were all ready to go. Paddle boards and kayaks are great. Pool was convenient and clean. Overall a really great location.

Once again a total success. We've been coming to Lake Gaston for 30 years and all though we've enjoyed every visit, I can say unequivocally that after 3 visits to this property, these have been our most enjoyable and best experiences. We will continue coming back for as long as the owners will have us.

We went to spend a short getaway at this adorable lake house. It had so much space, everything was clean, the lake was fantastic and we could even bring all our dogs. We can’t wait to go back for another trip— this time we will stay a whole week.
Other highlights: the dock, paddle boards, kayaks, ping pong table, refrigerator downstairs so we didn’t need to walk through the whole house for drinks, ice cream place close by, food lion close by, and the big bathtub in the master bathroom.

What a perfect home for a multi- generational family vacation! There was not 1 thing that could have been better- maybe the walk down the hill to lake if you have older family members. We had a few rainy days but it didn’t matter because there were plenty of indoor activities as well!
Overall this is the best home we have rented in the 38 years we have been doing family vacations- a HUGE thank you to the owners for making our stay so wonderful!

We also loved the game room! I think we were the first guest of the season as the outside decks and boat slip were dirty and full of cobwebs. I spent the first hour of our stay cleaning.
